I had been to this diner before a few years ago. I had Lemon Ricotta Pancakes that were fantastic. I looked online and saw they still had them so I booked a breakfast on my birthday to have them. I get there and they aren't following COVID precautions properly. They are supposed to take your temperature when you enter and have you provide your name, phone number and address for contact tracing. The woman taking temps was scanning the back of people's hands and not their forehead or wrist and no contact info was taken. They sat people at tables right next to each other and had no patricians in between. To make matters worse, no Lemon Ricotta Pancakes! They took them off the menu but didn't bother to take them off the website. We got omelets instead and they were greasy and had bits of ingredients we didn't ask for (like bell peppers) indicating they weren't cleaning their grill very well in between orders. Two bad omelets, one order of limp bacon, and two coffees with tip was over $50! Save your money and go elsewhere.
Food was really good, cooking time was fast but everything felt fresh and on point, waitresses were friendly and gave the place a warm atmosphere, we went for a family weekend brunch. But we all agree that we are definitely going to come back and maybe turn it into a routine. It’s hard to find a place where you don’t have complains about it.
The staff was courteous. My food came out quickly, and it was delicious. I ordered the Oreo Cookie pancakes. The price for my meal was not expensive. I would definitely go back to Tick Tock.
waitress was rude and the food was nasty; another guest did pay for my boyfriend and i's food so that was the highlight of our experience at tick tock diner
Nice place, affordable food
If you are looking for a traditional NY type diner near Penn Station/Madison Square Garden area - this is a great stop. We wanted a diner that took reservations and was reasonably priced for brunch that could comfortably seat 5. This is a really nice size place. The service was good and my greek omelet was delicious. The kids loved their burgers.
Brought a friend here as I had visited 2 years ago and loved everything about it. The service had been wonderful & the food was delicious.
Unfortunately this was not the case on my last visit on 6th March. The service was appalling, the waiter was just short of falling asleep taking our order and could not have been less interested!! Food was a big let down compared to my last visit too. Not sure if this is down to Covid but we both left feeling so disappointed and hungry despite having spent $70 before tip!!! Such a let down. Before this visit I told everyone visiting NYC to go here and now I’m sorry to say I would never recommend it again.
Great taste and value eats. Would go again. Location is good also since I was attending a Ranger game at MSG.
The bacon, coffee and the cheese burger were all good. I didn’t like the french fries, they were seasoned with something I didn’t like. The service was good.
Waiter did not come to our table after taking our order. Had to get up to get our own napkins. Service was really bad
Great service love our breakfast!!!
Closed due to COVID-19. Not sure who runs this but this has been closed.
Dinner wasn’t even open
I went there on the date and time of my booking. It turned out the place is closed. I wasted a trip there and was embarrased with my guest! If the restaurant is closed, OpenTable should not confirm reservations!
This is a reflection of Open Table. We traveled into the city and Tick Tock Diner is CLOSED!
We had a very nice breakfast. We go here everytime we stay in NY.
From the moment we entered, we felt comfortable being at Tick Tock. The waiter took good care of us with suggestions for lunch, checking in on our dining and getting us checked out. We had a good lunch in as safe a restaurant environment as we could hope for. Thanks!
Friendly service and great people. The only reason I gave ambience a 4 was because it was quite quiet - that’s not their fault though with a pandemic in full force!
Food and service were outstanding, and location was perfect as we were going across the street for a Rangers game that evening. Can't beat it!
My only complaint was that our visit felt very very rushed
Great location although we were freezing sitting by the door
Overall everything was great. Service was slow, but we were having a get together so we weren’t in a rush. And best of all didn’t feel rushed Thank you Tick Tock Diner
So much fun. Went for a friend's birthday before a Broadway show. We stayed at the hotel The New Yorker and wanted a place close by so we could relax eat have drinks and Uber over to the theater. We all were able to eat exactly what we wanted because of the large selection. And the cocktail were great!! Super affordable and great fun energy.
Mid-town Diner, convenient for quick bite and they take reservations!
Although the service was prompt and pleasant, the food wasn’t good at all. Bacon was fatty and chewy. Toast seemed to be made with stale bread. Disappointing even for diner food.
Petit passage obligatoire dans ce bon dinner lors de nos séjour à New York !!
I found the tick tock diner over rated the food was very salty the service was terrible and very over priced visiting this place once only on your vacation is plenty!
Tick tock never fails to please. This time however tick tock out did itself. When I commented on how much Nutella was served with crepes, we were offered complimentary dessert. When we declined the offer, an amount was deducted from our bill. Always a pleasure to enjoy Tick Tock Diner
We had a great meal and would recommend Tick Tock Diner NY to all my friends!
Our servers were very accommodating and hard workin to get our table of 15 ready before the reservation. Thank you for making our trip to NYC great!
Tasty, good coffee, efficient, funny waiter...everything a good diner needs to be.
Good diner at a great location near MSG and Penn Station.
The food was not good at all. I had the eggs Benedict, taste wasn't great. Wel ares this is a diner but for diner food it was not good. Wouldn't recommend. Full of tourists and super packed on a weekend.
Great choice for a casual pre show dinner! Our server Ned was wonderful!
Fabulous place for breakfast before jumping on a train
We had a reservation for 9 but only 7 showed up. They squeezed us in a small booth meant for 4 people.
Food was good, service was ok, it’s a NYC diner so was crowded at lunch time. Great location stopped in to eat before a 1pm Ranger game at MSG.
We were having a family get together and were told we had to give up our table fo other customers.
It was pretty uncomfortable.
We liked our fast talking fast moving water though.
Service was terrible. Waitress took a long time to come over. When the order came was missing a part of the order. Waitress never came to check on us. Asked someone for a refill of drinks and they never came. Had to take our check up to the bar to pay. Not sure if he was bar tender or manager but he was very ride didn't look at me or say anything.
This is a great spot if you are looking for a true relaxed diner in the city. We went in the afternoon so it wasn’t super packed, the food came in a timely manner and it was great!
