For a very special occasion it was memorable. The food was unique something you wouldn’t get anywhere else. The service was informative and not intrusive at all. Of course the views were spectacular. Thanks
We dined for a special occasion and an experience it was! There was some confusion on arrival As there were guests milling around and the entrance is a little discreet! Everything about this restaurant boasted fine dining! The service was on point and the food no less - the Produce was of exceptional quality and every bite was an experience! The beverage staff were very knowledgeable and complimented the food! I cannot fault our 17 courses apart from the pork suckling skin not being crisp!
The experience was amazing the food very taste and the staff out of this world
Have no disappointed to dining with beautiful night view.
I can understand the venue's popularity, the view is outstanding, and the food is....different, but unfortunately some was not to our liking. Not everyone like their food nearly raw. the marron was stringy and chewy because it was still raw as was the wagu beef. The service was efficient but impersonal, one feels rushed to make room for the next sitting. The restaurant is noisy and thus loses any romantic air. All in all an OK once only experience.
Excellent service and interesting meal
Incredible faultless experience. Every single dish was exquisite!
Finest food and service, sitting with the best city view!
Vue de Monde is an exceptional dining experience. The quality of food and wine is amazing. The wine matches with the degustation menu are brilliant. Whilst it's rather pricey, it's a wonderful place for a special occasion. It does not disappoint.
The most amazing food experience I have ever had. Just perfect!
Couldn’t fault the food! The flavours and textures were amazing, couldn’t wait to see what came out next! The staff were excellent at walking through each dish and were bearly noticable when changing cutlery and topping up water which is perfect. We personally loved the involvement of getting to put together some dishes like the damper but not damper, mud crab snags and Davidson plum sorbet dish. The view was amazing and the decor and open kitchen made the atmosphere.
16 different dishes! All absolutely beautiful and unusual. Probably a bit too much food in the end. Could have been smaller pork and duck servings to save more room for the delightful desserts. Overall a not to be missed experience that will be talked about for years.
Amazing service, awesome atmosphere, decent food, value for money is an absolute shocker.
Baby glazed carrot ? Cmon
We were in Melbourne for a couple of days, and decided to try this restaurant based on their reputation. We were not disappointed! From the quality of food, service, to ambience, the experience was exceptional. My husband had the food/wine pairing, I had just the meal. Comparing our experience to French Laundry, we felt this restaurant's food was as good, if not better.
The only quirky thing I experienced was that every now and then, the staff (there were 6-8?) in the open kitchen would yell out "yes chef!" in unison...a bit theatrical.
Blown away by the beautiful menu, exceptional friendly service, knowledgable and staff and attention to detail.
Vue De Monde is an incredible venue with excellent food and impeccable service. We were looked after from the moment we arrived until we left. I’d highly recommend this place for that special occasion.
Just the most amazingly brilliant and honest food experience. Loved every aspect and recommend this to everyone who wants to explore exquisite tastes, beautiful views and smooth service
Vue de Monde is an exceptional restaurant offering an unforgettable dining experience. The food, presentation, service, wine, view are all top notch. If you happen to find yourself in Melbourne, plan ahead and grab a reservation.
Service was amazing, good creativity was excellent although some dishes like the duck could be more tender. Seafood was the highlight and everything was fresh.
The best restaurant in Australia. Hands down.
The food was spectacular, the ambience and view was outstanding, the service was amazing special thank you to Vianni, Roman and Bomi. An unforgettable dining experience would highly recommend anyone visiting Melbourne. Well worth
The entire experience.
The views from the restaurant and overall ambience was great.
Foodwise, the ingredients were very fresh but most dishes were overly salty. According to the staff, this was apparently the style of the cuisine which unfortunately did not suit our taste buds. Also found relatively large pieces of crab shells on two different plates for one of the dishes.
Overall, the experience wasn't great as we were expecting a lot more from Shannon Bennett's restaurant, and for the price paid.
We last went to VDM 3 years ago and it was exceptional on every level. Since then the chef has changed and whilst still very good we felt the menu was hit and miss; admittedly more hit but not 100% amazing.
We chose the Premium Wine Pairing, which was very enjoyable, however with most of the wines costing only $100-$150 on the list and being charged $250 per head for the pairing I would invest the $500 on two better bottles of wind next time.
All up, a great experience with good food and wine
The service from arrival to departure was flawless, we were made to feel so valued and welcomed. The chef's menu and matched wines were spectacular, with the kitchen and sommelier more than willing to adjust to our taste. The dining room had fantastic views and didn't have too many people squeezed in, which created a quiet, private setting. We couldn't fault our experience and won't hesitate to recommend it to our friends and family. Thank you everyone!
We knew that Vue was high end dining and the whole experience was absolutely excellent not to mention the view. We were expecting an expensive bill and are happy to pay as it was a special occasion however we were surprised and disappointed at being charged $90 for 2 glasses of champagne. We would have liked to at least be notified of such an expense prior to ordering it. Unfortunately this did mar the experience.
Still a special place; but the service and food didnt live up to my experience of a few years ago. Waiters seemed to be rushed and performing by rote. The service felt a bit like an assembly line as we watched table after table go through the same degustation routine of dry ice, flaming, cheese course etc. I doubt we’ll be back even in a few more years.
Exceptional quality food but you'll need to save up to go.
The place is just perfect
One of our best dining experiences to date. Vue de monde lived up to all of our expectations and beyond.
What a fabulous view, and with very special attention to the most delicious - exquisite - unusual food, with fun variation!
Could not recommend more highly and I am not easy to please.
And best of friendly and knowledgeable service by the staff.
It's not cheap but it's worth every dollar it's an experience not just dinner.
Exceptional service and food quality is amazing
Vue de Monde provides an experience not to be missed. The chef’s degustation menu was comprised of sixteen exquisitely presented courses which would be virtually impossible to duplicate outside of their own kitchen. The dining experience commences at reception desk on the ground floor and ends with being presented with a breakfast gift pack so you can continue your experience the next morning. The wine list is the most extensive I have ever seen. The night is expensive but unforgettable.
All round perfect (food, services and mood)
We came to celebrate my father's 80th. It was definitely a special experience. Very theatrical and the staff were amazing. They also surprised us by doing a lovely happy birthday plate.
The food was very good, and there were some interesting concepts but much of it lacked that special something that made you want to slowly savour and talk about afterwards. Some flavors were vey good, just not memorable.
I think I would say to people go for the theatrical experience and the views.
The service, food and wine list were exquisite. This is something that we would probably only do once, given the price but it is an experience we will never forget. I believe it really is overpriced by about $100 a head but worth it just once to experience the professionalism, warmth and knowledge of the staff and a fine dining experience like nothing I've ever encountered.
Nice view.Great food.Wine is not worth to be recommanded.
Absolutely fantastic food and wine! The lobster with corn, the oyster and the chocolate soufflé were the top dishes in a superb chefs tasting menu. We are from The Netherlands and had an amazing evening with out friends from Melbourne. Thank you team Vue de monde!
This was our 8 th time and my wife’s 71 st Birthday. We think this was probably our most enjoyable. The staff were excellent. Attentive without being over the top. We don’t like being fawned over and their level was just right. Food was amazing, as always.
