Attentive and polite service, well priced and very generous serving sizes of beautifully cooked food.
Great food, service and location. Thoroughly recommend it.
Very good dinner. I reserved a table for my parents for dinner and they were very happy with service and food
The service was excellent after a slow start. The table all enjoyed their meals, and the cocktails were readily available. Would have enjoyed a better view as table and down the back, but this was not a massive issue. Overall a lovely was had, price was fair.
A Well situated fine dining institution in Williamstown with a loyal customer following
Overall disappointing...food was okay but table service was slow and poor.
Expect more for price paid.
Amazing location for a romactic dinner. Service was excellent, a special shout put to Vu for his personalized service!
Fantastic food and ambience. Expensive but overall worthwhile.
Service, food and location was fantastic. Will be back again.
Great Service, quality Food, lovely views of Melbourne CBD. It's not in expensive, but quality of produce is cooked to perfection.
food quality was terrible. For entree had oysters (natural) and the scallops. Oysters were not fresh and watery as if they had been frozen for awhile. Scallops were chewy and sauce was nothing to write home about. For mains my partner had the steak special which was $65 for mainly gristle and fat, almost no meat on it. I had the mussels ... how can you stuff up mussels!!! they were the worst I have ever had. Again, chewy and the broth was horrible pairings of watery herbs and large cubes of bacon .. uneatable!! The pace hasn't changed in many years ... beautiful setting and terrible, poor quality food that's overpriced ... never again!
Friendly staff, great food and fantastic view's - highly recommended
Very disappointing as we were looking forward to the 1kg mussels dish and they had run out by 7:30pm when we were seated at our table .
Food was superb.
Staff in kitchen and front of house attentive to dietary requests.
Great timing with the service, even when busier.
Great views and overall highly recommended dining venue.
Only drawback was we were seated inside and it was unbelievably warm - it was actually cooler outside and it was a warm day.
Great selection of beverages and non-alcoholic options for designated drivers.
We celebrated a 91st birthday lunch and on a Tuesday, so the restaurant was very quiet, which was lovely. The service was outstanding. The waiter recommended wine for us and they also accommodated some specific dietary requirements. The view out to the water with the boats was lovely, even with all the smoke from the bushfires in country Victoria. Would highly recommend.
My husband and I enjoyed a seafood platter and it was amazing. So fresh and lots of seafood.
The service was great
Service friendly, however seafood platter wasn't as fresh. Scallops were tiny and not juicy and crab felt like it wasnt fresh but frozen (mushyish meat)
Long wait for service after being seated. Seriously overcooked salmon and poor quality food overall.
Outstanding friendly and prompt service.
Generous meal portions and extremely enjoyable.
We loved the bright open feel of the restaurant, with views across to the city. Service was friendly, intuitive and well versed on all aspects of the appealing menu and wine options. The flounder was excellent, simply prepared with incredible flavour. My friend tried the lamb, said it was the best he had ever eaten.
We will definitely be returning,as this restaurant unlike many others, ticks all the boxes.
Whilst we had a lovely time, food was good but definitely not warranting the prices. We ordered a good medley of dishes and we all agreed they were just okay. Fairly ordinary presentation. Sort of old international, chunky and confused.
Not sure if restaurant feels the proximity to water makes it special enough no need to be outstanding with food. ??? As I was not drinking cannot comment on wine selection.
One exception was the saganaki with figs... brilliant.
Service friendly and prompt enough.
Yes it was a disappointing choice that I made.
Food was great and service too, also best Mojitos we've ever had. only annoyance was being seated at a corner table where one had view of the water and other had view of the roundabout, it wasn't packed and I just wonder why they didn't seat the lady on her own at the corner table and us at her table.. at least then all 3 of us would of had water views.
Lovely meal , beautiful scenery over looking the bay,
Good location overlooking the city.
A bit expensive
The food was delicious and the ambience was quiet and relaxing
Enjoyable evening, wonderful service and great food, thank you.
Fabulous food and very considerate service, willing to alter the menu to accomodate food allergies. Beautiful location, lovely fine dining experience.
Beautiful food and friendly staff. We were well accommodated as it was a large group.
Service impeccable, meals were delicious, views outstanding, location onpoint. We caught the ferry from Southbank to Williamstown and chose to book at The Strang based on the reviews to celebrate our sons birthday. We loved the entire experience and The Strand was well worth the visit. Highly recommended.
Really nice restaurant with great food in a lovely location. The express menu was excellent value for money.
I ordered the lamb dish which was quite expensive - $56 - and the meat was overcooked. I sent the lamb chops back which was no problem, but got 2 smaller lamb chops that were just as overcooked. There were no apologies. While the restaurant itself is lovely, I would not recommend it to friends
We like to lunch here with friends as it is consistently good for food, service and ambience.
Very dissapoibtung service with a waiter that was useless . Ordered a tall latte and he brings a soy latte . Spent 285 dollars on a useless terrible 2 main meal and 2 starter course . Never again
very attentive wait staff, good recommendations. the duck papadelle, the wagyu and the lamb were excellent! extensive wine list!
If you love seafood then this is the place to go! We shared the stack, a seafood platter like no other. Everything on the platter was delicious, but very individual in taste (sometimes seafood can just blend into more of the same ... not this one!). Highly recommended for great food, good service and friendly atmosphere.
The staff were so friendly and so pleasant. I have been going there for the last 4 times and it is amazing. The food was cooked to perfection and also being V & GF the chef cooked to my liking. Thank you to all and looking forward to my next booking. 😃
Food was great and a great location. Highly recommended.
Food and service were great! Went there for a wedding anniversary lunch and cannot fault anything will recommend to friends.
We had an afternoon overlooking the water with the sun shining it was a perfect day with the seafood platter and a lovely bottle of wine, so delicious and enjoyed every minute of the day.
The picture of the food/meal and the reality matched very well.
