Drinks service was very slow we had to ask a few times where they were.
Food was nice I enjoyed it
Our friend had the grease from a steak spilt in him when being served .
Was an accident and the cost of one drink was deducted from the bill
I would return but maybe at a quieter time

I put noise level as high as there was live football on, but that added to the ambiance, it was busy and trying to get the attention of a waiter/ress was virtually impossible, if you have a full resturant, live football on and nearby sports/concert events it would make sense to have more staff on. Although our meal was lovely the lack of staff let your venue down

Really busy after the football and a concert at the Hydro that night. The service was first class and the quality of the food was top notch.

Unfortunately we had to return main meal, burger of low quality and found inedible. Also chips were undercooked that were served with fish. However starters were lovely and breakfast was delicious. I would return and hopefully issues with main meals was a one off. Service was great, very friendly and efficient.

Super value! Super sundae!
Starter, very impressive as was the meat.
The roast potatoes and vegetables were below par. Well below par.
The sweets were great, the sundae was brilliant.
VFM- can’t be beaten.
And the most enjoyable part of our whole experience was the result.

Food was exceptional, but the service was none existent! One of the waiters was lovely but he didn’t really serve us we didn’t get a check back and our table was wobbly! And it did take awhile for drinks to come!

Second time to the Village and I must say I enjoyed the Sunday roast buffet and huge sharing sundae! Lovely variety of food. Service and staff were lovely especially the girl from Australia who took care of us at our table. Would definitely recommend.

Advertised as 4 courses, but only starter main and dessert, how is this 4 courses?
On my first visit here we were given tea or coffee as well which is 3 courses but when asked if tea/coffee included we were told no.
Also disappointed to be told no hot desserts no longer available. Hope they aren’t cutting corners as they have increased the price since my first visit as well.
Still enjoyed the food though and staff nice too.

Like the variety in the menu. Chicken tenders are lovely and 3 are more than plenty. Staff really friendly. Only negative is that there are TVs all round but it is a sports bar design - not described as one though.

Practical and spacious bar area. Was a good choice for our impromptu extended family catch up. Our server Jay was very helpful and friendly, which is worth noting as the restaurant was exceptionally busy.

The staff were really friendly and welcoming and the decor was stylish but, compared to other carverys the choice was poor and food tasted microwaved. The carrots where black, cauliflower cheese was mush and there was no one to carve the meat. I just feel a bit more choice and properly cooked food would make a big difference. I wouldn't say I definately wouldn't be back but as we aren't local we may use if we stay in the hotel again. Thanks alot.

Food was nice, but on arrival we asked if there was a pre-theatre/set menu and were told that there was only the a la carte menu. As I was sure I had read online that there was a set menu for £17.95 I went to speak to the head waiter. When I said I was sure there was a set menu he smirked at me, turned and grabbed two set menus and gave them to me. Not impressed.

Had the Carvery. Good service from friendly staff. Food was good but the presentation of some of the starter portion dishes and deserts looked a bit cheap. Was still tasty though. Compared to the bar food which I have had before and rated 5 stars I would say I didn't enjoy this as much but that's possibly just a personal thing of the Carvery experience. Very good value for money.

As always a great selection of starters, but I miss the duck terrine- which was replaced by pork pie of all things :o(
Beef Wellington was outstanding, and the gravy was perfect -full of flavour and not as runny as usual. Loved the lemon posset and Elton mess. Cooked ham was also excellent. Cauliflower cheese, sprouts & carrots all great. Staff friendly and efficient without being intrusive.
Highly recommended on all levels 👌👌👌

This was pub grub at restaurant prices.
Staff not trained—-that’s a management issue, not a staff issue.

The food was very good but we were going to a concert service was quite slow so we ended up rushing never checked the bill until next morning thinking it was quite expensive and we had been overcharged by £36 was even charged for a pudding we did not receive! Would go back to Hotel as it was very nice but would definitely check the bill next time if we ate there.

Food was great! The only thing we were slightly disappointed in was the fact that it was a limited menu due to Michael buble being on at The SSE Hydro. Fortunately the food was excellent

We arrived at 6pm seated quickly. Orse taken quite quickly . Starter arrived and was slightly cold . Waited 40 mins for main meal arrived cold and the roasted veg and wedges were missing . These were to be with the chicken the waitress looked at me like how dare I ask where it was the food was cold and the chicken hard . I had to chase the rest of my food up twice to be told we are very busy . I then got a plate or wedges slug at me 20 mins later to go with my cold hard chicken . It took so long we did have time to have our dessert at it was then 8.10 by time we had finished . We took friends as a nice meal out and was cry embarrass d to say the least . Would not recommend in any way at all . NO apology other than it a been very very busy!

Service was very poor. Very slow in a restaurant that wasn’t busy. Continually chasing up orders, drinks requested in more than one occasion after ordering, coffee took 15 minutes. 3 were warm and clearly had been sitting, other 2 piping hot. Put a real downer on the visit after good visits previously

Booked but not told set menu only. Gluten free options minimal. Didnt get aiur puddings as needed to leave 2 hours after arriving for a concert. Part of my main course never arrived. What food came was good. So disappointed but bill reduced to compensate. Would rather have had our 3 course meal.

steak with Soya sauce broth was basically bathed in soya sauce so almost in edible. All other food was ok but not spectacular for the pice. Helpful staff and nice and quiet atmosphere after a busy day at work.
