Excellent food and Fantastic service!
We were lucky enough to have a night out for dinner while my parents took our girls away on a holiday. The food was excellent, our steaks were cooked to perfection! The garlic and cheese pizza was delicious and the Chocolate hazelnut brownie was decadent. The staff were extremely attentive and our waitresses Wendy and Claire were friendly, bubbly and happy to check to see we were enjoying our night. The pub is family friendly and even caters for your family puppy! Highly recommended and we will be back again! Thanks got a lovely night! 10/10 from us! Cheers!
Always a pleasure to eat here. Great food and drink.
Wonderful food and attentive service, our table was left to sit on our coffees for an hour after lunch and not hurried away, which we really appreciated.
Not enough staff, and those behind bar were new and needed someone experienced to assist them on a busy Sat night. All very kind, just very understaffed.
Being a local, the Vic has become my ‘go to’ place even by myself sometimes. Lovely friendly staff, excellent food and within walking distance. Home from home.
Food and service was very good well priced overall a very good night was had
Had a pleasant evening, given the issues and the staff were very friendly and apologetic. The food was good but they forgot our entree, then brought the main while we were still eating the entree, said the chef didn't want to spoil the lamb, however this meant we didn't enjoy the lamb as much as we might have, particularly as the wine order did not arrive so we could drink it with the meal. Given this we would go again however we will think twice about going while COVID is around as the tables were too close and didn't allow for 1.5m distance between people seated.
Wonderful service, great food and relaxed surroundings!
The worst pizza and Parma I have ever had, zero quality to the food. The staff were lovely though
Parmigiana was dry and on top of the chips
My meal was quite tasty. I had the surf & turf Parma. It was quite noisy which made it difficult to have a conversation without talking loudly. The service was very good.
Good pub food. Meals are large. Service is friendly and attentive.
great service, easy to book, honest pub food, good portion value for money
We tend to visit whenever we can - ALWAYS GOOD! Service is amazing!
Helpful staff , great food and great service
Another great night at the Vic. Eight of us enjoyed excellent service and attention to detail.
Our first time at the venue. The staff were all very helpful and friendly and the food we had was excellent, especially the chicken and mushroom pie! A shout out to the waitress who lives in Riddell's Creek (forgot her name) as she was very accommodating on our first ever visit and even showed us upstairs when we enquired as to how the upper floor was set up. All in all an excellent experience and we shall return as soon as we move into the Town in early 2021.
The Mexican Parma was dry and tasteless, the chips were the same.
Nice place but Parma was a bit average as were the chips. Service was excellent.
A!ways enjoy coming here good food and friendly staff
The past few times that we have been have been a bit disappointing. The service isnt as good as it used to be. We have had to call for service. The food came in good time, but no offer of more drinks at any time or coffee or dessert. Also the food was a bit bland, I ordered the Asian Salad and it had no flavour. The other diners also commented on their meals being bland. Very disappointing as prior to Covid it was fantastic.
Great food, we had the market fish of the day (Snapper) and it was delicious. Fast friendly service.
Wonderful food, which arrived quickly great to have the kids fed first.
Unfortunately due to a last minute large group of diners the three wait staff were rushed off their feet so the usual wonderful service was lacking.
While parking is an issue the food menu was varied and plentiful choices for lunch. I had chicken shnitzel and my wife Barramundi. Tasty and well presented.
We had finished our drink well before our meal, so when our meals come we ordered them. To bad my boyfriend has finished his food before his drink even arrived.
So we literally had someone come take our order (food and drink once)
Nothing short of brilliant once again. Have never been let down with the food or service
Great food , big menu with lots options,
Quit setting and attentive customer service
Excellent service. Wide ranging menu with something for everyone. Food was very good. We will be back
Easy, relaxed, friendly staff. Good reliable food
We we’re ushered to our table drink order taken & offered water which didn’t arrive & our waitress got lost somewhere at least 20 minutes before we got someone’s attention to order our meal . Meal very nice but service disappointing though staff very friendly just need to be more observant of what’s going on it wasn’t that busy & all other tables had had orders taken & we’re being served already . Would recommend but let people know service could be slow 🥴
Overall good atmosphere. Could be improved 😁
Food was good quality pub food. Waitresses were polite, efficient and helpful.
I think my ‘star’ replies say all I need to say rather than write at length here.
Great service. Perfect ambiance for a country pub.
Enjoyed lunch at the Vic twice now in the last month. The menu is incredible and such a great range in selection. The food is just perfectly prepared and the portion size on the plate is the best around the Macedon Ranges at the moment. Staff are kind, responsive and thrilled to cater for your needs.
We honestly can't wait to eat there again. Thanks Vic Hotel Woodend.
Comprehensive menu, good food, good service, good location
Amazing experience, can't wait to return, thank you, Cathy& Georgia
Very enjoyable, very impressed with staff and quality of food
many thanks, cant wait to return
Our group of four enjoyed our dinner at The Vic. The staff are great as is the wine list full of tasty local wines. The food was a bit disappointing, but with better sides like a well dressed salad and a decent tartare sauce would have been a lot more interesting.
Great staff and always good food, we would recommend it for sure.
Solid pub meal without any pretentiousness. Service was very good.
