Velo
Very nice resto!
This restaurant in quality! Although you’ll spend your money for it, it’s not cheap, the food is just delicious and the menu has so many options you’ll not find anywhere else. The portions are perfect, you leave feeling satisfied and not stuffed but just...well fed! Every bite is delicious! I highly recommend Velo!
What am amazing meal! Don’t forget yo order extra sides, they were delish.
Always amazing! By far one of my favorite places in the tri-state area! The Gnocchi with the Lamb Bolognese is the best gnocchi I've ever had! I have to keep coming back!
Initially thought menu was limiting when I checked on-line but everyone was able to select what they wanted and food was excellent!
Service was attentive without being pushy and never rushed.
Our server Andrew was a great server and helped to pair our drinks with our meal just right! Food was delicious.
We always enjoy Velo, the chianti risotto is delicious!
Delicious dinner!
I'm tired of booking Restaurant Week reservations when they are not honored at the times available to choose from. Restaurant Week needs to be clear when making a reservation that certain nights or times are excluded.
Everyone was extremely nice (host, bartender, waiter). Food was great!
Great food and atmosphere. And hat tip to Dan for excellent service.
The food and wine were tasty. Unfortunately our waiter seemed to be bothered by the fact he was waiting tables. He forgot our appetizer-was unapologetic and asked rather gruffly if we still wanted it. His lack of personality and any remote enthusiasm did dampen the overall experience a bit. The restaurant was also very loud...
big disappointment! really expected more from what I had read...
First time as this restaurant and it won’t be our last. Great food, service and overall experience
The chicken and beef main courses were very good, with the perfect blend of flavors. The appetizers of pasta with sausage and cauliflower cake left a bit to be desired. Overall, a pretty decent restaurant.
You can tell the chef is on point with flavor
I am going to return
Absolutely love everything about this place. SERVICE, food, and ambiance – all are outstanding. It’s a regular go to place for us.
Service was great, the waiter was very attentive. Food was good, nothing outstanding. The wine choices were great!
Always a pleasure! Great food, drinks, ambiance. And Andrew couldn’t be nicer, so attentive, making sure everyone is well taken care of.
One of our favorite places to go.
My wife is Gluten-free and from the beginning they were very accommodating, telling us which meals could and could not be altered slightly - and still remain delicious. Among the three of us we had a pork shank, a lamb shank, and a shrimp risotto. All were exceptional and delicious. We had a fall bourbon cocktail that was perfect for the season. And unique. It was high end dining, but not overly expensive. We would certainly go back again should we find ourselves in Nyack again.
3 things- most importantly, it's a wine bar and we were served a bottle of unchilled Sancerre? When asked for pepper for a salad, we were given ordinary black pepper in a shaker, not from a mill. Thirdly, when asked to change to our table, they claimed that they had a reservation for the table by the window. No one showed. For an upscale restaurant , it was disappointing.
First time visit to Velo and it will definitely not be the last. Food and service were excellent. I particularly liked the location in the quieter part of Nyack away from the more active Main Street area. Looking forward to returning. Entire staff was right on spot.
The food was quite good with an interesting menu
Our waiter was good too. Nice wine and a pleasantly nice evening
Great fun atmosphere !
Food was average but ambiance and service was really great!
Although the food was good, I was a little disappointed in that the chef would make NO changes to any of his recipes when I told him I didn't care for one of the ingredients and asked for a substitution. Serving size was quite small and it was a very costly lunch. The decor was just okay.
Velo remains one of my absolute favorite restaurants in the area. Food is consistently fresh and delicious. The filet mignon is among the best in the area and service is fantastic.
Food is always outstanding and the service is superb!
As always, we were totally wowed by the food, wine and service. Velo is not close but worth the drive. It was my friend’s first time, and she was very pleased.
Fantastic meal with great friendly service. What a gem.
The food is always excellent and being able to order half portions of salad and pasta is the best ever! We consider Velo one of the top restaurants not only just in Nyack but in NY!
We are regulars at Velo. The food is outstanding, the staff friendly, service excellent.
Fantastic experience overall! I love this restaurant. Everything is made fresh in-house and the service is spectacular. Andrew is the best waiter I’ve ever had. All-around my favorite restaurant in Nyack.
The wait staff was very nice and attentive. The food was fantastic!
Food & service was excellent. My "glass" of Pinot Noir was outstanding. Can't remember the name of it, but it was excellent.
The food was amazing. We both had the salmon special with farro and were so glad that we did. The special beet salad was outstanding. The service was great and we appreciated that the server didn’t overfill our wine glasses. The restaurant is small so there can be a lot of noise. But the small size and intimacy and international dishes lend to its charm.
unimaginative and overpriced, portions too big, decent wine list
Food was exceptional. A cauliflower sformato (soufflé) dressed with with crispy endive followed by stuffed boneless quail in an excellent reduction. The restaurant has always been good, but this was at another level.
Excellent all around! So glad I chose Velo to celebrate a special occasion. Everything from the food to the service was impeccable.
Always a pleasure. Food is consistently good. Great staff.
Service was very good. Food was above average but I expected more. My wife ordered a medium rare steak, it came to the table medium to medium well. I had the short ribs and they were on the dry side with little flavor. The appetizers were better than the entrees (fried oysters, meatballs, and risotto). Give it a try but I don’t see myself going back.
