Townhouse Wine Bar & Kitchen
Great atmosphere and very good service. Food was also good - paella and tacos.
Food was OK, service was rubbish. Will not be returning to this restaurant
I think it's a bit overpriced for the portion size but it does taste great and it's a little expected for tapas
Setting very nice. Service was pleasant but they forgot one of the dishes we asked for.
The food was very nice but a little expensive.
The Town House last Saturday lunchtime was excellent. Good food and service by staff on duty. Never been disappointed over the times that I have visited. Would recommend if you are in Tunbridge Wells.
Good Service, friendly staff but tapas nothing special for the price.
Took 45 minutes for our tapas and they forgot three of the dishes. we has a half hearted apology.
It might be that we were there in a Saturday but the place was full of drinkers rather than eaters and we were placed on bar stools while drinkers had proper tables. Food was ok but I certainly won’t be going back for just eating again
only Sauvignon was from chile !! Some choice for a wine bar. Service was slow as staff stood talking to each other. Had to ask for a menu. Shame as ate there previously and it was very good.
Tapas was fantastic and service was very good
Great Spanish food. We advance ordered paella, and it was delicious. all the tapas excellent.
Great little find with authentic Tapas menu - dishes are diverse, tasty, fresh and filling - not a lover of tapa's then there is limited option to go off piste but would not go far wrong with a sharing board.
We went on a Friday night and the bar was busy but once seated at a table had a lovely evening, where staff were attentive and informative.
Would definitely return especially as I was pleasantly surprised once we got the bill to find the overall cost was much less than we would normally expect to pay for such a great meal.
Food was good .
The only downside was the food ordered was presented to each diner at different times.
They did warn us that would happen but it is normal practise that when people book a table they do like to eat at the same time.
We were on our way down to Eastbourne to stay the weekend and watch the tennis, we stopped for a late lunch. We sat in the garden as the weather was good. Really lovely place in the centre of Tunbridge Wells (downside being difficult to park near the restaurant).
We ordered 4 plates of Tapas and I had a very good glass of Rioja. The food was very fresh and hot, I loved my Beef Chilli Nachos and Potatas Bravas, my husband had Prawns Alioli and Chorizo and Chicken. All excellent. So great place to stop for lunch bar the difficulty parking.
Very friendly, good food, good acoustic music, great bars, and a new celar bar, best bar in Tunbridge Wells.
Great service, along with the food, atmosphere and evening! Thanks
Love this place food is excellent and staff so friendly. Went to great effort to provide us with just the right table. Our go to place in Royal Tunbridge Wells
Good food and great service. Lovely tapas; ideal for sharing with friends. I wish we'd known in advance that it's possible pre-order paella.
Lovely vibe and tasty tapas - really enjoyed it
Really nice restaurant, waitress’ English wasn’t very good so was awkward ordering food, also music was far too loud so could not chat over dinner.
Food was pricey but good quality.
I have been to this place for drinks at the bar a few times and really like the atmosphere, however do NOT bother eating there. The food was very poor and hugely overpriced. Padron peppers are not meant to be soggy, and paying nearly £7 for a bowl of rocket and some cucumber is dreadful! I wouldn't even pay that in London where I live.
Really enjoy the atmosphere, love the food and lovely staff!
This the second time that we have been to this very good tapas restaurant. Their cheese and cold meat sharing plates are delicious and very good value.
Please note that the postcode given by Opentable is wrong and we spent ages driving around Tunbridge Wells trying to find it! The correct postcode is TN1 2UY.
Again another fantastic meal at townhouse highly recommended , GREAT FOOD , GREAT SERVICE , GREAT STAFF
What ever occasion or mix of people I am never disappointed when I go here
Have been here a lot for drinks but usually end up eating too. Great for couples or friends brilliant atmosphere and food is perfect and good value
Great place to spend a Saturday lunchtime with friends.
First time at the Townhouse. Really excellent service, friendly and sense of humour. Great atmosphere, only downside was that the food portions were a bit small...I know it's tapas. Small problem was rectified without fuss.
l'll be coming back👍
Lovely food and very attentive staff. Nice ambience, definetly going back.
A very enjoyable evening with lovely food and a good atmosphere
Lovely food great place to catch up with friends been there twice this week both were perfect
Lovely tapas restaurant with an array of dishes, am a frequent visitor as live locally. One thing I would love to see here is more vegetable dishes to compliment the meat/seafood dishes which are abundant.
Would recommend the baked Camembert, meatballs & Padron Peppers!
Been here many times for drinks but this is only the 2nd time to eat. First time upstairs - was a bit wary as thought downstairs would have more atmosphere but in fact upstairs is great - has its own little bar too. Service was friendly, food pretty good (though not quite as good tapas as a "proper" tapas bar) but one comes here for the ambience and vibe anyway. Only problem is - and be warned - if you are upstairs you get kicked out pretty suddenly at 11pm and woomph, your evening is over. Downstairs doesn't seem to have quite the same constriction.
Though have had drinks at The Townhouse many times this is the first time I'd booked to have a meal (tapas.) Was a bit worried that on a Monday evening it may lack ambience but not the case at all - it was at least half full when we came in and ebbed & flowed a bit after that. The background music was really excellent - great range from the '70's to the '90's - and our waitress was smiley, genuinely friendly and thoughtful. The tapas portions were a little on the small side compared to a well-known Tapas restaurant in town but they were well done nonetheless. Looking forward to coming back very soon.
Excellent value for both food and drinks, great atmosphere and friendly staff, a must visit
Booked for a Valentine dinner I pre-ordered paella for 2 and we started with 2. tasty tapas & cocktails. We had a very drinkable Spanish white with the paella while we listened to country singer Kathryn Anderson live. It was an excellent evening & we were looked after very well. Well done for booking KA.
Really like the atmostphere and the food was great too. We were sharing tapas - perfect - and very sociable!
End of the week light supper and nice bottle of wine; staff helpful but not pushy, enjoyed the food, enough room to sit and chat, enjoyed the music in the background, all really lovely and cosy in there, would definitely visit again.
Great food and atmosphere. Didn't have Tio Pepe to serve from bar only slight negative but survived with glass of wine!
Nice place but lacked ambience and heating not sufficient we were all cold and when we told waiter he just said it was cold outside
