Perfect evening: unexpected, noticeably high quality ingredients (salmon, wild caught); a “best ever” rating from my picky husband on their signature chicken dish; attentive, intelligent service; responsive management when our tartufo arrived rather melted but we ate it anyway since it was so good - were given a free carrot cake to take home!

First and foremost, the food was very good. I had clams oreganata and the mussels and loved both. Son had clam chowder and butternut squash ravioli--both delicious. Husband had special beet salad and was disappointed (roasted beets were cold and goat cheese was spread on toast instead of incorporated); he ordered the steak sandwich and said was fine.
Wasn't sure if there was going to be a crowd since it was Saturday night and there were a lot of reservations available on Opentable. But, surprisingly, almost every table was full. Also surprising was that there was a live singer. Now, I am a huge fan of live music at restaurants, but mainly when it fits in with the vibe of the place and the volume is such that you can have conversation without yelling. We had to ask if they'd lower the volume of the singer and her recorded background music, which I believe they did, slightly. In terms of the style of music, I felt it cheapened the place. (She sang covers of everything including Disney tunes. Felt very karaoke.)
The service was excellent--my husband's vodka tonic didn't taste like tonic and they fixed that, plus they gave him a free drink and deducted 10% from the total bill.
Husband feels like you can't get a sense of what the restaurant wants to be--they're owned by Blackstone Steakhouse, but it's a more casual--yet still refined--setting and menu. However, maybe it was the style of the live singer that really threw us off.

This was such a wonderful evening. The menu had a lot of variety, the atmosphere was classic and lovely, the food was excellent and the service the right level of attentive.

We were there for dinner on Christmas Eve so it was pretty quiet (which was great.) The menu is nicely random. Service was very good. Our table was a little drafty by the right side along the windows. We’ll be back for sure.
