The food is consistently very good here. Especially like the kale salad. Tuna tartare appetizer delicious. Others dined with loved the burgers.
Great service, the food was amazing. Love the location and the ambiance. Highly recommend!
Awesome loved the food
Average food, very quiet. Too many other good places to eat
Versa has good food and good service . Great place to go before a Ranger game.
Had noted on my dinner reservation it was a special occasion with our 3 young children. We had a 3pm dinner reservation and found out when we arrived that they were only serving brunch and that dinner doesn’t start until 4pm. The restaurant was empty. We requested dinner menus from the waitress and were impolitely told no. We went to the Maitre D and explained that this was not mentioned on the website and that it was after 3pm and the restaurant was empty, could we order dinner? We were once again impolitely and in a curt manner told no. Ordered some food anyway as we had no where else to go. Food we had was great; however, they barely cleaned the table when new dishes were brought and things piled up. It’s not like they were busy.
I realize that we were requesting an exception, but the restaurant was empty. I can’t imagine it would have been a big deal to accommodate us. By the time we were done it was well after 4pm. Kids hated it as they were forced to eat brunch when they wanted dinner. We will never go back and never recommend as the staff is rude & unaccommodating.
Did I mention the restaurant was empty? I wonder why...
Great place for business lunches and get together with friends and family. Very convenient location to transit and Madison Square Garden.
Versa was incredible, top notch service, beautiful atmosphere, I will for sure visit more often!
I love this place. great vibes and an array of food options for anyone.
I can't wait for summer here. their rooftop is the best.
The place is conveniently located near NY Penn station. There is no waiting for the elevator. The place is nicely done and the service was efficient. It is a good experience, just not for the price conscious.
It was our first time visiting Versa and we loved it. The food was great and so was the service. Our waiter was amazing. She was very sweet, very attentive. We will definitely go back!
Good food and stylish space. Service was a bit slow to start but then improved. Noisy .
I made a reservation for my partner's birthday and requested a nice table. Upon arrival we were stuck on to one of the back booths and had to experience one of the rudest waitresses I have had in my life. Food was decent enough but it did not compensate the lukewarm welcome we received and the lack of service.
I've become a regular at Versa. Am usually there after work for dinner once a week with my boyfriend. Food is delicious. Great ambiance. Not far from Penn Station/Madison Square Garden. Nothing to not love about this place
Great restaurant at a great location. This is in the rooftop of The Renaissance Hotel. I will definitely return. I may try breakfast next time or Happy Hour!
Cocktails were terrible / sour. They must have had a new bartender making them or something wasn’t labeled correctly behind the bar. We ended up going elsewhere.
My team had a great experience. Staff was great and helpful
I haven’t expect much because this place is a hotel restaurant. I chose this restaurant because it is easy to access from Penn station. The bday lady came from Long Island. Their Food was ok. Calamari was good, especially calamari sauce was my favorite among all the dishes that night. Presentation of burgers were ok. I ordered the Versa stack and patties were overcooked. French fries were ok. Ambience was nice. We ordered cappuccino with churros and a cake to share and we never got the churros. Asked them and they said they would check and let us know but the person never got back to us until we left. Cappuccino was cold. Overall, it was not that horrible but just ok since I didn’t expect much.
Great for business lunches. So easy. Staff is great.
Food and service were great. I would skip dessert. Both the Apple cobbler and coconut cheesecake were not worth the calories.
Great service (the place was empty , so that helped) Food was good and came quickly. Main problem is that it's super over-priced for what you get.
We ended up sitting in the bar ancestor three more people joined us, which was fine. The problem was the service was horrible. We had to ask for someone to take our original drink order no one ever came to us to see if we needed anything. Each time we wanted to order drinks or even dinner, we had to ask someone to help us. Each time it was a different person. I’ll never go back.
We had a nice meal, but nothing particularly special. The service was a little slow. The portions were huge, and we ended up wasting quite a bit of food. And there was a big open window in the adjacent space where someone was filming live sports commentary. The lights from there were blinding.
This was a good quick stop for a small plates bite before going to a MSG event. Basic sportsbar food in a noisy but upbeat atmosphere. Best to let your party know that it's in the Renaissance Hotel and you need to go to the 5th floor to get there. Signs are technically there, but not real clear. Elevators are a bit funky and stairs are not an option. Restrooms are on the floor below. Check in and seating is slow, but table service is brisk and friendly.
It's a very easy place- and the food is very good- missing the lively area as they renovate. And they could have happy hour drinks, but a very nice comfortable place with good food
Great location, will be back for the rooftop when the weather allows!
Service, ambiance, décor, was wonderful as expected
Menu was the right size with good variety, my plate turned out meh, but overall everything else was great!
We go here every time we come to NY as it's convenient, the menu is always unique and changing and the food is delicious.
I highly recommend this restaurant!
Always love spending a night here when me and my girlfriends make the trip to New York! The food is amazing and the staff is always great! The vibes are amazing. Overall one of my favorite places in NYC!
Food was great and so was the service
Great place for business lunches! The staff is great!
The ambiance is nice and service is professional. The low mark s for the food. The three of us had a salad each and shared a plain pizza. We all agreed we had the most mediocre and distasteful salads. Further, just about any pizza joint has a better pizza than the one we had. This establishment should consider getting a new kitchen staff immediately.
Very cool spot right near Madison Square Garden. We all loved our meals and the vibe was great, will definitely be back!
Chose Versa because of the great location 2 blocks from Madison Square Garden. Had dinner there before Billy Joel concert. Restaurant is on the 5th floor of the Renaissance hotel. Listed as a rooftop restaurant, it was too cold to eat outdoors, but still it had a definite outdoorsy vibe. Interesting menu - ordered 3 apps for our group - Tuna Tatare, Cheese Pizza and Bruchetta - each one was great. Main dishes were equally good. Could use 1 or 2 more vegan options - the only one was a veggie burger but otherwise a very nice experience.
Brunch on a Sunday. I was disappointed to see 10:15 and 11:45 were the only available times to book at, before or after. When we walked in the place was empty leaving our desired 11.00 very much available. Was disappointed since we could have used those extra 45 minutes in our day and they would have easily been able to accommodate.
We had a very nice pre Rangers game dinner. The food was delish, and service attentive without being bothersome. Good value for a restaurant in this area. Highly recommend it.
The food was below average and the service was terrible. There are much better breakfast spots in NYC. Don’t bother with this.
Nice place to catch a quick business lunch. It was a very cold January day so it was a little chilly in the restaurant. Plan on visiting when the weather is warm and we can take advantage of their retractable roof. That's gotta be great.
Versa is a terrific hot spot. The rooftop space is very cool, and the food and service are excellent. It's a good choice for late night dining, as well.
