Excellent Staff! Delicious Food!
Buttermilk Fried Chicken My Fav! Mist try Toffercake for Dessert
Always a great place to eat! Everything is good. Burger is the best in LA.
Wonderful corner booth for our group... adorable server and delicious food!!
We had a birthday celebration during lunch and the service and food was exceptional.
Westside Tavern has changed - not for the better. With the original owner/chef, the food was outstanding. I don't know how many new chefs have replaced him, but lately the chef has apparently decided that appetizers and entrees should have lots of hot chili included. I had to send back a cooked cauliflower that was inedible because it was so hot. This was not a great idea: spicy foods may be the latest "fashion" but they're not the key to successful meals, nor is over-salting dishses. Other herbs and seasonings, thoughtfully blended in, would be a much better choice! The bartender is awful, and either needs a refresher course in mixology, or should be replaced. Twice I've sent back cocktails which had no balance of ingredients, and the second time, I actually sent back three cocktails until I just gave up. They were really lower than mediocre. I wish the original dishes would be brought back. Disappointing!
I have been going to the Westside Tavern since the day it opened and continue to frequent this
restaurant. The food is consistently great and it is so convenient after a movie at the Landmark
Theater. Staff is always friendly and attentive.
Their cocktails are outstanding and I often sit at the bar with a friend to dine during the late
afternoon because the bartenders have terrific personalities.
Our go to place to dinner before a movie and group dinners!
Movie theatre and restaurant. Very good food and drinks were great. Recommend for easy, pleasant meal. Fried chicken is really good.
An amazing gastropub that just happens to be inside of a mall. Food is delicious, service was great, will definitely be going back. Was surprised to learn that it had been there for 7+ years
Love the restaurant and menu. Sometimes service can be slow — I wonder if restaurant is understaffed. The booth where we sat in the raised area of the restaurant was too dark.
Waiters are always friendly and upbeat for the most part. Bar drinks are fun. Wait to be seated is often long.
This is a regular stop. Food is always great and served with a smile!
The waiter staff at this restaurant is great. Every time we come here we comment on how efficient and cordial the waiters are. The food is always excellent and great value.
As always, the food was good, our server was lovely and informed, and the overall experience was great. Too bad the movie we saw after dinner wasn't as good!!!
It was great no
The best fried chicken since visiting the south.
Delicious grilled peach burratta salad.
Friendly excellent service.
We love Westside Tavern....love the food. Always great! So happy that they take reservations now!
Not very busy when we arrived, staff was nice, just very slow for the amount of people. Food was good however, menu seems very limited and pricey for what you get, great beer selections though 👍🏼
Waiter had to be asked 3 times to bring lemon for water Then 2 times to bring an Arnold Palmer
Love this place. Consistently delicious
Good food good service. Good menu. Overall good experience.
We asked for a quiet table and were given a table in the unattractive back room, which coincidentally has no sound-absorption. As the room filled up, the noise level became uncomfortably loud. Next time I will eat in the much larger, much prettier main room.
Had the coconut curry lentil dish- fantastic. I do wish they offered more vegetarian dishes- but at least this one wS great. Served was a very sweet guy- wish I could remember his name so I could give him a shout out.
Great food and great service. One of my favorite restaurants.
Have never had a bad meal here. The menu is small and everything is excellent. We have been going here for years and they never disappoint.
Always outstanding/delicious food! One of my favorite go to restaurants. Staff is fantastic!
As usual at this restaurant the food was good and the servers pleasant, but it took forever for them to clear our table and offer us dessert or the bill. The default is pretty much always the bill since there’s no longer time for dessert.
Food is consistently good. Our waitress, Melody, was a delight.
With two children and three adults, we were all able to choose something we enjoyed from the menu. I particularly like the tempura green beans as a starter to share & was not disappointed. Parking is easy and three hours free which, in car centric LA, is a real plus. The restaurant is not in my neighborhood and is usually a 30 minute drive, but I’ll return frequently...always a pleasant experience.
Consistently good food at a convenient neighborhood spot
Very crowded and loud after 6:00 on weekends. Fast service. Food (at least my salad) less carefully prepared than in the past.
The food, service, and ambience was excellent! We love the different menu choices! Everything was hot and delicious!
Philip, our server, was pleasant and he brought our food the way we asked it to be.
The wine that we wanted had frozen, for the temperature in the fridge was too cold, so he brought us another white wine that was comparable.
I asked for my hamburger to have no bun, but to use double lettuce to be able to hold it in my hand when I eat it. Philip listened to what I wanted and brought my food exactly the way I asked for it.
The hamburger tasted wonderful.
We were 20 mins late but staff did an amazing job finding our party a table. Server was very friendly, food came out on time, and cocktails were on point. I will come back again!
Philip (?) Selena, our server, was wonderful.
Over the past few years, the portions have gotten smaller and the prices higher. Also, the preparation of the food has become a bit sloppy (i.e., chopped salad not really chopped).
I had a delicious plate of halibut off the special menu. It was really fresh and tasty. Our server was helpful and accommodating.
We have been going to the Westside Tavern for many years. We always thought that the food was great . Our dishes were not good. My husband had the crab in a pasta. I think that it had three pieces of crab meat--and the dish was so drenched with butter sauce that it was swimming with oil. On top of that, the pasta was overdone. I had the trout, that was not fresh and was not good. We did not complain, because we were dining with our friends and did not want to make a fuss.
It is convenient to go there after a movie at the Landmark, but I think this was our last time at this restaurant.
We arrived and were promptly greeted by name. The ambiance was simple, clean and cheerful. Our food and service were excellent and presented nicely at the correct temperature.
My wife and I will return for dinner in the future. I confidently recommend giving this place a try and take in a movie next door afterwards.
