Awesome. Food was amazing
Had a great last meal before quarantine! The spicy fried cauliflower was delicious as were the complimentary biscuits! I got a breakfast combo which was a great deal, and I especially recommend the sweet potato pancakes. The lavender limeade fizz was also a refreshing and non-alcoholic alternative to a mimosa. Our server was pleasant and very clean given the health situation, I'm glad we could provide some business at this time. Will be returning, particularly for happy hour deals!
I appreciate the manager accommodating my seating needs without missing a beat. AND we had THE BEST SERVER EVER! Shay was absolutely a pleasure to have serve us. I was so impressed I remembered her name, that's how excellent she was! We'll be asking for her again when we come back. Tupelo is one of our new favorite places.
The service was wonderful. Food was delicious--chicken, fried green tomatoes, carrots/cauliflower, etc. Great atmosphere.
Biscuits and jam are amazing! The menu had a variety of different combinations. I was surprised by our service. We had to ask her for many things that should have just been on our table. If we are in the area we would try again.
Excellent service and tasty food! The hostess and employees were very friendly.
We were here for brunch. We both had the combo 3 items for $11. Their sweet potato pancakes are outstanding, as are the bacon and eggs. Biscuit with homemade blueberry compote. This place is wonderful. Nicely decorated too.
Food and drinks were quite good but the service was slow
Service is always poor at TH. Reservation was made with Open Table and I requested a booth but was given a table at the front door by the host. Lots of booths available as were other tables.
After being sat at our table, and waiting 15-20 minutes with no waiter, I got up and asked the hostess if she would ask someone to wait on us. 15-20 minutes later our drinks arrived and another 15-20 minutes the $35 special for 4 arrived. 2 wings with nothing but breading, 2 thighs and 2 breasts. Very little meat. The mashed potatoes, Brussel Sprouts and salad were ok. I suppose for $35 you get what you pay for.
Service was great! My server was Alexis and she was pleasant, very knowledgeable about the menu items and kept us informed when she felt like we had been waiting for awhile. Food was delivered cold but Alexis returned cold plateand had fresh food brought back to the table. Manager and other staff were very lively and fun as they passed our table. I'll be back again ;)
The food was excellent. Service was also very good. The only complaint is that the noise level is much too high. Otherwise myself and my guests enjoyed it very much and will most likely come back again. Thank you.
First of all had to wait 10 minutes and then get up to go ask someone to serve us water and drinks.
Grilled oysters: bland,
fried green tomatoes and grits: MEH,
fried pickles: yummy.
Cocktail, fancy lemon drop:good.
Sweet potato pancakes: yummy, fried chicken on top: very dry ruined the dish.
Beef ribs: over cooked and sauce slapped on top to cover.
Pork shoulder too spicy or not good spicy, even for guest who enjoys spicy
They phone in their southern cooking. Not consistent. No care at all or commitment to the ingredients the seem to take care to procure.
Really wanted to like this place. Will never go back.
The restaurant was severely understaffed. Despite making a reservation, we waited nearly thirty minutes past our reservation time. The service was very slow because there simply were not enough servers and were observed how slowly tables were turned over due to lingering guests and the hostesses serving as busters. Our food was room temperature, which was also a disappointment. We live in Arlington and we’re really looking forward to finally making it to Tupelo Honey, but it was a lackluster experience overall.
Went for Sunday brunch with out of town friends. Great ambience and lighting. Food and drinks were delicious! Would go again
Server seemed to forget about us after the food was served
The biscuits are incredible and if you add the honey you are in for a real treat!
Service was nice but slow.
Tupelo Honey is always an awesome experience. The food and service never disappoint.
Amazing food. Great waiter. Would definitely recommend to a friend!
Food has gone downhill here.
I have been here several times. The food seems to not be as high a quality as when it first opened. However it was still pretty good. My biggest issue was that I had been sick earlier in the week so sharing with my dinner partner was not an option. The food runner dropped the wrong food and I told her I had the catfish. I got the trout and started eating it. I did not realize I had the wrong dish until I tasted the potatoes and realized they were not the grits. We told our server and she brought a fresh side of potatoes. My dinner partner was a little embarrassed and just wanted to swap plates. The server let us swap but what she should have done since I had started eating the trout was to remove both plates no questions asked and bring us new dishes so that germs would be be spread. Also a discount would have been nice to be offered but it was not. I know you guys are there to make money but this really was disappointing because I told the food runner what I had ordered and she asked who had what. I always bring my out of town visitors here but not sure I will continue to do so.
Food was amazing. Service was slow, was served a dirty coffee glass and a dirty silverware set. Food and drinks are a little pricey (I.e. $5 for a side of cheese grits) but overall it was a good spot for breakfast/brunch. Would not recommend if you wanted to drink a lot, because the mimosas are $9 for a regular and $13 for a larger one, which will get pricey if you’re looking to catch a buzz.
Let's see. Where do I start. Food was absolutely delicious. Love the variations on the menu. Went for brunch on Sunday. Glad I made a reservation. Chef came over to the table a couple times after waitress told him it was our first time there. Nice touch! Will definitely be back. Pricing was very reasonable. We ordered a little of everything and it was all good!
The food was fresh and delicious. My friend and I both ordered the 3 for $11 breakfast platters and enjoyed everything we had on our plates. However, the service was seriously lacking, as we were left to sit at the table for about ten minutes before the server came around to take our order. This was around 3 PM on a Saturday when the place was not very busy.
Waiter was new and did not know menu very well. He also proved inattentive as the visit wore on. Reservation was for 1:00 PM, but we were seated closer to 1:25. That is unacceptable. It was uncomfortably loud near the front of the restaurant, but I'll give that a pass. Manager checked on us an another waiter provided more coffee and water near the end of the meal so teamwork was good. The large booth was perfect, as was all of the food, especially the biscuits! Love this restaurant, but they sometimes struggle when the place is really busy.
Okra was hard...grits runny, white sauce with everything which is not a southern thing, but tasty chicken and overall worth a visit...not typically southern, but enjoyable
The food here was awful. We have been to Tupelo Honey in Greenville SC and absolutely loved it. We were extremely disappointed with everything our party of 7 ate. The food was cold and extremely bland and flavorless. The shrimp and grits were AWFUL. I highly recommend finding somewhere else to eat.
I loved the food here! This is the second time I have come and it's always super busy, a reservation is definitely recommended so you do not have to wait long. I loved the food but since the place is so busy the service is not the best, it's not bad but nothing special.
