The menu focuses on northern Italian specialties such as the steak Florentine, double veal chop, seafood specialties of the Mediterranean, and unforgettable desserts.
Service seemed rushed, like they were trying to get us out as soon as possible
Excellent food and service. Will return on my next visit to NYC.
My only complaint is one I have with most restaurants the waiters should never remove a plate from the table till everyone is finished eating. This happens everywhere including yesterday .
That said the food and service were terrific.
It was a Sunday for brunch we were the only ones in the restaurant maybe one other group and the service was less than stellar.
the food we had a frittata that was dry and tasteless really disappointed.
I’ve been to this restaurant many times and had parties here and I was totally disappointed with everything.
I will try again but hopefully they’ll be on point.
We arrived at the restaurant early for our reservation and although it was very busy, we were promptly seated at a quiet corner booth as we had requested. After ordering drinks, and looking at the menu, the power went out! It turned out that we were in the NYC blackout! Our waiter and the staff could not have been friendlier and accommodating. We were offered two wonderful antipasto platters and then dessert. And, because the credit card machines were out, they would not charge us. This could have been a very negative experience. The staff rose to the circumstances and were beyond friendly and helpful. It made for adventure for us and we can’t wait to return to dine under more normal conditions!
Stellar experience, as usual. They know how to treat their customers in addition to serving the best Italian food in Manhattan!
Total experience was excellent on all levels! Food and service is spectacular! We had just paid the bill when the power went out in the restaurant and all the west side of Manhatten. #NYC Blackout
Our Broadway show was cancelled but we at least had a great meal before the blackout.
Excellent service and good food.
Portions are not shareable.
We had a great time.
Service was outstanding-the staff made us feel welcome as soon as we walked in the door. Noise level was high which is why I marked down for ambiance.
My husband and I celebrated our 40th anniversary here and had the most wonderful experience. Service was attentive from the moment we arrived and they made our arrival very special. Food was outstanding from the salad course to the homemade tiramisu (that arrived with a sparkler to note our anniversary). We’re not even New Yorkers yet we felt a part of this welcoming community. We’ll remember this special experience for a very long time.
As usual, the Nicoise Salad was fresh and refreshing, waiter was just right.
Our favorite NYC restaurant. Dine here every visit to the city.
We were not sure if this place would live up to its reputation. It absolutely did. The welcome was warm the service was perfect and we all thoroughly enjoyed the food.
Espresso Martinis rounded off a delicious evening
This is one of my all time favorite restaurants in NY. Always consistent, fresh pasta, fish, specials, the service is great and we love the Antipasto Bar!
Great meal. Outstanding service
The atmosphere was amazing! Energetic but not overbearing. I had the 101 layer lasagna and it was delicious. The cappuccino was great. Our waiter was fantastic and even gave us a few items on the house. The deserts are all great, I would recommend the cannolis. Only complaint is how easy it is to spend $ here and keep ordering food
Was greeted by name. Table was ready. Service was personal. Menu had offerings for everyone. Food was great. The Caesar Salad and the Pasta Lobster Carbonara are my recommendations. One or two desserts with multiple spoons is more than enough, but should not be missed.
Everything was delicious veal is just amazing!
Wonderful service with a smile during a recent visit. The food was very good especially the Cesar salad and veal chop. The cannoli dessert was to die for!
We had a very nice dinner in a unique setting. Excellent service
A gem of a restaurant that wins the triple crown for food, service and atmosphere. We ate there twice on a NYC Theater weekend. The vegetable antipasto bar is unique. Meatballs are better than nonna’s. A short walk from the buzz of Broadway. We look forward to coming back.
I have been going here for years and they have always been a wonderful dining experience. Whether eating at the bar (Cynthia is the best) or in the other dining rooms, it’s perfect for any occasion. I have also hosted a few parties and my guests were always delighted. All I can say is try it once and you will go back.
Excellent food, excellent service! Staff makes you feel like family no matter how busy the restaurant is at any given time.
WE COME INTO THE CITY SIX TO 8 TIMES A TEAR TO SEE SHOWS OR OTHER ATTRACTIONS TRATTORIA DELL ARTE IS ONE OF OUR FAVORITE RESTAURANTS. THE FOOD AND SERVICE ARE EXCELLENT. HIGHLY RECOMMEND.
We had a snack after our Niece’s young artists premier at Carnegie Hall and had a reunion from the east coast to the west coast! Fortunately you stayed open late on a Monday because we just got out of the performance. And, an opera singer usually eats after the performance.
The food was very good and the service was fantastic! The pricing was quite expensive for most of the dishes so I can’t say pricing was excellent. The service was well worth it.
We enjoyed ourselves and had a nice array of food for the end of the day.
I would recommend it to our friends who visit NYC with a bit of pricing cautions.
An oasis near Central Park. Amazing pizza and wonderful service. so good, we went back two days later.
Our waiter Anthony was fantastic. They have the thinnest and best pizza anywhere in NYC. There is an assortment of vegetables prepared so may different ways on their antipasti bar and it is simply delicious. You cannot go wrong with anything on their menu. Not to mention the wonderful, amazing desserts that are worth every calorie. It is an experience you will never forget.
We visited this restaurant from out of town at the recommendation of our concierge at the hotel. Overall good dining experience. Food and service were excellent. Great bolognese, decent wine list.
Food value not good for high price.
This restaurant is now under the umbrella of the company that owns Fiorello’s, Bond 45 and others in the area.
The menu is extremely similar and the food tastes the same in all of these corporate restaurants.
The chicken parm and lasagna are standouts.
Vegetable selections on the antipasto buffet can be a good way to start the meal; however, the selections sometimes taste as if they have spent much too long on display.
We felt completely at home. Mr. Baskins gave us a warm, sincere welcome. The mood was perfect and the hospitality was warm. Our waiter was cheery and informative. We enjoyed ourselves more than expected.
My daughter & I had dinner here our first night in NY and it was the best Italian food we have both ever had!!
The food, service, ambience at Trattoria is always top-notch. It's perfect dining before or after the theater or a Carnegie Hall concert (conveniently right across the street). This restaurant for me and several of my friends. You just can't go wrong with any meal here.
This is our favorite restaurant in NY. The Pepperoni Chicken Parmesan is to die for!!! Service is always great.
Trattoria Dell’Arte is always a throughly excellent experience. The wait staff is genuinely hospitable and gracious and the food is consistently delicious. When in the Carnegie neighborhood, this is our go to - and happily so. Thanks, TD’A! 👍👏
Had a delightful dinner followinga performance at the City Center. Food was terrific. And our waiter really wonderful.
We wanted Italian and close to our hotel. We chose here and were not disappointed. Sicilian eggplant capanato was delicious!
Trip to nyc
Although the food was very good, the experience was disappointing because of a/c blowing on us throughout the meal. Repeated requests only resulted in brief respite. Unfortunately my husband is a cancer patient and could not have been more uncomfortable.
