Villaggio Ristorante - Cape Cod
Absolutely fantastic evening! The food, service and atmosphere were wonderful and we highly recommend the calamari for an appetizer and the veal parmigiana are to die for! A must when in the mid cape area!
Our food was amazing! Jenna was great and we will be back for sure. Our new date night go to.

Service is not good.
The two women behind the bar are two busy. They do not pay enough attention to the customers
We served over 200 people in 4 hours on Thanksgiving day, Bartenders were crazy busy making drinks, taking tables, trying to pay attention to customers waiting at the bar for their table to be ready due to the shortage of staff. Would you care to volunteer to work next Thanksgiving Day...Chef J
We had thanksgiving dinner at Villaggio Ristorante and it was an absolute perfect place for the holiday dinner. The ambiance is total New England cozy. The staff was calm and helpful - we felt very well taken care of. My traditional t-giving meal was delicious. The turkey was perfectly cooked and the salad was deconstructed, very fresh and beautiful to look at. Our family had a lovely time.
Our waitress, Jenna, was as delightful as our turkey feast on Thanksgiving. Had a few pleasant comments with our waiter from last year, a real gentleman. Our host was very conscious of our experience and extremely accommodating.
Excellent food, attentive staff in a warm and charming atmosphere.
During these difficult times, everyone at Villaggio tried very hard to accommodate any recommendations. The food was excellent and I will definitely continue to visit!
This was the second time I ordered the filet mignon, both times l ordered rare and each time it came out closer to medium. Still very delicious, but not as ordered and for the $$$$$ it should be cooked properly.
My guests who dined with me were very impressed with Rose, our waitress, and her helpfulness. I am a frequent flyer to Villaggio (mostly sitting at the bar) and I'm always happy to dine with you.
Really excellent restaurant.
Was a bit noisy. But it was fine.
Is this really considered Fine Dining? We were really looking forward to a night out to celebrate a Birthday. On Open Table I added a request for a quiet table away from entrance/egress & noise - we were seated in an extremely noisy bar/pub area and next to a waitstaff entrance/egress staircase where the waiter was barreling down the stairs every couple of minutes.
Service was totally disappointing; we had to ask for cocktails, for bread, for lemons, to order dinner. While taking our drink order our waitress yelled from our table to the next table "hey, do you want another beer?" When we inquired why everything was taking such a long time (30 minutes for a drink and 1 hour 15 minutes for our 2 appetizers) our waitress commented "well, you should not make a reservation on a Saturday night, come on a weekday".
Appetizers: The giant sized 'sautéed' calamari was drowning in a red sauce (not noted on menu) you could not take a bite without reaching for water, the eggplant rollatini was cold in the middle.
The meals: Linguine w Clam Sauce was so salty it could not be eaten, it was returned and it was taken off the bill - unbelievably our waitress claimed that they use no salt in any dish from the kitchen. The Seafood Fra Diavolo was good. The lobster ravioli was very good.
All in all this was a very expensive and disappointing experience. I cannot recommend. Beware, the handle on the entrance door is missing!!
good service nice place would defintely go back and recommend it to friends
We're locals just finally getting to this gem. Delicious food, across the board. Rich, authentic Italian. Cozy charming ambiance, very warm and professional service. We'll be making this a new regular spot.
In this day and age of staffing issues" Villagios" did a wonderful job welcoming us, seating us. We did have to wait for our drinks and to order our food but it was worth the wait.
First day open after the storm & the food/drinks were wonderful for a birthday dinner!
The door is falling off, we waited 15 minutes to be seated, another 30 minutes for water and drinks, the food took 1:45 from when we arrived. Wait staff spent more time talking with locals than doing their jobs. Food was cold and the food that wasn’t was mediocre.
Service was slow and the server was unfriendly.
Uninviting atmosphere and the staff was not attentive.
Would not recommend for the money.
Tim knocks it out of the park every time we visit. This is the place we chose to hold our wedding reception many years ago and every time return to the Cape, it's the first reservation we make. (This restaurant is always, always busy so make your reservations!!). The staff, the food and every moment there is a joy. Tim went to the effort of putting the lights on upstairs for us to go and see the room we held our reception in. This restaurant is a 10++++ Nothing compares to their menu or food. Thanks from our hearts we'll be back next week. Marion Carcone & Fred Shipman xo
Obviously suffering from lack of staff. Waiter had too many tables to cover and food was indifferent
Food and service were excellent
Food just ok! To pricey for med quality food!
