Wafu Noodle & Korean BBQ
Rated very highly by the New York Times!
We do delivery with Uber Eats, Grub Hub, and Door Dash!
It was too bad the restaurant was short staffed but our waiter Bennett tried so hard!
Very excellent service. Food was great but towards the end everything started tasting the same. Drinks were great! There was a dessert menu with 5-7 choices, but the waiter said all they had was tempura ice cream. We were seated in front of the door so it was pretty chilly.
The main course was great, however I was just not a fan of the fermented sides. They gave us about 10 small portion sides but 6 were fermented options. The sauces were either milky, sweet or super spicy.
Great weekend lunch
It was a great experience for our first time there and trying Korean BBQ, something I’ve always wanted to experience. The ambiance was beautiful. The food was simply delicious and would definitely come back.
Made a reservation but restaurant was only doing takeout or delivery. Was never informed of this.
Very clean and very yummy - as always, many thanks
Wonderful experience! The food, ambiance and service was excellent. Thank you.

Overall a wonderful experience! The food is delicious.
Awesome Staff awesome food awesome saki bombs
Overall a great restaurant. The only issue for us was that there was live music and it was a little too loud for a work conversation. But would likely be good for those looking for that.
Exceptional food and service. Great place.
Our waiter was excellent. Food was mediocre. Was told about two locations- May try the other because it’s easier to find. Will give another try.
The restaurant business in Westport CT is brutally competitive. The majority of the population does not eat out regularly as it does in NYC. Everyone who does eat out, does so within a very narrow period of time. A restaurant is either 'hot', full of both diners and take out orders, or not. Unfortunately neither of the two Wafu restaurants in Westport are hot. The consequences are evidenced by what happened to me at lunch Friday,
When I ordered the Bulgogi BBQ, a set of 9 round bansang were placed around the round cooker in the toble. Bansang is a collective name for small side dishes served along with cooked rice. Due to lack of diners, I had to send back 4 of the 9 because they were spoiled from being in the refrigerator too long. Britt, my excellent waiter, apologized immediately offering a free dessert. Then came the sliced short rib beef. Similarly, it had a vinegar taste from being in the refrigerator too long.
I have not returned to the restaurant since to see if the kitchen is serving fresh food. Let's hope it is.
JoJo and owner were great! Thanks for such a fun night!
I recommend Wafu if you're not a stickler about authenticity and you and your dinner party want to eat quasi-Korean style. Food is good -- there is some pan-Asian variety on the menu and everyone is well-prepared. You won't find the really traditional beanpaste-based Korean dishes or sauces though. Maybe I'm spoiled because I grew up around this sort of food and around pretty authentic Korean BBQ restaurants where you left dinner smelling like what you ate... Overall, though, it was a good place; my in-laws enjoyed it even more than I did.
