Fun with a band. Food & drinks good. Great service!
Food is always good here. Made reservations online, which they didn’t have. Had to wait 15 mins for tables to be put together. Food took 40 minutes to arrive after ordering. We were one of only three parties there.
We waited over an hour and cold apps and food came out together on a non game day. Manager was very nice but would have a hard time going back
What would make it better is parking Valet parking. Parking way far away in 100 degrees in not good for elderly. They hotel took pity and let us valet there anyway buy probably not a second time That would have made it better. But the food was delicious service was good. It could have been better with a little more friendliness.
Excellent service from wait staff and answered all our questions concerning our first time visit to Texas Live and Troy’s. Delicious food! Will come back and particularly game day. Good concept for the traveler, tourist, or avid sports fan.
The initial service was very good, however as the place filled with more guests we had to ask several times for water refills, and when our main entries were delivered the server had never attempted clearing appetizer plates or used service ware. Maybe a training issue or just short staff.
It was underwhelming food and service. More like Bernie Kosar’s than Troy Aikman’s
I would recommend Troy's to a friend only because the food was good (I got the hot wings), and the ambiance of being half indoor/outdoor, and general vibe on game-day (and even not on game-day) is great. Service was not good. I had to flag down our initial hostess to see if any waiters were working our area as we could not get any service at the start. A person at our table ordered a salad which had to be sent back. Waitress was very nice, but looked to be the only waitress working that afternoon, which led to delays.
went there on sunday afternoon. had a 1 30 pm reservation. arrived with 3 others 5 minutes ahead of reservation time. Was told that we would have to wait 20 to 25 minutes outside of our appointed time because of minimal staffing. Also, there were 2 other groups waiting to be seated when we arrived who did not have reservations. The host told us that they would be seated first irregardless of whether we had a reservation or not. My wife asked to speak to manager. She arrived about 5 minutes later. Manager seated us first after listening to our concerns. We ordered right away but food did not arrive until 20 minutes later. Food was decent, not great. Also, there were numerous tables with dirty dishes and food from previous patrons that were there before we arrived as well as when we left. We expected good customer service and a super clean environment but was disappointed the whole time we were there.
Our table of nine ordered burgers and every single burger was sent back or complained about due to mess-ups. Took two hours for our food to arrive and when they did it was all incorrect. Would not recommend.
I love the sweet potato fries. The hamburgers are awesome. Great place to take the family for lunch or dinner.
Amazing place, great service and the food was delicious...better yet the prices were very reasonable...
We were seated promptly when we arrived. The restaurant was nice and the table was clean. The food was decent but slightly overpriced. We enjoyed the time we spent there.
We enjoyed drinks, music and hamburgers for my daughters graduation. We would highly recommend this place for the food and atmosphere.
Great to visit once but $15 for a burger that was ok but not great, $5 for side of tater tots, and drink for over $20 plus tax and tip was a high price to pay for the atmosphere of Texas Live. Fun to eat there once but not a placed I will make a return visit to eat again.
The service was good, but the volume level of the band made it impossible to conversate. Food was ok.
Only consider for a night out with beer and a burger. Limited menu, slow - yet good - service, noisy no matter the day due to sports on TV or live music. Sponsored by Miller so don’t ask for a Bud. Definitely a game day place only. Don’t make a special trip.
Everything was great, but I have one issue: I was trying to organize a group to come to the restaurant, but calling involves a phone tree, and leaving a message (which was never returned). In other words, for anything special, it's oddly difficult to reach an actual person. It's fine to just head over there informally, but for organized events, it presented a challenge.
Party of four, made reservations for 7pm on a Friday night. Upon arrival, place was nearly empty, so we laughed about the reservations. Were seated promptly, and our servers arrived within 5 minutes. We ordered drinks, and didn't order food until about 7:25pm. Menu is fairly simple...burgers and some other simple dishes, nothing complicated. Ordered two burger meals (split between us), and the food didn't arrive until after 8pm. The burgers were supposed to 1/2 pounders, no way. Meanwhile, the moderate crowd did arrive indoor and outdoors for live music at 8pm. The music wasn't my taste and thought it was more loud than good, but my opinion. I'm not sure the blame lies with the waiters or someplace behind the kitchen walls, but was very disappointed with everything. We were comped our meals, paid for the drinks...never got an explanation as why it took so long to get our meal to us. I'm wondering now why this is why there was no crowd there on a Friday night when everyplace else was packed.
