Went to brunch with my parents and my Fiancée on Sunday. Delicious food, pancakes and fried chicken were incredible, and lovely drinks. Just a little slow to start service but overall great experience and definitely going to return for brunch soon!

First time at Union kitchen and was very dissatisfied. I booked a reservation for my husband and I to get brunch on a Sunday. Very excited because their food looked great online and we love to brunch! Ha. The hostess was really nice and seated us at a booth instead of a hight top, which I booked initially. Very comfortable, everything looked clean and spaced well. The server we had was a guy that seemed like it was his first day. He sat us down, gave us water and took our order. That was it. We were hoping that he’d come back so we could order drinks but never did. He eventually came back around after I flagged him down for some more water. The kitchen staff delivered our food, thankfully, which was amazing and would of came back for that. Unfortunately, our waiter sucked and left us never wanting to go back. He was just chatting to the busboy, trotting around like he was busy...but wasn’t. Seemed like he didn’t want to do his job, try to upsell our table or make contact at all.

The "short rib" was very extremely fatty. The "side salad" was massive, I basically had a salad with a side of tacos. The tomatoes in the salad were not fresh. The app was spinach and cheese dip, the spinach tasted fresh from the freezer. The bartender/waitress wasn't very attentive, seemed like she didn't want to be there. The best things were the beer from on tap and the tortilla chips.

Great experience! Wonderful food and exceptional service. Visiting my daughter in the area and we were happy to find an open reservation on a busy Friday night. We were late but they happily accommodated us. All of the food we had was excellent (calamari, lettuce wraps, rigatoni, chopped salad, fried brussels) and saw many delicious plates as I walked through the dining room. Felt as if they took covid safety very seriously. Outdoor dining was really comfortable.

Overall it was a favorable dining experience. Probably wouldn’t return ...why pay for parking when there are other restaurants that are as good in other towns that offer free parking.

Ate outside. Friendly and knowledgeable server. Never felt rushed. Was an early lunch. Fish n Chips excellent. Some of the best French fries I’ve ever had. Highly recommend this restaurant.

We had the best time at Union Kitchen. Our server Pawel did an amazing job! He was very attentive and thoughtful. We had reserved an outside table, which many restaurants these days are not doing, so that was a big plus. Pawel checked on us often and even offered to roll an outside heater near us if we wanted one. He thought of everything.
Of course the food was delicious and beautifully presented. We will certainly be back...Union Kitchen really knows how to make customers happy!

This restaurant was very nice. The food was great! We each had a couple appetizers and 2 drinks each. Yummy. The staff were also friendly which was a plus.

Sunday brunch....choose the UK Benedict. Portion of Pork Belly was incredibly small...IMHO. Suggest you raise the price and offer a greater quantity.

All three courses were disappointing. Butter lettuce instead of Romaine was used for my Lettuce Chicken Wraps, so they would not hold together firmly and fell apart. My pork chop should have been brined first--it was hard, dry, and tough. For dessert, my Olive Oil Orange cake tasted of neither Olive Oil nor Orange--but it DID taste bad! My server very kindly offered to replace it. I asked for the Apple Pound Cake. THAT turned out to be nothing like a pound cake--it was a stale, hard, heavy slab that I abandoned after a few bites. And for this dinner I was charged somewhere in the neighborhood of $60. I should add that my dining companion had no complaints. But for me, every course crashed and burned.

Our server was helpful and the food was "good", but not great. I tried the "Wurst" menu and the spaetzle and red cabbage were very tasty...however the pork schnitzel was not what I would call schnitzel at all. It was more of a pork chop pounded out (not even that thin) and pan fried, but again, not very well. It was burnt in parts and not even breaded properly. The 'schnitzel' did not even come with a traditional creamy dill sauce, or lemons...or anything. I also think the red cabbage tasted so good, because it had a lot of sugar in the recipe. I hope that before the Wurst House opens, they figure out how to prepare schnitzel! The rest of the meal was OK as well, we had chicken lettuce wraps and the mushroom gnocchi. Nothing to write home about, but happy to get out for a meal during these crazy times.

