   Everyone in our dinner party of 4 found everything about this restaurant to be top notch. We have absolutely no complaints & will definitely be visiting many times again in the future. The food was great as well as the ambiance. The employees were very nice.

   Wonderful restaurant, first time in Richmond and so happy we picked this restaurant for dinner. The interior is beautiful, and love the historic nature of the building. Food was fantastic

   This was our wedding anniversary dinner. The service was good and atmosphere was just ok. For the price I expected much more than wag was offered. They served frozen dinner rolls to start and the appetizer we ordered was ok but nothing outstanding and the presentation we could have gotten at a lower grade restaurant anywhere. The steaks we ordered were ok by the cut of meats were really fatty and not much steak. At 44.00 a piece we were disappointed. We will not return here again.

   Our server was very attentive and the atmosphere was terrific. Entrees are $30 plus and the food did not meet that standard. I have been to the Tobacco Company many times over the years for special occasions and have been very satisfied other than this visit.. The service and atmosphere is still one of the best in Richmond. The food quality for money paid has gone down hill. The food needs improvement.

    Live music was great, but would have been better with lower volume. Couldn’t talk during dinner—hard to hear each other. Food was seasoned and cooked well. Prices r high bec high end restaurant and quantity and quality pretty good for value, but both could have been a little more to make a better value despite the caliber of restaurant. Server was great, but like some other reviewers said, he tried to clear some of our plates before we were done eating and cause we saw other reviewers we aggressively stopped him and finished our food. Otherwise, server was nice and did a great job.

    Everyone should try this place at least once. We have been eating here for many years. It's over a 4 hour round trip drive, but well worth it.

    The restaurant ambiance and service were great but our food was not worth the money. My steak was over cooked as well as the Brussels that came with it. My husbands prime rib was ok, just not a lot of flavor. Maybe a better choice for just drinks.

    The good news is we were given a free meal since a rib eye was 50% fat. The waiter was unconcerned and uncommunicative when we raised the question. He constantly asked for us to repeat our requests, and seemed not to understand us. We had him as a server before and he was excellent, but he was totally different almost to the point of being rude . Thank you for comping us on the rib-eye.

    The restaurant was very nice...service was great. I had the 12 Oz prime rib....waiter took my plate when I was done and 3/4 of prime rib was on plate...he never even asked how my food was. The prime rib had a peppercorn crust all around the cut of meat and was terrible. The menu says it is what they are famous for as a steak house. They do not even mention that the prime rib is coated outside with this disgusting peppercorn cruel. The baked potato came with the prime rib....that's it a baked potato....cut...nothing else.

    We enjoyed our anniversary dinner that consisted of a starter of shrimp cocktail and entree of prime rib, baked potato and green beans and entree of filet, mashed potatoes and asparagus. Everything was prepared just as requested and tasted delicious. The server was attentive. We enjoyed the ambiance of the restaurant and relatively low noise level for the amount of people sitting around us. We will return!

    Overall we really enjoyed our dinner. I was a bit disappointed when I ordered two different beers from the menu and both were unavailable. I hate to be teased with great beers and then have to settle for overpriced mediocre beers.

    The steak was excellent however I suggest you do not order the crab cakes or meatloaf. Lesson learned about ordering something other than steak at a steak house.