We had been guests of some friends a few months ago ang love our time here. When other friends busted us we knew this was the place.
Our server Jenna was outstanding. Lovely personality and very attentive without being annoying. Made good recommendations for us from the menu. Food was top notch - even for the gluten free one in the party thanks to an attentive kitchen staff. Excellent cocktails. Only disappointment was a few desserts we were wanting to try were unavailable. We will be back to enjoy again.
Flavor in every bite. The chef knows exactly what to combine and how much of each ingredient he should use to make every bite a treat. More than ample portions make take-home a habit. The best Italian food we have had on Cape Cod, Villagio has a menu with a little bit of everything to satisfy every fetish. We love Rose, our waitress (with many more responsibilities that go above and beyond customer interface). Our experience is that the whole staff does a great job of making the dining experience very enjoyable there. It's cozy--quintessential Cape Cod--with smaller spaces and a very large U-shaped bar with hand-hewn ceiling beams that keep things intimate. Highly recommemded!
Great food. You can't go wrong with Fra Diavolo, chicken parm, Pesto is a little creamier than I like but it's delicious. It is my "go to" Italian restaurant in Mashpee.
Server worked hard but it seemed like the place was under staffed—- and that’s everywhere here in Rhe Cape.
Very classy place with excellent food— big oortions
We didn’t know what to expect, but were pleasantly surprised. The menu had great dishes to choose from - many traditional Italian dishes, but also a number with a Cape Cod flare to them.
The wine list, although not extensive, had great choices. The dessert menu had great choices as well. Our benchmark is always the cannoli - which passed with flying colors (crisp shell, great-tasting cream filling). Even the after dinner drink choices (an array of port wine, limoncello) were spot on.
My wife was not happy with her decaf cappuccino. Otherwise, everything was delicious! This is now one of our favorite restaurants on Cape Cod.
This restaurant is Top Shelf in every respect! The food is outstanding! We had the Crab Cake, Eggplant Rolltini and Brussels Sprouts for apps with a nice bottle of Duckhorn Merlot. The Purgatory Chicken and Tenderloin Tips were perfection! Jay, the Owner and Chef makes it a point to check in how our dining experience is! Our wonderful, excellent server, Rose remembered us and what we like to order from a year ago! Rose made our night special! Rose is a Gem! We just wish we weren't 70 miles away.
Loved our server Molly and the food was great. Great combinations, flavors and sauces. A must if on the Cape.
Waitress could have been a little more friendly. She was very good just not as friendly as you would like to have
This was our second visit to the Villaggio. The building is very old and and beautiful. There are three small dining rooms; two on the front of the building with a lot of natural light and one off of the bar room. Unfortunately, we were seated in the third room which was very dark and our table was next to the bar which was a bit noisy. That is the only downside. The food was delicious and the waitress was very friendly, helpful and efficient. I would recommend this restaurant but ask to sit in one of the two front rooms.
Wonderful staff, food delicious. Chef VERY accommodating for Celiacs. Gluten free pasta!! And rice breaded veal.
This is the second time my family and I have been here and we love it.
The atmosphere is quaint and the people are always so nice.
Our waitress this time went above and beyond and was phenomenal.
She was so busy but had smile on her face all night and made us feel like we were the only people in the restaurant.
We will go back there again and again
Villaggio is our " go to " restaurant for special occasions and for good reasons. Let me start with our server , Rose , she was wonderful, attentive with out being intrusive while dealing with multiple parties . I had ordered a Tomahawk steak in advance and it was magnificent , prepared as ordered with all the requisite sides and sauces . My wife ordered the macadamia salmon and it to was perfect . Our desert , bananas foster , indeed was special and a fitting end to a wonderful meal. I might add it was our anniversary and Rose indeed made it special.
sat at the bar, had TV going. Bartender was very engaging and the food was excellent. Little pricey but very good kitchen
We requested bar area seating so higher noise level not a negative.
Food was great, drinks were great, service was great.
Food was very good, service great, ambiance excellent… staff arguing over which server worked harder and “she never does enough” etc in dining room as we left. Not what your customers should be hearing.
