The lamb ribs... My God the lamb ribs. So damn good. Will be coming back without hesitation
Amazing food, tasty as. Excellent service Only detractor is the noise in the restaurant makes it difficult to have a conversation.
Margaritas were very good, surpassed only by a couple around town (and Cantina OK! in Sydney). Food was flavorsome and spicy, some authentic dishes, some not so authentic but still flavored fantastically. Ceviche was great, only surpassed by Chica B in Clarence St, Sydney. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed the queso flameado and jalapeno croquettes. Tacos full of flavor, octopus won out over the fish, chicken and lamb, tho all good. All in all a fab meal enjoyed by four young adults, the main let down was the group of ten 20-somethings who were too cool for everyone and swore like fish wives, seated right behind us, but whatareyougonnado eh, everyone has the right to eat like a hombre!
Great Mexican food, vibrant atmosphere & great service all made Touch Hombre a fabulous place to eat out when visiting Melbourne. Would highly recommend this gem to anyone wanting a a great meal.
They seated us almost in the door when we have reservation and there are several tables free.
The menu is very limited.
The waitress was not kind.
Amazing food and service - a bit too loud to have a good convo
Always delicious, service is perfect and everyone is so wonderful!
We booked through OpenTable but when we arrived they didn’t have a table for us and seated us outside. No heaters, cool night and cars/buses buzzing past. Expected better and the staff didn’t help at all.
The guacomole was bland tasting - not spicy or tasty - the one I make at home is much better. There was a dish of corn which just tasted all wrong - no matter how many ways we tried it. The corn chips were way too crunchy and again, bland tasting. The lamb ribs were good. The chicken had a sweet coating on it which was not very pleasant. Disappointed and will not be going again.
We dined on the 25/2/19 as it was my partner (now fiance) and I 18 month anniversary. Our first date was at Touche Hombre, and it seemed right to return to the site where our lives changed for the better.
We have dined here a number of times, and the food and service is always outstanding.
As you might have gathered, I proposed to my partner, and out of no where 2 of the wait staff appeared with a plate of dessert and some sparkling wine and strawberries. The staff are amazingly attentive.
There efforts of the staff, topped of an amazing night that we will never forget.

Beautiful food, quic service and super friendly staff
Their corn 🌽 is fantastic and I will be back for more of that. I also had the chicken tacos which were full of flavor and well presented. I have a gluten intolerance and there was a lot to choose from on the menu 👍
It was far to loud for our table of 6...it was a hot night and we understood that the aircon couldnt cope but feeling really hot coupled with pounding music and the people having to yell on top of that...we couldnt wait to leave. We would have hung around, drank more and had deserts but we just had to get out! I understand that you want a good vibe but maybe pump it up a bit after main meal service time. We had to yell at the wait staff to be heard and then they miss understood some of the orders.
Great Atmosphere. With super friendly staff, not to mention the food was amazing and fresh! 10/10
The staff were very obliging about us changing our booking time. Thank you.
When we asked the waitress how much food to order, she recommended way too much, we had so much food left over.
The fish in the soft tacos tasted too fatty to eat, the oil factor was over powering, however we loved the nachos and fatty lamb.
This is our 6th visit and the food wasn't as nice as our other visits.
Having said that we Would return and try something different.
Ibwas on holiday with the family and we had a late lunch. Very good tapas and drinks. The music being played was very funky and energetic. Overall the vibes were execellent. We had the chicken tacos and grilled zucchini tacos, both were excellent. I also had a margarita which was very good. A bit expensive but worth it in my view. Would definitely recommend this restaurant.
Great spot, the lunch special of a corn starter then a couple of tacos and a beer or wine is top notch I reckon!
Service was good but slow. Some food was really nice but most was bland, cold and not very well cooked (octopus is cold batter??). I would be happy with it if it was more affordable but for the price I would expect a lot more.