Great Burgers! Wile I usually get regular fries, I always look forward to Troy’s sweet potato fries. My grandkids loved their meals too! The crowd was reasonable, not rowdy, and Troy’s place is the perfect size for a family dinner, I’m sure you’ll love. Ample seating, and best of all you can make reservations! Troy’s got booths for comfy seating, tables and chairs, or you can sit right down at the sports bar. I have traveled the world and Troy’s got the best burgers in the world!!
Our reservation was lost, but they had space for our group. Went for lunch so they were not really busy, but the service was terrible. 2 hours for lunch during the week and the wait staff only came over maybe 5 times. I will not be going back.
I came to Troy's for my Birthday . I enjoyed the atmosphere it was a game night . Dallas played against the Saints of course we won which was a bonus. I really enjoyed the Bee Sting Wings they where awesome and the drink were on point as well.
We have returned to Troy's for 3 consecutive home games for the Dallas Cowboys. The food has always been good. The drinks are good as well. Each time has been an experience. Being that the visits have been on game days - the noise level is very loud. Unless you are outside, there is no conversation to have with your group. Service has been slow for food if you can find a seat. With a reservation on this visit, we were seated after some confusion with the host staff. Once they located our reservation we were seated and it took 20 minutes to get our taken. 20 minutes to get drinks delivered and another 10 after that the food showed up. So for a reservation we had well in advance - we were there almost an hour in our seat before anything arrived. Luckily the live music was fun for the atmosphere. Just extremely loud. Go early, plan for it to take a while, and prepare to be in a lot of noise. For a game day - not a bad option.
We had a great time at Troy's. We were seated promptly as we had reservations. The squeezebox band was lively, not my genre of music but it was good to see the live band and how they interacted with the customer. We had a very good waitress in Amber. She went over the menu like a boss. She was very attentive to our table. Definitely going back.
The burgers were nothing special for the price. Plus there needs to be a bit more variety or selection on the menu. The specialty margarita was good, but small for the price. Venue was cool.
Overall the place was very nice and the price reasonable. The sweet potato fries could've been cooked a little longer. The hot pretzel appetizer wasn't hot or even warm. The food was average at best. Very surprised but glad we were able to visit for ourselves.
Great atmosphere but make sure to check out the entire venue before picking just one place. Many different options available to loud and crazy to quieter and sitting back to people watch. Food is fair. We expected different but will come back and try something different next time.
Service ok. Server mixed up beer selection. Burgers over cooked. Good atmosphere. Private event seemed to take away from execution
They serve frozen food wings and french fries that are so horrible that you can't finish them. I cannot believe Troy would stamp his name on this place. Do not waste your time and go here. Awful food.
My brother in law and I went to Troy’s for the first time last night, as we are in town celebrating his 50th birthday. We had a great time. Our server — Mollie — was attentive and engaging. A singing duo started to play around 8:30, and they were quite good. As for the food, we shared an order of the buffalo wings. He had the bacon and caramelized onion burger, and I had the Frito pie burger. I had the churros doughnuts for dessert. The food was excellent and reasonably priced. The libations were great also. I will definitely go back on future trips.
Thought this would be a fun stop after our stadium tour-I was wrong. Servers were inattentive and seemed bothered by our presence. They were more concerned with chatting amongst themselves and taking selfies behind the bar. Food was fine but was really marred by the experience. Will not return.
Tuna burger was overlooked, wait staff was friendly.
Casual lunch for work. Although the restaurant wasn’t crowded our food took almost 40 minutes to arrive. One of my coworkers buns was cold when the food finally arrived. I’m sure this would be great for a game day, but we were all left disappointed in the time of service. For the price it could have been a lot better. Especially when the restaurant wasn’t even half full at the time.
Fun place to watch the Cowboys
Server was very unfriendly, burgers was bland in taste, my husband's turkey burger was undercooked, atmosphere is good, music very loud.
Food was not good . Frys were sent back twice both sweet potatoe and regular cauliflower bites were raw and too hot.burgeres were boring. Wait staff was great. Nice venue. You would think with all of the money invested they would have paid attention to the food. I know I own a restaurant.
Food wasn’t very good. I would not recommend it for a place to go and eat. Although the traffic was light, it is designed more for a party atmosphere than a place for good food.
Great new venue. Went there for lunch. We had reservations and got seated immediately. Good menu. Ordered tuna burger. Took a really long time to get our food....well over 30 minutes. We all had burgers or sandwiches with fries. All 4 orders of fries were cold. The waitress brought us all another order. The burgers were good. A bit over priced for a burger. I think once the kitchen works out the kinks, it will be a great place to watch a game. Nice to have something new in town.
Fairly limited menu. Burgers were good.
