This casual dinner venue is a popular choice for date nights or evenings out with friends, seating every day at 5pm. The interior of Vespaio Restaurant is decorated with ceiling tiles, ceiling plans, vintage pendant lighting, classic table seating, a plethora of wine racks and vibrant accent walls.In addition to a full bar menu, Vespaio Restaurant offers a lengthy selection of mouth-watering and flavorful authentic Italian dishes. Menu items include carpaccio, mixed seafood stew, lasagna, mussels, calamari, spaghetti carbonara, chocolate hazelnut cake, panna cotta and green pasta with shrimp.     Our experience was very nice. The food was great, and our waiter's service was friendly and efficient, and he was particularly charming. I do wish that the wait staff was trained on how to correctly pronounce the items on the menu. For such a high-dollar restaurant touting authentic Italian food, that should be a prerequisite.

    Such a gem of a restaurant! We live here and have been to Vespaio many, many times. They do so much exceptionally well (service, ambiance, food). Areas of improvement: bread. Come on, that’s easy. The bread is just sub-par and while some may enjoy the white bean accompaniment, they should have a simple olive oil dip as an alternative. Perhaps a cheese board as well? Maybe an olive bowl appetizer to go with the bread? The other improvement is to have some really simple, clean, healthy entree options without all the butter and richness and spice. Just 2 or 3 entrees for the health-conscious diner.

    We had a great waitress, she was very helpful choosing an Italian wine. Great personality. Enjoyed the food and variety of options. Will definitely return.

    Vespaio is our new favorite restaurant in Austin. The food is terrific, the service is excellent and the staff have all been very friendly. We also like that their pasta has half portion sizes in case you are looking to also order a secondo (meat) item. And the wine list is amazing. So many wonderful choices from all over the world, but especially for Italian and French wines.
