Wildernis Cafe & Bar
The brainchild of locals Andy Canfield and Josh Bailey, Wildernis is a fusion of a relaxed dining atmosphere with some of the best beers, wines and cocktails the Gold Coast has on offer.
Designed and constructed by the boys themselves, Wildernis is surrounded by a botanical border of useful plants – Andy and Josh are growing their own lemons and limes and have an internal herb garden, with the closed in honeycomb design sun roof, it forms a greenhouse effect – as well as setting the vibe as an indoor/outdoor garden space.
Speckled with hanging plants and stag horns, Wildernis creates a unique destination for lunch, after work drinks and the perfect spot for weekend digs.
Wildernis is usually an incredible place for lunch, however, on this occasion the service was poor. The staff member looking after our table was quite rude and unwelcoming. Our order took a long time to come out even though the restaurant wasn’t very busy and only after asking twice about our beverages did they begin to make them. Quite disappointed but the food was delicious when it arrived.
Food was nice and good value for money but the service was really lacking, had to ask for cutlery and plates, when we went to pay the bill they said they could split it but it was all wrong, staff member was very confused, not a great ending to the night.
Amazing service and the juice I had was delicious! Would definitely go back and recommend to others.
Great venue food was beautiful staff were welcoming and very helpful and friendly will definately be back
Great little place for a morning coffee or a night out, awesome happy hour and great staff
Food was really tasty. Serving staff attentive and food served quickly. Good portion sizes. Lovely spot to watch streetscape in a calm and relaxing setting.
Good value for money.?
The live music was awsome, great vibe. Beer was cold, burger was just OK, the bun was cold and hard killed what would of been a good burger.
Wildernis is our new favourite local breakfast spot. My partner loves his big breakys and wildernis kept him satisfied with ‘the Hercules’. we will be back again and will tell all our friends and family about it.
Breaky date with my sons ! They love the breakfast it was delicious thank you so much
Average experience for expensive price tag.
Very over priced, will not return.
Arrived to find the downstairs restaurant closed, on a Friday night!!!
Too noisy upstairs, have to go to the bar to get drinks and order food. No table service for the money they are charging!
Not the dining experience I was looking for at all
Won't be back!!! Sorry
Definitely nothing to rave about. We got a call 15mins before our booking to say the rooftop was closed but you cant even eat the lunch menu up there anyways. We had to ask for menus after being sitted and waiting. Also the burger we had had no flavour was missing something was not impressed at all
Really amazing food! Good atmosphere! Would definitely go back with a group of people on the rooftop area
Great new spot ! Ambience fab and decor very on point! Would love to see you serving fever tree tonic with the ink gin just to make it extra special please
From the outset, it's difficult to see where to enter this bar, no table at the front to direct new customers and when we walked to the bar and finally got served, the staff were very busy. We were sat on a table right in front of the kitchen door, so servers were struggling to get by. It wasn't a pleasant place to sit! Food was just average but the drinks were nice. Not up to the service standards of the other new palm beach nightspots.
