Trattoria Emilia is an authentic Italian restaurant focusing on seasonal produce and fresh pasta. Head chefs Francesco Rota and Luca Flammia hail from Modena in Emilia Romagna.

At Trattoria Emilia we seasonally change the menu and source a large majority of our produce from regional Victoria, our meat is organic and sustainably grown in Tasmania and Victoria and we import some of the best Italian DOC products. Some dishes that are not to be missed are our Tortelloni Emiliani and the crowd favourite salumi misti with gnocco fritto and tigelle served with mortadella mousse.

Rustic, yet refined, Trattoria Emilia boasts fantastic ambience, attentive and professional service whilst all the while remaining a great casual dining spot perfect for a quick lunch, a long relaxing dinner with friends and has always been a romantic date spot.

I you are wanting a quick meal of one or two courses, the à la carte menu is only available for lunch or early dinner reservations (starting from 5:00 - 5:30 pm with a 1.5-hour sitting time). The ambiance was cozy, and the menu offered an authentic selection of Italian dishes, all made with the freshest ingredients, and a specific focus on the regione of Emilia Romagna. What truly set the evening apart was the impeccable service provided by Leonardo, servizio 5 stelle con un sorriso! He was incredibly attentive, knowledgeable about the menu, and took the time to explain the origins of some dishes, making us feel even more connected to the food. His recommendations were spot on, and he went above and beyond to ensure we had a memorable dining experience. Leonardo's genuine passion for hospitality shone through in every interaction, and his friendly, professional demeanor made the evening even more enjoyable. I highly recommend Trattoria Emilia for anyone looking for authentic Italian cuisine, coupled with top-tier service. We will definitely be back!

    Food was delicious and the restaurant were happy to split the mains over two plates so my partner and I could share. However, the maître d and wait staff could have been friendlier and more welcoming.

    The restaurant was fabulous - such an authentic Italian experience , we felt like we were in Rome -amazing food and terrific value for money - our waiter was exceptional in service , knowledge and professionalism , this is a hidden gem in Melbourne The only sour note is how difficult it is to get in to leave a positive review - two verification codes and an email conformation - it is too hard I felt like giving up after the first code but loved the restaurant that much i wanted to support them - bad one table good worm restaurant - it’s awesome , give it a go
