    Put this place in your “bucket list”. Everything about this place just makes you want to make another booking on the way out. The service, food, presentation, atmosphere and great views overlooking the vineyard has no rival close to Ballarat. The restaurant at the Wayward Winery is setting a standard for others to aspire. 10/10.

    We had the chefs experience $85.00 per head. There were 4 of us and we shared each dish. A Wide variety of dishes, plentiful and very well seasoned. Friendly team. Will definitely return.

    We had a great time at Wayward Wines, but I must say we had actually better mix of dishes from our 'Grazing' chef's choice at our previous visit. This time, we needed up with quite a lot of pizzas and not quite a true reflection of the variety that their menu promises. We were wondering if the kitchen was little overwhelmed as it was a busy lunch service, even running out of food...? Nonetheless it is a lovely place to send a long leisurely Sunday lunch.

    We originally booked for 6, then added 2 more ppl. Selected the a "a la carte" option on the booking site on bith occasions. On arrival it was pointed out 8 guests or more cannot have a la carte, must have $69 per person set menu. Made plans to leave and eat elsewhere but convinced establisment we should have a la carte option. This should always be an option. Won't be going back again I'm afraid.

    Food was amazing, the staff were personable and attentive, amazing scenery & location, great table setting. Would absolutely visit again. Only downfall was we found it a little too loud inside but other than that it was great.

    We came to the winery for our first wedding anniversary. The winery, the food and the staff were incredible! If I had one complaint it was that the table next to us were loud, shouting and screeching not two feet from us- but that is out of their control.

    We opted for the $85 chef's choice banquet and enjoyed all the dishes with just the right amount of food. Variety was good and wines to match we loved and bought some take home of WOW Syrah and Clarnette Pinot. Staff were knowledgeable about food and wine along with friendly and helpful. We'll be back!

    Really enjoyed the food. New takes on old favourites. The wines are superb. The service was excellent and very friendly. Go early for lunch before it gets too noisy.

    Great location - even on a winter's day. Food was excellent. Needed to order a different varietal of red wine to accompany the meal of duck as the Syrah was not what I expected, perhaps the bottle had been opened too long. Anticipated enjoying a coffee with dessert but machine had been chemically cleaned by 3pm.

    We had a nice time and caught up with some friends. Originally, we planned to have 8 people but ended up with 9 so we had the chef's choice. The food was nice, but the general feeling was nice pizza's but would have preferred to choose from an a la carte menu. Recently I had a special Roast Chicken or Roast Beef dish with side vegetables that catered for 20 plus people in the one group. Everyone loved it. Just a suggestion for group bookings, certainly easy to do and good value at around $45.00 per head plus drinks. This allows people to consider purchasing wine as well as they leave. But I enjoyed the pizza and other lead up dishes.
