Seating around 110 for dinners on dual sides of the restaurant, Vietnam House is a warm and welcoming venue, a great Valley lunch spot, and ideal for late night dinners, group celebrations or even a last minute take-away. The restaurant is open 7 days a week and can be found on Wickham Street, just a hop, skip and a jump from Fortitude Valley Train Station.
Good food and service . It was hot and air con wasn't doing much and there was a fair bit of smoke /fumes from kitchen, Better ventilation or air movement is needed they attempted with a pedestal fan but didn't work that well
They need to update the website. The menu online had be excited about the ribs, that were no longer available..
The special Rump was an ok substitute..
The food was very average and the service not very friendly
Food was really tasty and reasonably priced. Only down side was the dishes came out staggered, so one guest had finished eating by the time the last main dish was served.
We had a very enjoyable meal, the staff were friendly and efficient. The food was very yummy and good value.
Great Good and Service would definitely go back and try other dishes, value for money.
We ♥️ Vietnam House. The food, pricing and service you can't fault.
Wonderful food!!! Just love this place for the quality and freshness of authentic Vietnamese food!
Service was a bit slow and they didn't have any fish cakes.
I liked the food and the service, but it's definetly too noisy, avoid Fir-Sat nights
Great service, friendly staff, quick, food was amazing and tastes even better than what I remember
We tried Vietnam House as I had an Entertainment Voucher. My preferred dining is Asian no matter what occasion. I loved this place and will definitely go back again. Staff were friendly, atmosphere lovely, very affordable (even without the voucher) and food fantastic. The crispy egg noodles reminded me of my Thai mum's so brought back lovely family memories. Thank you.
Thanks so much for being so accommodating for our booking on Saturday 22nd June. It was comforting to know you were more than happy to assist us in our celebrations. Will definitely recommend others to eat here.
Excellent staff, excellent food, fantastic value. I will be coming back again!
good size portions. tasty meals and value for money. recommed to Pho beef. the char beef was a little tough. all in all id go back again
Great asian food and huge portions. The food was tasty and the new fit out is great.
A little bit of background music and allowing split bills would help
Looking for a dinner option with great food and healthy options to suit various tastes, we booked Vietnam House and everyone loved it. This time we were a party of 4 but I have been a few years ago with a larger group and remembered it as being excellent. Service was quick and good, and most importantly the food was delicious. I will definitely go back. One of the things we loved was that it was possible to have a conversation with our friends - some restaurants are so noisy that this becomes impossible.
We saw tables that also included (well behaved) children, so this is the type of environment that can accommodate families as well as groups and more intimate dinners.
Highly recommend Vietnam House!
Love coming here. Staff friendly and accommodating. Food is great value and real tasty!!
This was a great find. Service 100%, Food 110%. You must try the BABY CLAMS, a dish to die for
We will be going back
Great food, attentive service, lovely relaxed atmosphere
A bit disconcerting when you arrive and say that you have booked through OpenTable and staff member did not acknowledge whether she could find the booking or not. Not a friendly welcome however service was good and food came out quickly. Very enjoyable.
We visited Vietnam House for a girls get together. I've been here a few times before and it's usually much better than our experience. It took them a while to bring us menus. The food was tasty although the meat in my soup was mostly fat which didn't make it very enjoyable to eat and I also wasn't given very many noodles. I expected more for the price. Overall it was a pretty average experience but I probably would come back because I know it can be a lot better and it's also got a good variety on the menu to please everyone in a group. The service just needs a lot of improvement.
Enjoyed our dinner. The only reason I didn’t give higher rating is the aircon wasn’t working properly on a very hot Brisbane evening and it was very uncomfortable as no air was circulating.
Fast service, authentic fresh Vietnamese for our table. Unexpected great value steak and chips cooked beautifully with perfect complementary taste of a Vietnamese meatball.
Found a hair in the entree, informed the waiter who then brought out the appetiser and joked 'I've looked for hair'. Mains took over an hour and a half and only arrived after prompting. We left after a total of 3 hours and didnt have the desert. Staff refused to give use a discount or an apology in any way. Absolutely disgusted.
Great food but just go take-away as service is really poor. The girl working that day was rude and one green papaya salad was delivered once the others were almost finished with. We order 2 lemon lime bitters and they used an old flat lemonade to do them. They say service is until 10 pm but at 9:30 pm a waiter gave us the bill, pretty much asking us to leave. And finally, there was no booking done through OpenTable.
Quite unpolite staff, we did not now that we cannot split the bill and the waitress handled that really unpolitely almost yelling at us.
Ordered Glass noodles with crab. Was actually served krabsticks, not real crab. Entrees we're good, but fake crab was a big disappointment.
Fantastic food but far too noisy. The large table next to us were almost shouting their conversations at full volume, so we could not hear what each other were saying. When we asked the staff to ask them to quieten down, they did not. We would not eat there again despite the food being excellent.
Great spot, friendly and efficient staff, yummy fresh flavours. Well priced
