The steak and lobster were excellent. I was not a huge fan of the brussel sprouts and the mojito I got just tasted like tonic water.
Favorite place to eat! And love the staff there !!
Great for a couples dinner. Comfortable atmosphere.
It was a wonderful experience. Peter and his partner were awesome.
We dined there twice we like it so much. I had scallops with butternut squash purée which was outstanding and my husband had filet and lobster. Both perfectly cooked. We didn’t care much for our corner king suite that was very dated and in rough shape but the Western Door Steakhouse was the highlight of our trip.
Excellent service, our waitress team was very attentative to our needs. Food was excellent. This was a phenomenal experience!
servers should carry trays instead of those rackety carts they use to bring out. takes away from the class and noise level
We had two servers, Tammy and Peter, and still were neglected for long periods of time. It took at least 20 minutes for them to take our drink order and we were never asked if we wanted another. Neither of them checked on us throughout our meal. VERY disappointed.
Food was not good. Soup was like mud steak over cooked and received half glass of wine as they ran out. Cafeteria like atmosphere.
King crab legs were AMAZING! I’ve never had such meaty legs before. Worth the price! Will be back again!
Overall good value and nice dining experience. Our server's were efficient and friendly along with the rest of the staff. The restaurant is fairly priced compared to their food quality and offerings. Our steaks were done perfectly (med-rare) although, not the most flavorful compared to other steak houses we typically dine at, but still pretty good. Our drinks, appetizers (shrimp cocktail & Cobb salad) and sides (glazed carrots and mushrooms) were very good. My wife and I shared a Crème Brulee for desert. However, instead of the nice vanilla base pudding topped with fresh berries, this was much different. It was a caramel based pudding, not what we expected and not very tasty for us anyway. We would dine here again in the future, nice meal, good service & friendly staff and fairly priced.
Wonderful Valentine’s Dinner! We requested a booth and were told they couldn’t guarantee it, however they were able to accommodate us when we checked in. Very nice. We wanted to order the Wedge Salad, but were told they were out of it. When our server returned she said “you got the last one!” We shared and it was outstanding. Our steaks were cooked to perfection and the trio of flavored butters that came with the bread basket were divine. We will be back!
Took my girlfriend here for Valentine’s Day and we were both not impressed with the food . The steak was good very over priced . Steak comes with absolutely nothing and you have to pay for each individual side that you would like which were also not cheap . Also steak sauce cost 3 dollars !? Even the cheaper restaurants give you steak sauce for free . My girlfriend got the lobster tail and was not happy with it , was not hot at all. All together we were not happy with our Valentine’s Day dinner . I feel if spending 50 dollars on steak I should get a side with it .
It was good . Not sure worth the price and the team seemed to be under stress
great food, great service our waiter Peter was fantastic.
Excellent service and the steaks were cooked to perfection and very tender. Great food.
Our server, Peter, was pristine in his work; and the food was delicious.
Sea bass and Kansas City strip steak special was
Fantastic as always.
We have been there many, many times. This time was different. There seemed to be only one waiter (or only one man running around mad) and a helper (who, by the way, was also running around, literally). Not sure if they were short staffed or what the issue was, but we felt rushed ONLY because of how they were rushing... I do believe this is a management issue and not the colleague as they were only trying to take care of everyone the best they could. The host and another gentleman or two could not be bothered with helping for anything... truly a shame... Would still recomend it as the food is the best at this casino, but really need to see how many people they have working there...
We have eaten at Western Door multiple times and had great meals and service, however it has been a few years and we will never go back. Went there this weekend for Valentines Day, had 2 waitresses, never cleared the table of dirty plates until we asked, poured on own water, poured our own wine, didn't touch the appetizer because it was so bad that they never asked, food was a 3 on a 1 to 10 scale, very disappointed for a place we used to love so much.
Not what is used to be ....
For a suppposed higher end restaurant the level of service was horrible
When we were seated the host threw the menus down and walked away .
The table was bare - not set up for dining .. no silverware of napkins to be found .. we waited about 10 minutes before our waitress came over to see if we wanted drinks .. mind you
Not even a glass of water was on the table - blank empty table . It felt
More like McDonald’s .. the asssistant to the waitress came over with water and silverware and was attentive to our table . It was busy but our waitress was no were to be found for another cocktail or to take our order .. she could be seen running between tables very hurried . Our food was brought out - no check on how we were doing ,if we needed anything etc. very disappointing .. her assistant thankfully came to Check on us - brought refills and asked if we wanted dessert or coffee. Our food was well prepared and of excellent quality . For the price of the meal and reputation of being higher end, the atmosphere and service was disappointing to say the least . I did leave a small tip.. I felt like the assistant should Get something..
In the AM when we checked out there was a .96 charge to our room from the steakhouse - we paid cash .. just used room credit towards our meal .
Every thing was good but the restaurant seem to have a lot of people in it more then I wish was there was
My wife and I always have a great dinner at the Steakhouse. The service is outstanding and the food is always over the top.
I had strip steak and it was cooked perfectly. My wife had the heirloom tomato salad and she said it was almost too pretty to eat. It was very delicious. The servers (Jennipher was one) were very personable, professional and did a great job. One of the best meals we’ve had in a long time.
Tomahawk steak was delicious and highly recommended. Sides were very good and the wine was even better
We arrived to a room appointed more like a buffet restaurant than a high-end steakhouse. The vegetable side was mushy and lukewarm; the sauce on the scallops was lukewarm as well, prompting my guest to decide to take it home so that she could eat it warm the next day. The hamburger was very good, but at $28, it should be. And the fries were very good but, again, not warm.
Overall, I would say this was one of the more disappointing dining experiences I’ve had in recent years. And the “it’s because of COVID” excuse only gets you so far; COVID doesn’t affect the cooking temperature of a meal and does not preclude table cloths.
Anyone at Seneca-Allegheny interested in how to present a Western Door should visit the Nation’s sister casino in Niagara Falls. They seem to understand how to reward customers spending their hard-earned money on an expensive dining experience.
Dinner was great as staff made sure all our requests were complete. Four of us ordered Steaks and all were done to perfection. Even the well done requests were very tender. Would highly recommend if you want some great food.
Not exactly what we expected. The food was good but I've had better food at half the price. It was loud and the service was not great.
Service was on point, responded quickly, all questions answered and food was very good
Birthday celebration. Had Surf & Turf and strip steak special. Food was excellent as always as well as the service. We just wish they’d bring back the beet salad.
We had the "date night" special which was prime rib, garlic mashed potatoes, vegetables, salad & rolls. It was dinner for 2 for $60 The food & service was excellent!
I was disappointed that favorite dishes were no longer available, but food was good and service excellent.
We loved our dinner there. Will definitely go again.
Food is amazing! The ambiance was nice, but the table setups do not appear to be as fancy as they can be. Food was fantastic though!
Wonderful meal. We both had surf and turf. FILET MELTED IN YOUR MOUTH! Always have a great meal there. Our favorite place to go.
Food was perfect. Servers were fantastic!
Western Door Steakhouse at Salamanca has terrific steaks and seafood ... I highly recommend the bone in Ribeye ... awesome steak !!!
My wife had sea bass again. She loves it here. I ordered the chicken carbonara w/ linguini. Great flavor, tender and large serving of pasta.
Food was amazing, service was wonderful. Highly recommend
Main dishes were executed perfectly, but every side was lukewarm (except the broccoli was a little warmer, but not hot). Room temp. Wierd, because we were early diners and no other patrons were there when we ordered.
The baked potato carousel of toppings was cute, but the shredded cheddar cheese was crispy like it was left out in the air for a while.
Overall, great service.
