Trattoria Emilia is an authentic Italian restaurant focusing on seasonal produce and fresh pasta. Head chefs Francesco Rota and Luca Flammia hail from Modena in Emilia Romagna.

At Trattoria Emilia we seasonally change the menu and source a large majority of our produce from regional Victoria, our meat is organic and sustainably grown in Tasmania and Victoria and we import some of the best Italian DOC products. Some dishes that are not to be missed are our Tortelloni Emiliani and the crowd favourite salumi misti with gnocco fritto and tigelle served with mortadella mousse.

Rustic, yet refined, Trattoria Emilia boasts fantastic ambience, attentive and professional service whilst all the while remaining a great casual dining spot perfect for a quick lunch, a long relaxing dinner with friends and has always been a romantic date spot.

I you are wanting a quick meal of one or two courses, the à la carte menu is only available for lunch or early dinner reservations (starting from 5:00 - 5:30 pm with a 1.5-hour sitting time).     I went with my wife for our anniversary lunch and the food was amazing. We are from Veneto but we always go in Emilia Romagna for the great food , culture and history every time we go to Italy. The service was good and also the Lambrusco wine.. I didn't know I could find it here in Australia. Dovete provare. (You have to try)

    Had the set menu great selection of plates from a parmesan mouse to start the ravioli was fabulous as well as beef cheek we had wine by the glass a pinot grigio which was very light and fresh and a Nebbiolo which was full bodied and very delicious we have dined here a few times always great. it's a small cozy restaurant so always book.

    Unique and fabulous Italian food. Both the food and wine are interesting and quite delicious. Typically we share several entrees and mains (not everyone does that) and that gives great coverage of the menu. And every dish delights. I have taken a lot of clients and friends to Emilia. Everyone says the same thing ... 'how long has this place been hiding here ... it is stunning'. And it is. The down side of this review? I don't really want to make Emilia any more popular! Chris
