Looked after very well but party had variable comments on the food and value thereof rating generally at 7 out of 10. Probably would not return.

We met our friends for lunch, the food, service was good. My friend banged his head in the gentlemen toilets which slightly marred the occasion. Signs were in place on the second beam, but was easily missed.

Despite Mother Nature cutting the power off a few times the Chef managed to keep everything going / well done! Beautiful plates of food and excellent service. Well done team.

We were given a voucher for Christmas to visit this wonderful restaurant. Decided to book for valentines evening - it was a perfect choice!
From the moment we entered the restaurant to leaving it was 1st class. We both had the 5 course taster menu - one being vegetarian. Food was absolutely beautiful and the staff were all amazing. Would definitely recommend this restaurant and will be returning very soon!

My friend and I enjoyed our lunch at the Wife of Bath. Your staff were forgiving about our late arrival, occasioned by problems with parking. We came by separate vehicles and we both found the car park full. Surprising as the restaurant was not. The space is very tight and we both found it more difficult to leave, than enter (as indeed did the person in front of me). If this is normal, then guests should be advised to park in Wye Village, rather than as the restaurant.
We chose the menu of the day, and the food was excellent, washed down by a nice dry Prosecco. The poached Hake was particularly memorable.
Service was attentive, but not unduly so. The background music was slightly intrusive, at this volume, I would have preferred Mozart or Telemann.
Overall, we enjoyed ourselves and will certainly return when another special occasion beckons.

Always great food and great service. So hard to choose from the menu as I always want every dish but what ever you choose is creative and well done.

My wife and I had a pleasant meal here but I wouldn’t necessarily recommend the set lunch menu which I didn’t find to be good value. On the day we went it was very average and I had expected more.

Can’t fault the service though and it’s a nice place to sit.

Bread is amazing!

Really lovely meal which considering end of bin wine offer and quality of food, was extremely value for money! Francesca I think was our waitress and should be commended for her exceptional and friendly service throughout.

I found the food to be over priced for the standard received. The main dish was extremely salty and in today's life style salt should not be a main ingredient. The starters were lovely, and the extra little tasters were a nice added bonus. The bread and home made butter was also good bread slightly over cooked. Staff were amazing and very helpful. Sparkly wine not quite chilled enough.

We had such a nice afternoon in your restaurant. The food was lovely and the space is beautiful. The starter was a little small for the price. Would be great to add a roast to the vegan menu!
Thank you for a lovely lunch :)

Overall it is worth a visit. Food is good and the service from waiting staff was friendly. Car park is a little small for the number of potential guests - we could not get a space. The entry is a little awkward; the inner door open in to a narrow hallway. The staff use a 'till' on a cupboard in the hallway and have their back towards guests as they walk in. This is not a very friendly set-up - especially as there does not seem to be any hurry in greeting people as they arrive.

Lovely, relaxed, informal setting. Great menu options. A La Carte, 5 course or 8 course tasting. Very reasonable wine list and wide options by the glass as well as carafes. Really friendly and attentive service. A great night. Thank you.

Our 3rd or 4th visit. As before, the quality of the food was outstanding across all 3 courses. Service was once again excellent from very friendly staff, nothing was too much trouble for them. Ample choice of menus. House wine very good and reasonably priced. To close the meal, excellent coffee with home made fudge to accompany it. Ambience most acceptable even if the large party in the other room were at times a little noisy! A definite plus point continues to be the private parking area immediately behind the building.

We had the most delicious dinner here from the 3 course menu to celebrate a birthday. The wine is also reasonably priced and very good. We were staying over in the hotel so also had the pleasure of the most amazing Spanish breakfast the next morning - perfect!

Really enjoyed most of the food but the steaks are over rated and over priced . Also the manager needs to develop their ability to come up with solutions when guests give feedback . In my business the customer is always right .
When you are asked ie if the steak was ok and the feedback was fine / no answer it’s a clear indication that things are not quiet right - also when with friends you don’t want to cause a scene / wait another hour for food to come back out .

This small element of our experience ruined the whole night . When spending over £600 I feel it should be perfect .......

Good restaurant with quality food, but no outstanding dishes. 5 course Tasting menu is very good value at £80. Only downside was the long wait between each course.
