We thoroughly enjoyed our dining experience last Sunday at Wairau River Wines Restaurant.
The atmosphere was quite lively initially as everyone had come inside to dine due to the inclement weather, however the professional & friendly staff and the delicious food & wine more than made up for this and it soon calmed down once meals started to arrive & everyone settled in to their food.

It was also lovely to showcase some marvellous Marlborough produce to our overseas guests who really enjoyed the visit. Thank you Wairau River Wines :)

Outstanding food - the cheese souflee is the one to have. Brilliant souflee and lovely and well dressed salad to go with it. Staff are very friendly and efficient. Indoor space is very attractive though with hard surfaces everywhere it can be a bit noisy when busy. Lots of lovely outdoor seating overlooking the vineyards is available.

We chose the prawns and the soufflé thanks to the waiter’s advise and both were delicious. The prawns were absolutely perfect and quite the nicest we have had for ages.

This was our second time eating at Wairau River, and the food was just as delicious as the first time (although, it is worth noting that they had updated/tweaked their menu from last time. Keeping it nice and fresh!). We love the location, and enjoyed sitting outside next to the vineyard. We enjoyed a bottle of Summer Riesling with our meal, and it was a great accompaniment!
