Special occasion to see a very dear friend! We had such a lovely time and stayed until the restaurant was practically cleared. We were graciously greeted and promptly seated in a wonderful location. Our server was so accommodating and made some fantastic recommendations. Can not wait to return to my favorite ginger drink and try more dishes. Love this place!

True Food has AMAZING food! The edamame dumplings were outstanding as well as the ancient grains bowl. The food is a little pricey for the portion sizes, but I really enjoyed the patio seating, friendly service and healthy meals made delicious.

I have been wanting to go here based upon they take your special diet needs into consideration. They have it clearly marked and if you wanted another dish and if it can be modified they would do so. Love the atmosphere.

I had the turkey burger and it was very dry. The accompanying sweet potatoes fries were cold and mushy.

The restaurant is too loud. The portions are inconsistent. Even mentioned it to our waitress who confirmed that we were correct that are teriyaki bowl and our kale salad we’re both very small portions compared to normal.

Way way WAAAAY too noisy yesterday. I was having a business lunch , sitting at a small table, and we had to speak loudly just to hear each other. Even the person with whom I was dining said she felt like she had to yell to be heard. The food - well - truthfully- my dish that I Love and have had many times here - is just not as good. If this keeps up ( noise level and lower food quality/taste) this restaurant will fall off of my favorite restaurants list. I'll go elsewhere.

Went with a group of friends for a weeknight dinner in late May. The air conditioning wasn't working and it was incredibly hot in the restaurant, no fans, no relief. I had fish tacos which are sometimes spicy but these were way too spicy to enjoy. Service was excellent and menu was diverse and reasonably priced.

True is usually fantastic every time. Unfortunately this visit, the A/C was not working properly and it was a bit sweaty in the restaurant. But we will be back! Love the food and service and I’m sure the A/C will get fixed.

Worst service in town. This used to be one of our favorites. last time we went it was so bad the manager gave us gift cards to make up for the awful service. Tried it again this week still awful. Sat for 1 hr before we got our food. Sad because the food is good. But there are a lot of good restaurants in Dallas.

Food and service was great; only issue is that it gets quite crowded and becomes hard to hear the person sitting across from you. But that is a good problem!

The food and service were very good. Two vegans and one carnivore had plenty to choose from. Would have liked a vegan entree but there was still lots to pick from. The kitchen service was poor. Mixed up dish, wine and had to send back dessert. The server caught the wine, but not the dish and dessert. The dessert would not have been possible to detect. Management was very apologetic. I’d definitely go back. No question.

If you want healthier options that taste great, this is your spot. The grapefruit basil martini is a must. Asparagus with lemon almond ricotta appetizer is fresh and yummy. The chop salad was my favorite. I finished every last bite! We also had satay, squash lasagna, and beef tacos. All were flavorful and filling. Service is great; not overly fussy. The space is beautiful with the open kitchen and outdoor areas.

This time service was very disappointing, waiter disappeared fr long periods of time and most of our food arrived cold. It’s not usually like this, we always come to TFK. Hope it’s better next time

I love the concept of the restaurant, but my friends and I were underwhelmed with our meals. Specifically, the “kids” meal we got for my son (almond butter sandwich) was not kid friendly at all - it was adult-sized and difficult for a toddler to handle on his own, with huge apple slices inside the sandwich and a side of huge carrot sticks (like, full on carrots that had not been sliced in any way) Anyway, I was bummed because my expectations were high. Personally, I much prefer Modern Market or Flower Child over this restaurant. Similar concepts, but much better execution.

Great service at the door and table. Solid menu options with flexibility offered to meet the palette. Solid turkey sandwich, enhanced by its well-dressed status. Good poke bowl, but don’t looking for wasabi.

I had a group of six people with different culinary tastes and everyone thought it was delicious. I am gluten-free and vegan and I really appreciate all the options. The restaurant is so popular that it can be noisy but we still had a very good time.

Don’t pass up on a chance to visit True Food Kitchen. Who knew eating healthy could be so tasty! 😋 We sat on the patio which is quite nice and enjoyed a signature cocktail 🍹 before our meal. Both the chopped salad 🥗 and seasonal cauliflower polenta bowl were fabulous. Our server was very knowledgeable and helpful. No doubt we’ll be back!

We had a fabulous brunch on the patio for Mother's Day. The GM, Karl, came by our table and chatted with us. The servers were all very friendly and one of them even stopped what they were doing to take a photo of us. The food and mom-osas were delicious! Even with a busy mother's day, they did not miss a beat.

Love this place. I want to eat everything! My family took me here for Mother's Day...the one time they agree to go to a place where mom will truly enjoy the food. But they (my husband and kids) gave me a terrible time b/c they could not find anything on the menu that they would eat, and it was painful to give in to letting them have a plain cheese pizza (the kids eat this all the time at school, at birthday parties, at home when we are crushed for time, so when we are out to eat I don't allow it). But they complained and gave me a hard time b/c they could not find anything else to order. Made me feel like a terrible mom b/c I raised kids who could not order a dish with vegetables cooked into it, and my husband took their side. So I gave in. Ugh! My suggestion: offer a few plain dishes for the culinarily challenged guests who are there just to be company for someone who is there who loves the food. Examples: grilled cheese with a side of tomato basil soup (no chunks), choose-your-own grain bowl with choose-your-own ingredients (rice/quinoa/farro with choice of protein and choice of sides), plain ol' fresh squeezed lemonade or OJ, etc. I talked with another mom who had a similar experience (we both have 3 boys...maybe that says something!). We decided we will never bring our families again, and next time will go with just like-minded girlfriends!
