Very disappointing. We booked this restaurant thinking it was Le Parisien because we wished to return after a dinner early this year. Name change had not been communicated to us and even the receipt for dinner was titled Le Parisien. (and the Menu cover still has this) Menu was very limiting, wine list even more (2 to 3 wines per type). Steak was $49 plus a charge of $6 for sauce. Steak was warm and vegetables close to cold and steak not cooked as requested. This was a special celebration and other guests felt the same. Sweet prices were $20-23.
Female toilets were closed so guests had to go downstairs and these were disgusting. The mens toilet could have had a sign on it Unisex and guests could have easily shared like some other restaurants.

Please don't go here if you think you are going for fine dining.

The food and ambience at La Parisien is wonderful. Our waitress was helpful and attentive and helped to make our lunch a very enjoyable experience. We especially enjoyed the chocolate 'Happy Anniversary' on my cream brule. Thank you very much.

I'm really sorry to write this because I love this restaurant but my recent experience was very disappointing.
There were 4 tables in the restaurant at the time i was there. In such a lovwly swtting all 4 tables were bunched in close proximity. The waitress was very sombre and rattled. So much so that we offered to assist her with our order. For the most part the food was lovely except my choice was under-cooked. The last part of our order was forgotten so I walked up to cancel it. We were the only table left and I could not the Waitress's attention. For a venue I have enjoyed for many years, this will proably be the last time I go back.

Pre-booked for six through Open Table. On arrival they didn't have a table for six set up so we had to wait until they pushed some table together and arranged the place settings. After that however, we were treated to some worthy cuisine. Good variety of dishes on the menu. Service was excellent - we weren't rushed at all. This was the first time I had tried snails and found them tasty. The mains were very well plated. All of our group enjoyed our meals. Overall it was a very memorable evening.

One of my favourite restuarants. We always go when we go to Geelong. Love it. It is a bit pricey, but the food and service is next level.

Lovely position upstairs overlooking sea..
Well versed wait staff - not many diners in the restaurant Saturday night, and they were very attentive.
The price of menus gave the expectation of typically French food. I found the short order menu unusual in brevity, no chefs recommendations or seasonal dishes. The crème caramel was perfect, but $20 is Melbourne and Sydney CBD price. Perhaps more diners would visit if the food reflected the prices asked.

The service was very poor. Considering it was lunchtime and they only had 10 tables. They forgot our drink order. Then they didn’t have any oysters and they forgot our mains. Two tables that arrived after us were served their mains before us?? Very disappointing

Oysters to start were nothing special.
Scallops were excellent as was the Gnocchi
Sword Fish was also good however the Belly Pork was very disappointing, dry and as for crackling well hmmm.
Kitchen Service was slow the Oysters and starter taking forever.
Table service was poor with 2 members of staff on and a large wedding party to attend to as well as patrons.
Overall very disappointing lunch with very little French ambiance.
Certainly not worth the $250 we spent.
Would not recommend.
