Trattoria Emilia is an authentic Italian restaurant focusing on seasonal produce and fresh pasta. Head chefs Francesco Rota and Luca Flammia hail from Modena in Emilia Romagna.

At Trattoria Emilia we seasonally change the menu and source a large majority of our produce from regional Victoria, our meat is organic and sustainably grown in Tasmania and Victoria and we import some of the best Italian DOC products. Some dishes that are not to be missed are our Tortelloni Emiliani and the crowd favourite salumi misti with gnocco fritto and tigelle served with mortadella mousse.

Rustic, yet refined, Trattoria Emilia boasts fantastic ambience, attentive and professional service whilst all the while remaining a great casual dining spot perfect for a quick lunch, a long relaxing dinner with friends and has always been a romantic date spot.

I you are wanting a quick meal of one or two courses, the à la carte menu is only available for lunch or early dinner reservations (starting from 5:00 - 5:30 pm with a 1.5-hour sitting time). Noisy but great atmosphere. Friendly staff. Food was very good but I think it is overpriced. A plate of pasta was $39. Will try again but do set menu which is better value.

Wonderful food experience - amazing food and staff are outstanding. Gnocco fitto was a highlight and perfect pasta. We’ll happily come back.

We absolutely loved our lunch at Trattoria Emilia for my Mum’s 65th birthday. The food was incredible, the flavours 100% on point and authentic, the staff knowledgeable, friendly and accommodating. Would recommend this for anyone looking for genuine Italian food in the heart of Melbourne. The restaurant also had great options for my kids, and were very accommodating for my kids. Loved it! We will be back!

We were attended by service staff Greta, whom we found knowledgeable and accepted her recommendation. Thoroughly enjoyed our meal and appreciate her periodical enquiry on our needs without being intrusive.

Il cibo è autentico, preparato con ingredienti freschissimi e pieno di sapori che ti trasportano direttamente in Emilia-Romagna. Il servizio è impeccabile: il personale è cordiale, attento e sempre pronto a consigliarti il piatto perfetto. L’atmosfera è accogliente e curata nei minimi dettagli, ideale per una cena romantica o una serata tra amici. Ogni piatto, dalla pasta fatta in casa ai dolci, è una dimostrazione di passione e maestria culinaria. Non vedo l’ora di tornare. Assolutamente consigliato!
