The pork cutlets were dreadful. The pappardelle with lamb ragu had only a half dozen of tiny pieces of lamb as small as my pinky nail in sauce. The whole dish wasn't worth $27. The service and ambiance was good.
Fantastic venue and great service. I love the Primus Hotel and the Wilmot is a favorite spot for lunch
Expensive mediocre food. Couldn't split the bill neither in the restaurant, nor in the bar.
After the dinner we had a couple of glasses of wine in the bar - equivalent to a bottle. The manager refused to charge us the bottle price. The difference was $10 and we already spent over $400+ in the establishment at this point. It's a matter of principle.
Everything is good
Food was not out of the ordinary, very standard menu BUT done right.
I ordered the steak medium, arrived medium rare, did not want to make a fuss on my wife’s birthday, gave it a fair go and like i said.. even then it was done right. So i ate it.
Service was great.
Attentive and efficient service in an interesting and attractive setting with satisfactory well priced food.
Great Hotel, Stayed for 3 nights in a spacious Executive room. Lovely decor & Art Deco design. Had a meal included in the package & chose to dine on Sunday night. Only another 2 tables in the restaurant. we were presented the a la carte menu and we said we were on an included meal so they quickly whisked those away and presented us the reduced menu. it would have been nice to look at the other menu & to see if we would have liked to upgrade our dining experience, but your loss. We had the option of one course and to upgrade to 2 or 3 courses. Having had a large lunch we thought wed just have a main & dessert. I chose a crumbed pork cutlet with a fennel/apple salad & celeriac puree. It was ok, to heavy & thick on the crumb which hadn't cooked properly in places, otherwise it was just ok. Not seasoned & quite bland. My Partner chose the Vegetable lasagne which was just a tragedy! It was just a slab of thinly cut (pre-bought?) gtrilled vegetables with a vinegary taste that even though it looked as though it had been baked three times as it was quite dark around the edges it was tough & leathery to eat. accompanied with a standard Napoli sauce & a bit of cheese. No pasta, sauce or cheese through the dish to help bind, moisten or flavour the dish. We tried to eat it & share our meals but after a few bites, finished our drinks, decided to skip dessert & went & got KFC! Breakfast had been pretty ordinary too service lacklustre on all occasions. F&B department really need to lift their game as the rest of the hotel was lovely.
Great well!
This is our Restaurant of choice when we want something relaxed, but a little bit Special.
Unobtrusive but attentive service superb flavour combinations, an ambience reflecting the art Deco surroundings. Love it!
Please don't change the current formula - price, quality of food and service. Perfect as it is. If any of these dimensions are changed I will go somewhere else.
Great food and ambience. The only fault I could find is that it takes a while for the food to be delivered
One of the hidden gems in the city. Excellent value for a 4-course dinner with good quality food. The service staff were friendly and very attentive. Good ambience, although I thought it was a little darker than I would have liked. The one suggestion I have if for them is to expand the dessert menu. Other than that it is a great place to have dinner with friends. I am also a member of the Primus Hotel and you get very generous discounts on top of the already reasonable price.
Unique venue, aspect looking across the foyer captivating. Remodelling, while modern, is quite sympathetic to the age of the building. Food very good, however the kitchen had trouble coping with the number of guests (including a table of 24 and two tables of 8-10). We waited a long time for our food - staff very attentive and provided an additional complimentary glass of wine and apologies. Will go again.
There were 2 or 3 things unavailable to be ordered, even though we arrived when afternoon tea started.
Staff were friendly enough but not really attentive.- took a while to order tea/ food.
Some of the sweeter items were very average, savoury items were quite tasty.
Delicious food with perfect presentation served in the art deco environment of the 1930-40's museum of the Sydney Water Board. The only drawback is the set menu.
Amazing food and great value. Will be going back! Courses Menu had a good variety.
I love this hotel so its a great location to eat lunch especially if you need a quiet and professional space. The food and service are great.
Centrally located in Sydney, this is a lovely lunch or dinner venue. The set-price menu is good value. Our meals were tasty and we'd recommend the grilled barramundi as a main.
Service started very good, but then slowed down tremendously. It took almost an hour between course two and course three, and the restaurant wasn’t incredibly busy. Chicken in course three seemed undercooked in areas.
Very professional staff, the food was amazing. I would dine here again.
amazing food and ambiance. good for dates or corporate meetings. Value for money. I would love to go again.
Great food. Family friendly. Good choice of drinks. Would come again.
The food was very tasty. We felt a little rushed through the whole meal.
Was really impressed with the new Winter menu, presentation was beautiful and tasted amazing!
This is my favourite place to eat in the CBD. I have been there 3 times now and it never disappoints.
The service is excellent along with the food. I will be going back on my next trip to the City.
Great service and excellent food! Fabulous ambiance.
Great food, great service. Totally worth the price you paid, which is not that much at all considering the quality you get. Highly recommended!
Stunning art decor building, very reasonable price A bit hard to find as there is no hotel signage on the street
Great food and service, very nice venue would recommend.
The staff are professional, service a high standard.
The food is exceptional
Great value dinner menu, though the courses started coming out a little quickly. Once we'd spoken to the right waitstaff, the service was more spread out. Food was excellent. Even the house wine was quite reasonable.
Beautifully presented food which was delicious. The service was extremely good and I never had to ask for anything. Wonderful experience in all and will be back.
A lovely meal, as always, in as beautifully restored Art Deco space. The menu range for main courses is small but they are delicious and attractively presented. The service is excellent.
Food was average. Some highlight and lowlights. Dessert options were dull and not very tasty. Overall, for a 4 course meal, it felt very rushed as there was no or minimal break b/n courses
Cannot fault this place.
The weak link of the night were the desserts. Very boring and a sad end to a wonderful meal.
We became Club Primus members because we like the hotel so much. Great staff, service and food and building
The food was exceptional & the 3 course set menu was good value for the quality of the food you get
This was the second time that we dined at here and it was just as good as the first time. The service was excellent - one of our group didn't come, so the staff moved us to a nearby table with better seating for 5, at our request. The staff really try to go the extra mile. The food is also very good. We will dine here again.
Friendly staff and good food but a little pricey.
