The regular kitchen was closed - but no one told us that. The food was mediocre.
Kitchen is being remodeled. Very limited menu. I am gluten free...very few food choices until kitchen reopens
The kitchen was largely closed and nothing on the menu that is on Open Table was available for dinner - bar snacks only for a dinner reservation. The management was not at all apologetic nor did they do anything to make up for the problem.
Food was all good, but service very slow and inattentive. Not busy but took 20 minutes to make drinks and then they were wrong and had to be sent back and redone.
Service was great! We went before a play at the Geffen.
Perfect for an easy and convenient pre movie snack. Food was okay.
The "Lounge" is just a few old chairs and paintings, but they have tried to
create a hip atmosphere. It was better before when it was a really good
restaurant with an excellent menu. The "Lounge" didn't do it for me.
Loved brunch here on a Sunday afternoon. The quiche and the French toast were fantastic. Decor is so fun and all the staff was so friendly. Absolutely loved it.
Service was great and food was also well done. and its next door to IPIC, Great for dinner and movie night .
We did a girls’ night here before going to the movies next door and we had a pretty good time. There was some issues with the food being cooked properly. They tried to fix it, but there was still an issue (hamburger not cooked at proper temperature). They are pretty pricey, but the food and drinks are food. Other than that, it was a great experience and our server was great.
Food was fine. Service was fine. Just fine.
The food was amazing at The Tuck Room Tavern. It was a Sunday evening so a little on the quiet side, which was nice. We had such a great waiter by the name of Alexandre, picture a younger Luke Evans. He was so sweet and recommended the perfect dishes. I would certainly recommend this place for either a quick drink before a movie, there are theaters located in the building, or a nice dinner out with friends or special one. This is right down the street from the Geffen Playhouse and something different than the normal fare offered near there.
I have had brunch twice. Sat outside both times. Great service, delicious food and overall enjoyable.
Better to sit outside than inside - too dark. But there were a lot of people enjoying it
we were able to sit outside in a shaded patio which was perfect. The waiter was great! Very attentive. Food was perfectly prepared and very tasty. Would definitely make this a pre-theatre brunch spot again.
Cocktails are definitely the highlight. The menu could use some lighter options.
Very cute place. Server was awesome. Food was GREAT. Definitely going back.
Great ambiance, excellent service, well-crafted drinks, and delicious food. The wagyu burger here is one of the best bergers I've had, which I've already gone back for twice. Great quality ingredients, especially the wagyu beef. Masterfully prepared, and tastefully presented.
The servers are friendly and know the menu well, they recommend the truly best food to try
Food was amazing! Can’t wait to go back.
I had the burger. It was truly a beast! Very good and huge portion.
They seated a large party of very loud young people very very close to us without considering the impact it would have on our small group of older people. We had to move twice before we could hear ourselves think. There was plenty of other places they could have been seated without bothering those of us who were already enjoying our meal
The kindest Belgian waiter helped us. Great drinks and the food is good. We were pleasantly surprised.
The environment was great, the food was good, however the flies were too much and we sat in the back. If the blinds to the patio are open, highly likely flies will come in - their were allot and very disruptive to my special evening. Disappointing to what would havr been a great evening.
Great food, great atmosphere and great service!
I had the French toast. It was delicious!
The service was terrible. Our food took about 1 hour to receive. We told them we have a movie to catch and still our food came out late. Also one of our guests received her food when we were almost done with ours. They gave us an appetizer on the house but that didnt help the situation. We asked for condiments with our meal and didnt receive them until we were almost done with our food. Told them there was a birthday in our party and they would bring out dessert but didnt receive it due to the movie. They said they would bring the dessert during our movie and didnt bring it. Timing was not done properly. Saying your too busy is not an excuse. It was not that busy. A system is needed in order to handle tables.
Awesome food, great atmosphere and we could hear each other without having to scream. Wait staff was very accommodating
I only experienced the iPic theatre once and was fortunate enough to be treated to food, drink and popcorn from Tuck Room. Went there before a Geffen Playhouse event the other day, had a good cocktail (pomegranate margarita) and a fantastic glass of their home vineyard wine -- Pinot Noir, and it was excellent. Didn't hurt that our lovely waiter Alex poured it -- quite generously. Anyway service is good, warm and friendly, the salads we had were very good (Cobb, no bacon; chicken/farro) and all in all it's a good meeting spot for anything in Westwood Village. 4 stars.
The overall experience st The Tuck room was pleasant. The ambiance and service was great . The salmon puffs were delicious. The breakfast was not all that pleasing. I had the short rib with the soft poached egg with mascarpone and kale. The dish was not seasoned well and tasted rather bland. The three others in our party found the food tasty. We will try this place again because it’s worth giving it another chance for the other positive experiences.
It was generally lovely. However, what kind of “full-service” bar doesn’t have dry vermouth in hand for martinis? That was a first! The Brussels sprouts appetizer was fantastic, if a bit surprisingly sweet, and the wait staff and ambiance couldn’t have been nicer.
The food was good. But it was the staff that made the difference. Julian was awesome to make sure that i got a dish that wasn't on the menu. And our server, i am sorry i forget his name was very friendly and attentive.
Meet up with a friend and we both LOVE this place.
It’s perfect for anybody 👍🏽💕🥰
Delicious food, nice drinks and amazing location.
Some may debate my 5-star rating for "Value" because the Tuck Room is a bit pricey, but here is my basic reasoning: You get what you pay for! We've gone to the Tuck Room for New Years Eve, Easter, and Mother's Day for a couple years now and the food, ambiance and service is excellent and the overall experience have never disappointed. We even had our baby shower there and it was a huge success in large part to the awesome folks at the Tuck Room. The craft drinks and food is so good that the wife and I will occasionally walk in to the Tuck Room just to order their Wagyu Burger to go and have a drink while we wait for it.
Unbelievably noisy. Made a reservation but, upon arrival, told (after waiting 5 mins. for someone to show up at hostess station) that it didn't matter and it would be 30-40 mins. before my party (of only 2!) would be seated. After some struggle with host, which involved declining the high-top seats in bar-which I had specifically not selected when making reservation-we were seated in outside area which was cold, but quieter. The service was slow, but the server was attentive when available. The food was excellent, but I will not go back. The decor and ambience were unimpressive, and there are too many great restaurants in L.A. to "settle" for this.
We had Sunday brunch there and it was very nice; I had only been there at night prior to this, but the brunch was great & my whole family enjoyed it
Since it opened the Tuck Room Tavern has become our go to place for everything from a date night to Easter/Mother's Day Brunch and has never disappointed. We even held our daughter's baby shower there and it was a huge success.
The staff is like family, the food is to die for and the crafted cocktails are sublime. We are so fortunate to have such a great place so close to us that we can walk there!
Our family really enjoyed the Easter brunch and have already made reservations for the Mother's Day brunch for our family. Looking forward to enjoying that day at your restaurant.
great place! Great food... will be back for sure.
The noisiness was probably related to our table! Had a lovely meal (really good brussel sprouts!), good service, interesting cigar bar vibe. Would definitely go back.
