We decided that there were enough FANTASTIC pizza joints serving extraordinary Neapolitan pies, and that, actually, we wanted something a little easier to share, a little easier to pick up (as you wander onto the roof with a cocktail) and a little crisper. We didn't want a base quite as crispy as a Roma pie and so, after Ian Connolly, our executive chef returned from a stint training in a pizza academy in Lazio, along with his chief pizza maker, we realised the style we were after was an 'Italiano' base - softer than a Roma, but cooked at the same temperature, with a Neapolitan style crust. The closest in style would be a New York pizza which was brought from Napoli and adapted to American tastes, so as to create a pick-able up-able slice. The toppings are inspired by Ian's trip to Lazio but with lots of Irish & American influences also. We hope to do lots of 'pizza parties' with 20/25 quid a head menus, including starters, pizzas, salads and desserts, very accessible prices we think!

Great food, atmosphere slightly spoiled by a group of loud tourists, 2 of whom proceeded to wrestle on the ground beside their table. The staff didn't seem to know what to do with them so did nothing. Other than that we had a very enjoyable dinner, I will definitely be back, hopefully minus wrestlemania.

Personally I enjoyed the food but this was a mixed experience among my group with one individuals pizza constantly falling apart.

The close confines for seating and large table beside my group left my ears ringing on the way out. We had originally planned to order far more cocktails but it was too difficult to enjoy food and company with that unfortunate racket.

Great little find near city centre where you can sit and watch the world go by in an elevated restaurant. Pizzas are delicious and there's a great variety of gins and garnishes to be had

Pizzas were generous in size and there was a good selection of different toppings for all. We had gins and tonics with different garnishes which were nicely presented. Overall a great setting where you can watch the world go by and a very chilled atmosphere.

Staff was so friendly and helpful. The food was so yummy and delicious - left the place feeling very full. As a vegetarian, the veggie options can be hit or miss, and my pizza was one of the best I've ever had. My boyfriend, who's a very picky eater, loved his also. Was the best vibe and experince for our Valentine's day date

Well this was my second visit to the yarn after a very successful first visit I had very high hopes of it been just as nice and it did not disappoint it was even better then the first time . My pregnant partner litrally craved the chicken wings from here since our last visit so we went with chicken wings and chips for our meal which was excellent as always we then moved on to our desert we got chocolate brownie with ice cream the brownie was so fresh it litrally melted in your mouth. I don't even know where to begin with the service they go out of their way to help you with anything their always smiling and so pleasant to deal with Sarah is litrally the best customer service provider I've ever met in a restaurant just makes you feel so welcome I will definitely be back again for more chicken wings.

Had a fantastic work gathering at The Yarn recently. Great food, lovely setting, friendly staff, good wine, handy location and funky vibe.
Only thing is that we had to ask for the heaters to be switched on. Al Fresco in Ireland needs heaters.
I would recommend the buffalo wings and the eggplant fries.

Have been to The Yarn several times and have really enjoyed it. However, this time the service was really poor and really slow. One of the waiters kept answering in an obviously annoyed and sharp tone.. Didn’t make us feel welcome at all.. I’d say she just felt stressed but it wasn’t even that busy... It was really a shame because the restaurant is placed in such a beautiful location. And food was lovely.
