Contemporary regional food from our country of origin, Laos, a small country which shares its borders with Cambodia, Vietnam, Thailand, China and Myanmar. Tribal people have traded and shared food ideas across this region for many generations. The key factor is the bountiful fresh harvest of herbs, spices, and food grown locally. Our family have roots back to being market gardeners caring about our daily food and preparing it with love. Sourcing our food is our main interest, finding people in our community to provide us with their produce giving us fresh ingredients daily. Our menu is a contemporary fusion of regional food honouring our Lao culture.

First time dining experience at Wild Rice. Such authentic delicious food. Could become my new favourite restaurant The staff were friendly efficient and attentive. Highly recommend.

As other reviews mention, the food is well worth the visit and delicious, for a reasonable price. The decor is a little dated, but the living plants and creepers are a nice touch. The staff were good. The noise levels are high because the venue is popular, though well situated close to the centre of town. Highly recommend.

As discussed with the male at the counter. Once we received our food and and drinks, we weren’t attended to, to see how the food was or if we would like anymore drinks. We asked for the vegetarian entree platter and was brought the meat platter (twice).

The laksa was delicious. Dessert was a bit disappointing as I ordered banana fritter and got banana with sticky rice which was a bit dry.

Delicious as always. The papaya salad was so fresh and zesty. And the duck curry, delicious. The Lemongrass cocktail was amazing. The kids loved it and tried some things new to them. I will be back again and again.

Chicken Satay, coconut prawns and spring rolls were delicious. The fish cakes and tofu skewers were very dry and somewhat disappointing. The Larb Gai chicken salad was a very tasty and interesting. I recommend you choose Laos dishes which were nicer than the Thai dishes, in my opinion.
