Nice little quaint place on Main St. in Port Washington. Food here is very creative, prepared to order and portions are ample size. Honestly never had a bad meal here. Nice wine list too!
Great service. Very comfortable
Everything was so delicious! The veal chop special, the pigs and blankets, the Mediterranean plate. The server was very attentive and personable. The noise level was very energetic. The acoustics were not well planned out. and it was hard to have a conversation.
We love to treat ourselves to dinner at this local restaurant. We always split a salad which is plenty to get our appetites started and then enjoy an entrée. This time I had the bronzino and my friend had the salmon from the regular menu and they were both just delicious. Such a great neighborhood gem. If you're not local, Wild Goose is absolutely worth a visit. We're just lucky we get to enjoy it often.
Always delicious food and good drinks. Just wish you didn’t have to sit on top of the people next to you and it was so loud.
Go to Wild Goose 2-3/mo. Food and service are always consistently great. Great cocktails and good wine selection.
Great food, excellent wait staff.
Relaxed setting, Excellent Food, good wine and beer choices, good service.
Loved it! Food wonderful
Never disappoints! Food is fresh delicious. Wine is good too 😊
Delicious food--interesting and well-prepared. Nice selection of wines by the glass. Accommodating service.
Hot and spicy chicken wings were to die-for, as were the pigs-in-a-blanket. The burgers were all delicious. Service was the stellar
The food and service was excellent. We enjoyed our dinner and definitely will return.
Outstanding service, very good food.
First time here but many positive experiences at Heirloom and Brass Rail, by same owners. Really great food and service
Watch out for Very salty food
we have eaten here many times but this last time the quality of the food dropped tremendously. Maybe the head chef was away for restaurant week? Everyone gets a first pass but it will be a while before we go back to try again. Lastly they need to decide are they a bar with a few dining tables or a restaurant with a service bar. Too many happy hour folks get loud and spill over into dining area making it very loud. Please get comfortable chairs too. All constructive feedback....thanks!
Restaurant week: Nice selection, portions plentiful, service attentive. Cute local spot. Worth a revisit.
Went for restaurant week, food was amazing.
Way TOO CROWDED and COLD! Think they added more tables.
It was packed for restaurant week but the Food was excellent. Our server and the other staff couldn’t have been nicer or more attentive. it really added to the enjoyment of the meal. I love this place!
Restaurant Week menu was about the best I'd seen anywhere. Every choice looked wonderful and tasted even better.
Food was good but we did not enjoy waiting 30 minutes past our reservationtime for a table.
Bad weather so the floors were very wet and slippery. Service was friendly and attentive. Food was good. Red and Green Cesar was lack luster
Best mussels ever ; Hangar steak excellent ; duck and Brussel sprouts so tasty ; all excellent
On a Friday night around 6:45 the restaurant had a packed bar (some people waiting for others for dinner). Very noisy.
Had some simple comfort foods and they were all prepared as requested in adequate portions.
Service is a strong point and staff very knowledgeable about the menu.
Good as a neighborhood place between a pub and a fine restaurant.
The service is excellent and the appetizers are first rate, but it goes downhill from there. The main courses ( we got fish) and not well cooked and served very mushy. The kitchen is clearly understaffed and not taking adequate time to prepare the dishes even though the time between courses is extensive. Dinner there is a long drawn-out evening. Desserts are also poorly done.
Wild Goose is a personal favorite. I bring friends, family and business associates here all the time. You won't be disappointed in their food, drinks, and service.
We have been eating at The Wild Goose ever since it first opened and have never had a bad meal or experience. The food is consistently good and delicious, and the waitstaff is consistently knowledgeable, attentive, and good-natured.
Food and service is top notch. Food quality and execution is really good. Menu is diverse yet not expansive. Portions are generous.
Good food. Good service. Great hostess. A little noisy.
Excellent service and terrific food. Forest burger is simply sublime and plentiful. Lobster spring roll could be priced a little higher and give two, instead of one. Delicious homemade ice cream and chocolate souffle.
Would recommend this restaurant for a delicious meal
Love the small plates.
Would go there more often, but for the noise level.
No longer living in the area I took the recommendation of a friend. The Wild Goose delivered all around! We were a party of 4 that became a party of 6 at the last minute. Traveling to Port on the LIRR thus was extremely convenient with just a 2 minute walk. My companions consisted of a few very picky eaters and the menu offered enough of a selection to please everyone. Chicken, hanger steak, pasta all delivered on taste, presentation & portion size.
Staff was very friendly, knowledgeable & willing to accompany.
Great find. I’ll certainly return on future trips.
Waiter was terrific, really good service. We had the monkfish, beet salad, gnocchi, all very delicious. Entrees took a long time to arrive ( a busy Saturday night) but thankfully were worth the wait.
Went on a Saturday. Chose to sit at the bar. . Gina is a great bartender. Very accommodating and comfortable. Had the duck tamales and goat burger. Both excellent. Wife had linguine and clams with shrimp. Excellent!! Chocolate dessert topped off a great meal. Definitely coming back again and again!!
Great atmosphere. Wonderful waitress. Annie
I've been at The Wild Goose 3 times and it has been consistently good every time that I've gone there. I would highly recommend this to friends and family.
