Toulouse Petit Kitchen & Lounge
Our expansive menus offer culinary diversity and range from traditional Creole and French Quarter menu choices to traditional Parisian and French countryside preparations to more innovative dishes that are entirely unique to Toulouse.
Wonderful as always. And right down the street from SIFF Uptown, so that makes a perfect evening.
Closing my first trip to Seattle we decided to eat at Toulouse Petit. Best idea! Wine was perfect, Food was superb and dessert was heavenly! You cannot go wrong for brunch, lunch or dinner here! Highly recommended!
The only thing wrong with this experience was that we had to wait 40 minutes for The reservations we made on open table. Fortunately there were seats at the bar which is very unusual.
Excellent ambiance, food and service delightful. Definitely will be returning!
We brought our son and fiance here to celebrate a milestone. My husband was not so pleased to head into the city on a "school night." We found parking directly across the street! Our reservations were for 7:15 but they accommodated our early arrival. We had the butternut squash appetizer which was so flavorful and, as my son said, FRESH, tasting. So good. We split a bowl of French Onion Soup - Heavenly (although it could have been hotter) - and then we all had some amazing entree's. Sharing bites of each. We could not decide which one was the better of the four. All unique, superbly prepared and very satisfying. Service was prompt - bus-person must have been new to bussing but that was totally fine. Definitely will go often for special gatherings. When we got back in the car my husband said "I take back all my grumbling before dinner!" LOL! Thank you for making this a super great memory for us.
My friend misunderstood what he ordered, and did not care for it. The waitress was kind and brought him something else, and didn’t charge us for the first item. Other food was excellent, also the coffee. We were near the door, which was noisy. Candles were beautiful!
We had a really fun experience. The restaurant is very lively and has a cool atmosphere (candles everywhere and stylish unusual decor). The menu is extensive and there are so many options! The food came out hot and freshly prepared. It was absolutely delicious! Highly recommend.
Toulouse Petit—food always excellent; servers always delightful. Just a fun place to go. Reservation system worked well. Brought a friend (first time at Toulouse) who was a little annoyed with the decibel level, but her meal was so good, she adjusted!
My wife and I were in Seattle at the beginning and end of a trip to the Olympic Peninsula. We stumbled upon Toulouse Petit very late on our first night, loved it so much we went back for breakfast the next morning and then had dinner before our flight out a week later. Every meal was totally fabulous. My wife is a high-end caterer and she was as wowed as I was.
One of the nicer restaurants in the area. Good food but menu is too long.
Food was great, service was excellent and the room was lovely with all of the votive candles. The noise level is the only reason that this review is not higher. The din of the restaurant combined with loud music really cut into the enjoyment of the meal.
Excellent, lively restaurant with huge menu of seafood, pasta, meat and New Orleans style entrees. I had a pan-fried halibut with shrimp and crabmeat In a Cajun sauce. My wife had classic bolognese pasta dish. Both were great, and large portions. They also have a huge wine list. Would definitely recommend.
Excellent food, great service and a unique atmosphere.
The cuisine is french creole. We have had better creole food elsewhere. We had jambalaya and it was ok, nothing great! The ambience was great! Service was very friendly and the food arrived super quick!
Our anniversary! Was excited to go based on reviews we read. We arrived at 7:00 and finally at 7:20 went to the front desk and asked if we could order a drink. It arrived 15 minutes later. It was 7:45 before we ordered dinner which didn’t arrive until well after 8:00. At one point my husband asked if there was something wrong with us as we were getting no service! We ordered a bottle of Pinot gris to go with our dinner and she started pouring a Pinot noir — we said we’d ordered the Gris and she said no you didn’t! But, he plainly had. The bottle of Pinot Gris arrived as we were finishing dinner. Service was slow and terrible; the food was good so no complaints there. Will we go back? — nah, don’t think so!
Food and service were spectacular!!
My wife and I absolutely love the food at Toulouse Petit, and our experience on Wednesday was no exception. This was both a celebration of my birthday and opera night. We had invited two friends to join us for dinner, and they were also very pleased with their choices. Opera, friends, and dinner at Toulouse Petit made for the perfect birthday.
The pistachio halibut was amazing and the service was too. Will definitely be coming back. Thank you!
We visit Toulouse Petit once or twice a year when in Seattle for the Seattle Art Museum or the theatre. The food is always spectacular and the service impeccable. We highly recommend this very special restaurant.
Interesting menu but less than great food

A favorite restaurant! Only gave 4 stats on this review because bbq shrimp with grits - sauce to thin, it made dish “too soupy”. Could not eat with given fork - ran through it. But rest of groups food was excellent and service as well.
As much as we love this place, I have to take issue with the fact that We had requested a table (Since one of us was in a leg brace and wheelchair), and found that we had a booth. Which makes for an uncomfortable seating arrangement for the wheelchair. Then to be told that we should just park the wheelchair in front of the fire exit door, which is nothing but dangerous. Very disappointed with the way things were handled by the front desk staff.
Love this place tho felt a bit rushed. Food is great and ambiance is lovely
The restaurant needs some maintenance, the open ceiling is dusty and the walls have exposed nails, booths are stained. The food is great, menu is vast with something for everyone. Service was friendly
Personable wait service: helpful, mindful, attentive and reserved.
Large menu, must return to try what I didn’t order this time around.
One of the most consistently good restaurants I’ve ever frequented.
Stale bread, service a tad slow, otherwise good.
Food is excellent and a good value. Bar is weak and the server was inexperienced. I would recommend to the management to do some server training, they lacked the basics which really took away from the experience. I still recommend Toulouse Petite but I add the note “don’t expect “The Met”... but the food is very good and different than the typical Seattle fare.
The service was impeccable!! My wife & I celebrated our Anniversary here and they did not disappoint! We enjoyed The Rib Eye Steak, as well as the Crab Pasta!
Very enjoyable. Great option for dinner before the opera at McCaw Hall.
Nice feel of French Quarter with New Orleans inspired selections. Fresh oysters, line caught Salmon to shrimp and grits. Food was awesome. Service was very good but we may have caught them down a server as we didn't get a lot of attention
Service was slow, food was fabulous!
I've been here five times in the last six weeks. Came for the happy hour the times and dinner and weekend brunch. This is my new favorite place to eat. EVERYTHING is Sooooo good!
My husband and I took some friends who were visiting from the east coast since my husband had a taste for creole food. They offer unique combinations and EVERYTHING we had was delicious--from our appetizer to desserts. We look forward to going back again in the near future.
Great management! Food was great. Service a little slow.
We waited 40 minutes for our table.Service was ok
This is a great Seattle food destination for brunch or dinner! We have been twice now and plan to return when friends/family come to visit!
We had to wait 20 minutes for a table even though we had a reservation. Annoying when you’re paying a babysitter by the hour. There was another couple that walked in off the street and got seated in the bar before we did. That left a bad taste in my mouth, but the food was all very good. The bananas foster was especially delicious.
Very good lots of fun we will come back
Awesome , perfect night
Very enjoyable. Needed a reservation for sure. Interesting food and wine menus. Enjoyed trying several dishes. Most were very good