The food was absolutely fantastic the seating is okay as was the service but very noisy and cannot hear each other unless you shout and very humid no aircon but would go back in winter and just to eat
Food was delicious although quite limited for a Mexican place. No burritos?
It was a cool vibe but the music was quite loud and struggled talking across the table.
Amazing food, great tacos which mix authentic with exciting. Well priced for the portions as well
We tried 3 different tacos & all were outstanding! Good sized portions.
Tacos were sooooo delicious! And the corn on the cob is fabulous too. Great service and ambience. Can't wait to go back for happy hour!
This is a great Mexicab restaurent with lovely, healthy, tacos filled with quality ingredients. The long tables make it gret for catching up with a group of people and the service is good.
Love this place, excellent service from everyone that works there, great food, if you’re not sure what to order go the feed me, the bar staff really know how to mix the drinks, and the place has a really good vibe to it, my tip book so you get a table especially if it’s a weekend.
It was a lovely evening, not much on the menu which was very disappointing. Made it hard to have a meal. Good for sharing but not good for a full meal. But everything was reasonably priced and the atmosphere was good. Little annoyed that we got seated on a high table as I had requested not to be so we didn’t stay for more drinks after the food as it was uncomfortable for us. But I would recommend them if you’re snacky or before a night out.
Just a pre-warning for those who want dine here on a public holiday. We werent made aware of the public holiday surcharge when making a booking nor when ordering. So expect the meal to be quite more expensive. But other that, it would be worth it on any other day.
usually touche is amazing and i'm always telling my friends to go and dine there but the recent trip has changed my perception. The food was just not as good which is a huge disappointment as you guys have been consistently delivering great food time and time again. The service was great and ambience as well but just a huge let down, we ordered chicken tacos and the touche guac both were very average :( Hopefully on our next visit we will get the same flavours as we are used to
Almost every dish we ordered we were told they had sold out of, it was 6pm on a Friday so I feel very sorry for guests who came over the weekend. The waitress new next to nothing about tequila or their cocktails. Food was good (of what they had in stock) but overpriced for the quantities. I have been many times and each time has progressively gotten worse, after this occasion I will not be returning
You don't very often get a bad meal in Melbourne in fact, in 20 years I can count three, but this is one of them. The music was earsplittingly loud. There were more waitresses than diners. Watched one write on the chalkboard for two solid hours. The food was below average but wait for this a cocktail is $18! and a jug $70! Even Southbank it's $12 a cocktail and $25 a jug. Never to return.
I am a regular visitor to Touche Hombre and enjoy it's funky and cool vibe. Working close by, I find it easily accessible, with a quick lunchtime turnaround. The service is friendly and the dishes are tasty and value for money.
Love love love
My friend and I visited for dinner while we were in Melbourne for a Business Trip and stayed on for a few extra days. This place was recommended by a work colleague and the food was amazing that we went back the next day to the Cauliflower dish. I will recommend this place to all friends that live and visit Melbourne. I know when I go back to Melbourne I will be sure to go back again.
Whilst the service was great, the food was terrible. I've been to Touche Hombre before but this was not the same experience. In particular, the tacos were not fresh and the shell was dry and horrible.
Service and the food was amazing! Went well beyond expectations
Great experience overall at Touche Hombre. All of my friends had a good time, food was brought out quick, and all meals were delicious! No complaints!
Tasty food with friendly staff. Vibrant and lively with quick service. A little pricey but an enjoyable experience overall.
The food was great and well priced! notably the fatty lamb ribs were outstanding and would 100% suggest sharing them with a partner or friend. The Red wine although admittedly well over priced at around $50 a bottle is still a great drop and would reccommend the Tempranillo as it is easy to drink and a great accompaniment to the Ribs, Guac and Rice.
I left with a food coma and a full belly!
Compliments to the Chef and all Foh staff you were all over it!
Friendly service and good food with great taste. Easy to understand the menu and a good atmosphere going inside.
I celebrated my birthday. The staff is friendly and good food quality
