Really good service and excellent food - second time there and will definitely go back when next in town
We had been a few years ago and knew it was good so decided to go with 2 close friends we had not seen for 2 years.
It was wonderful. Service was excellent and great advice and suggestions on sauces etc to accompany dishes.
All the food was amazing. The beef carpaccio was so thinly sliced it melted in your mouth. The Cote de beouff so tender and succulent. But pork chop, lamb and other started were a joy.
Very happy and would highly recommend for a lovely location in which to enjoy superb local produce cooked and prepared with love and great taste.
The venue and staff were very good. Food fell a little short with respect to mains. We had the Sunday Roast. Whilst it was generally ok, it didn’t appear to be cooked to medium at best - it was definitely over done. The Yorkshire’s weren’t too flash either. A lot of gastro-pubs would hands down beat the offering at the price point.
Food very good. Waiters forgot about us for iver 45 mins. Would have better rating from us if this had not happened.
Good portion size, good service, enjoyed our meal.
Wonderful ambience, food and friendly staff. A fabulous dining experience in the mosy beautiful venue.
A first-class restaurant, serving exceptional-quality food, but in a comfortable, relaxed and friendly atmosphere. Definitely worth a visit!
Excellent restaurant: French classics with a twist, great cellar and great service. You get what you pay for!
Very very good throughout. Food, wine, service, ambience.... Will definitely revisit.
made very welcome and staff helpful. presentation of food could be better but quality of food excellent.
Dining at The Warren was lovely. Everything was great; from the impeccable service to the excellent quality meal. Even the restaurant decor was fabulous. We’re not from the area but will certainly make an attempt to go back if ever in the area.
I booked a table for my brother and I, the food was absolutely beautiful, the staff were very attentive and friendly.
10/10 we had a lovely evening!
A very pleasant evening, the food was excellent and the service friendly and helpful. I would recommend The Warren to anyone who enjoys first class English food.
Excellent food and friendly service if a little slow probably because it was so busy. Always a great meal and lovely room. Strong recommend.
We had heard mixed reviews about the Warren. We had a palette cleanser shot which was pleasant then the croquettes which were good and the charcuterie plater which had some great piccalilli. For a main we had the rack of lamb and the Salad Nicoise with tuna. What I think let this down was the quality of the ingredients. It felt like the salad had been put together with a bag of mixed salad, the basic range tomato's and some olives out of a jar, all from the local supermarket. If this was a British Farm-to-table restaurant then I would hope that all the ingredients taste home grown. With something as simple as a Salad Nicoise the ingredients make and break the dish. This one felt like I could have put it together. It is often the details that give a restaurant it's reputation and we felt the service was OK - no attention to refilling our glasses, the ambience was OK - the tables felt a little close together in these Covid times and there were enormous cobwebs in the corners of the room, and the food was OK but let down by the quality of the ingredients.
Good choice of dishes with a French leaning. Good wine list with a few by the glass.
Ambience excellent although piano music a little on the loud side for us .
Lovely Friday night dinner for two on the terrace. Great food but wish the smokers had somewhere else to go.....
Went for a birthday dinner, great service and food was superb. Piano being played in the reception area was a lovely compliment to the experience.
Will be going back again.
A lovely evening, great service and food in a relaxed atmosphere.
Made exciting discoveries were and we much appreciated being back again.
Thank you for a wonderful evening we had fabulous time. The food was excellent as was the service.
I like the Warren and am very pleased to see it is still going strong after lockdowns. I have come to know the staff quite well, so the sometimes quirky service doesn't bother me. My advice would be, get to know them, they're incredibly friendly, enjoy the experience and definitely don't fret over an occasional slow response or confused order.
I have no hesitation in recommending the Warren.
We had a very tasty Sunday lunch chosen from a fixed price menu. The staff were very friendly and helpful.
Had a a great birthday celebration for my wife with the family. The staff were amazing. Food was excellent.
Surprised The Warren maintains itself the Micheline guide.
The ambience is nice...i kind of like the the old fashion yet kitch layout. Whilst there is nothing particularly wrong, given the price, the quality is not there. We experienced poor service too; arriving early for a pre dinner cocktail we had 4 people tell us someone will be with us; booked for 8pm we were sat at our table at 10 past; took some time again to order a drink and then the food. Starter was fairly prompt but nothing special and then our main did not arrive until 10 to 10! Extraordinary! Tastey but again not what you would expect from its reputation and supposed standard.
Before we could complain (we did not bother with desert) they did remove the gratuity from the bill and an extra £5...which though positive does not particularly make up for the experience.
This was our first night out for some time and for my wife's birthday. We were disappointedly left flat.
We had to wait 3/4 minutes at reception but we were a 5.45pm booking and my English sparkling wine was delayed in arrival but otherwise spot on
A favourite haunt or ours in Tunbridge Wells. A welcoming and happy experience, each time. Exceptionally delicious quality food (and wine (hic!)) with a knowledgeable and happy French Waiter. An ambience of eccentricity and an opportunity to dress up. Thank you!
It's a decent restaurant but nowhere near the standards expected from the prices. No idea how they are in the Michelin guide. Bog standard food that you could get at any local restaurant. Overall decent enough - nothing inedible! - but not worth the prices at all.
Great Sunday lunch for Father’s Day. Sat in the ambient orangery, fantastic menu and drinks, friendly personable service.
Fantastic, kooky little venue with friendly staff and delicious food.
Thoroughly enjoyed our Father's Day Sunday lunch and would most definitely visit again.
Thank you to the team for looking after us!
Starters and desserts are fairly good, main courses average pub food. Very Overpriced for the standard of the food.
Not sure how they are in the Michelin guide.
Good food served in pleasant surroundings . Excellent and attentive service.
Fab food and excellent service! A fantastic night out!
A little gem in the heart of Tunbridge Wells. Will be returning.
Absolutely love The Warren!!
Started with a lovely bottle of pink English sparkling wine, which was recommended when we sat down, it was gorgeous. Service amazing as was the food, love the fact that a lot of items on the menu are locally sourced. The rhubarb soufflé was unbelievably good!!
We tried the Warren this weekend after wanting to go there for some time and we were so disappointed. The interior is tired and shabby, the toilets were filthy! Waitresses were surly and had an attitude; for example I asked if they had a dry rosé and got simply raised eyebrows (as if to say “of course we have”) - no actual answer and she just walked off to get it. The food was tasty but not mind blowing - and when the bill is over £150 per couple it really ought to be. Regardless, the food couldn’t make up for the lack of ambience and care that you felt as a diner. Waste of money and a wasted evening. A real shame.
Great food and service. Only gripe that there were dinners walking around (from table to toilets) without wearing g face coverings. One set of 6 dinners came from the outside veranda to their table and only 1 was wearing a face mask. This would not appear to have been challenged!
Nice restaurant, great food. Could do with more service staff as service slowed down a lot when it got busy. Outside area also became quite noisy with lots of smokers. Would go again but sit inside.
We booked this for a family celebration. It was a fantastic evening. Oliver and Magdalena went out of their way to make it a wonderful. Oliver provided an excellent wine recommendation and the table staff were incredibly helpful. They surprised us with a birthday dessert at the end which finished the perfect evening.
The charcuterie and the beef were particularly delicious.
Ourchildren are keen to return very soon.
Everything was excellent, food, service, location can’t be improved!