Great restaurant, good modern American food. We started with drinks and then some very tasty, delicate dumplings with a tangy soy ginger sauce. Entrees were sea bass with fried rice and short ribs with orechiette pasta and cheese (Mac and cheese, really) and spinach. Both were regular menu items that are always well prepared and delicious. They also had an Oktoberfest menu but we went to an Oktoberfest dinner last week and I was red cabbaged out. Finish was a nice fruit cobbler. And coffee of course. We ate outside as is our custom in these pandemic times. It was nice, West Hartford center has a nice New York vibe on Saturday nights. Great restaurant, highly recommend!

Food was excellent, came out hot and all at once. The only negative was that there is live music during the dinner hour and it it LOUD. The musician was just acoustic too. He was good but the volume was ridiculous. Also the musician had some friends in the bar area who kept whistling with two fingers after every song, which made things even more loud and annoying. Tough to talk over. I wouldn’t go back for this reason alone. Otherwise, the place is really nice and the food was great.

The outdoor seating and service was great. They were very accommodating with our reservation. Started out with reservation for 2, then went to 5, and upon arrival it was 4. The fish & chips meal was excellent, but the Korean Fried Chicken (KFC) was just so-so according to 2 others in my party that had it. Service was good and friendly, wines were affordable.

Everything about this place is fantastic; it’s worth every penny! Between the specials and what’s listed on the menu, I have yet to try something bad. This place is definitely becoming a regular spot for me. The service staff is also great! Specifically our sever, Alicia, is the best! I highly recommend this place!

This was my first time at Union Kitchen, and my party and I were delighted with everything served. The reception and wait staff are professional and attentive. The selection of food was impressive, including a "Polish popup." (They feature several national popups, depending on the week.) Food was decision (short ribts, dumplings, chowder, Brussels sprouts, etc.). Highly recommended.

I really, really wanted to enjoy my experience at Union Kitchen, but real inconsistencies with the food made that impossible.

There were two redeeming aspects to our dining experience at Union Kitchen: 1) the restaurant has done a great job setting up an extended comfortable, outdoor dining area given the requirement of social distancing. 2) the service (lovely woman who acted as bartender and server) was really great, and this was surprising since we knew that 2 of their servers had called out sick and they were short staffed.

The food, for the most part, was disappointing. The good - the brussel sprouts appetizer. They were slightly sweet from maple, well seasoned and perfectly cooked.
The tuscan shrimp entree was very good as well - flavorful, right-portioned and cooked well. And the bread pudding with rum sauce was excellent. However the other items, really weren't good and all were left unfinished. We were looking forward to the cornbread and honey butter app, but the cornbread wasn't warm and it was overly dry. The warm spinach and goat cheese salad came with Parmesan, not goat cheese and, as such, really didn't cut it. And finally, the Chicken Milanese entree was overcooked and very dry. We also had the berry crumble for dessert and we found that someone had been really heavy handed with a spice that left it off-putting. We each had one bite of that, and that was enough.

Maybe it was an off-night for the kitchen, but we only found 50% of the food to be worthwhile and that's just not good enough for us to return or recommend.

Regular WeHa center diners, but first time at Union Kitchen. Good selection of meat/fish/non-meat dishes...quality is on-par with other nearby good restaurants. Very nice decor...comfortable granite/wood/brass style (which is nice since everyone else seems to be going for that industrial upscale modern theme).

Service was good, although the food came too fast and the drinks came too slow. I understand they are doing seating in 90 minute increments, but two of us had 2 rounds on drinks, apps and a main course and were paid and done in less than an hour (on a Friday evening).

Overall very nice and we will add to our repertoire of WeHa center restaurants.

Steak was horrible, fatty and very tough with cartilage. Shrimp dumplings were ok, and clam chowder was awful. Best thing was the egg on the Steak and the mac and cheese. Not nearly worth the money. Better off going to Windsor Steak if you're gonna spend that kind of money
