Since 2015, Timber & Salt downtown Redwood City has been serving quality steaks, seafood, craft cocktails, and fresh, seasonal dishes highlighting the best ingredients California has to offer. We also serve one of the best burgers in Silicon Valley. Our cocktail program features hand-crafted cocktails using select spirits, house made syrups, bitters, tinctures and specialty garnishes. We also feature a deep list of spirits, fine wines and specialty beer. Both the kitchen and bar utilize fresh ingredients from our farm in Woodside California. Timber & Salt has intimate indoor seating for over 50 guests and an enclosed, heated outdoor patio for up to 30 guests. We are open for dinner Tuesday through Saturday.

Join us this Thanksgiving for a three-course prix fixe that pairs holiday tradition with our steakhouse roots. - Begin with your choice of butternut squash soup topped with crab meat, or our Fall Harvest Salad — persimmon, pear, pomegranate, radicchio, pecan, and ricotta salata with a honey mustard champagne vinaigrette. - For your entrée, choose from roasted turkey breast (dark meat available upon request), filet mignon, or one of our signature cuts from the fire — a 12 oz NY Wagyu or 14 oz Prime Ribeye. Every entrée is served with mushroom stuffing, mashed potatoes, and cranberry sauce. - Open Thanksgiving Day, 11 AM – 7 PM. $62–$85 per guest, depending on entrée selection.

Best Burger in Redwood City. Hands down. I took time out of my day to write this. I came here for the first time last week and went back yesterday because it was that good. Trust me.

Food was pretty solid. I don’t recommend eating outside on their heated patio - they have a rat infestation out there. They are pretty aggressive and tried to scavenge food while we were eating. The staff was quite apologetic and moved us inside which we definitely appreciated.

We were warmly greeted and seated. Unfortunately, the air conditioning was blowing on us and also caused ripples in the tablecloth next to us. The server was very friendly and attentive, no negatives there. we ordered the ribeye steak which did come as ordered (rare). We also ordered a side of asparagus and fries. The fries arrived hot, the asparagus was room temperature. The steak, rare, was cool in the center (as it should be) and yet the outside was mild. Overall, a disappointment.

Disappointing! My husband and I were excited to go out to dinner and try a new place for our 17th wedding anniversary. I made a reservation for 6:30, we showed up at 6:35 and the host seated us quickly and was quite friendly which was nice. But, that was the ONLY highlight of the night. We were sat in the corner, right against the back wall. No one came and asked what we wanted to drink and after a few minutes a worker came with water. Our server acknowledged us and said she'd be with us shortly. Which she did, quickly took our order, the one thing I wanted wasn't available because they had sold out, as I scoured the menu my husband and ordered. No suggestions of food, no 'what about some appetizers? A drink?' No interaction between any staff, until our food was delivered. The food was decent, nothing amazing, but NOT ONCE while we ate did anyone come by our table and ask how we're doing or if we needed anything! No recognition of our anniversary EVER. Then came the check, which the waitress couldn't set down on our table because she couldn't get through because the tables were too close together. Needless to say we won't be back, extremely disappointing!

We found the food to be OK but not fabulous. The zucchini appetizer was too hard to bite & chew. The filet mignon was a quality cut of meat but it had way too much pepper and excessive salt on it. The asparagus was limp and stringy and had too much oil. The fried chicken was tasty but too rich. Our seats were located in a high traffic area and I was constantly being bumped by servers. The place was really noisy and wasn’t quiet or relaxing. We are glad we tried a new place, but we probably won’t be back.
