The Stone Manor 101
The Stone Manor 101 is an American steakhouse with a flair for the dramatic. This restaurant that pays close attention to minor details that make dining experiences memorable. Every time someone leaves the table, a waiter will come by to refold the napkins. If guests are enjoying a multiple-course meal, the silverware is quickly replaced between each service. The theatrics carry over into food presentation as well. When serving the seafood bisque, the server pours broth over the bowl of clams at the table.
That is not to say that The Stone Manor 101 is solely concerned with style. All the meats are brought in from a local butcher, and produce is procured from nearby farms. Stone Manor cocktails are prepared with fresh ingredients too. When a guest orders a screwdriver, the orange is pressed right at the bar.
Food was delicious... will definitely be back.
We were there for Valentine's Day. We had the swordfish which was at best average. The fish had a fishy taste, as if it was frozen and not fresh. The noise level was quite high and service was mediocre. They could have used more servers.
The prix fixe was a great deal. Steak was delicious as was Lobster Ravioli and bread pudding was Yummy
It’s better on the weekend !
The steaks were cooked perfect medium rare. Service was good.
Good place to go for dinner or to have a party.
The food and service w3ere excellent. The only problem was that in our party of 4 one main course arrived at the table cold.
Food was delicious and certainly get bang for your buck here! Service was a little slow, especially with wine service. Could possibly be because they were understaffed that night.
We've eaten here several times and have always found Stone Manor to be an excellent value for the food you get. On our last time out, I ordered a skirt steak, perfectly cooked to order, along with two ample and delicious sides, brussels sprouts and creamed spinach. There's a choice of sauces, but the steak was so flavorful it didn't need any. A great deal at $26. Even the Porterhouse for two was a deal at $80. You could pay a lot more at other steak houses, but you won't necessarily get more.
Excellent food and outstanding service as well as great value with Local Flavor.
We were very disappointed in our dining experience at Stone Manor. This was the second time we visited and there was a marked decline in the experience from the first visit. There was no flare about any aspect of the restaurant- the service was mediocre at best, the food was ok, but simply slapped on the plate and the wine by the glass offerings were appalling. We will not be returning.
We were 8 people eating there for New Year’s Eve. Our waiter was excellent as was the food (as it always is) however, the table behind us was extremely drunk (I believe they were friends with the bartender which is why they were drinking so excessively) and excessively loud. They were banging on the table, throwing food and ended up dropping 2 full drinks off the table with the glass and sticky liquid flying everywhere, including on my coat. The waiter gave us a round of drinks to apologize...he was flabbergasted! The manager never came over, even though we asked for him multiple times, until the drink dropping incident. We asked to have our table moved for dessert and he complied. When the group at the other table realized we asked to be moved they all started singing “dreidel, dreidel, dreidel”.... I cannot tell you how disgusted and sick our party felt and how our lovely evening and New Year’s celebration was ruined! To hear such a blatant display of anti-semitism right to our faces was heinous! These sub-human people should have been asked to leave immediately. We were moved for our dessert into another room and when the “apes” left they marched by our table with their New Year’s blowers and horns once again singing the dreidel song. We were respectful of the other diners and the restaurant staff and did not make a scene or respond. However, I do feel the 8 of us and our friends and family will not feel comfortable dining in this establishment again or Casa Rina which I understand is their other establishment as well. It’s a shame in 2020 that there is still so much hate in the world but if establishments such as this restaurants chose to put up with it then it will never go away...
Consistently great food. Wonderful service. Great drinks
I have been there a number of times. We usually order the porterhouse steak for 2. It includes 2 sides and in my opinion it is a good deal. The steak is always tasty and tender.
Always great service and unique tastes in all of their dishes.
Food was good !
Arrived early for our reservation and we were seated right away. Wait staff was very efficient and pleasant. Food was delicious we all had the Filet Mignon and everyone was cooked to perfection. Would definitely go recommend
The food was good and the place has a pleasant atmosphere. The night we were there they were very busy so the service was not as quick as it usually is but was still good.
Great food at great prices
Consistently great food. Great waitstaff. Good drinks. Diverse menu.
We appeared to be the first reservation for Thanksgiving lunch. Service staff seemed ready and happy to see us. Special menu offered lots of options appropriate for the occasion! Portions were generous; we ate our leftovers that night! Location was convenient for hiking Rockefeller State Park and Kensico Dam pre- and post meal.
A great place! Excellent steak and salmon. Service and staff are always pleasant and professional. We come here quite often.
I had the Cabernet Sauvignon and my husband had an extra dirty martini and they were great. The food was good. I had the short ribs and my husband had the Osso Buco. The service lacked in the sense where you got the impression the waitstaff was there to do their jobs and not much more. I said "thank you" got no response. The hostess went around lighting candles. When she got to our table she didn't greet us or acknowledge our presence. We weren't busy talking, so it was a little awkward when she wouldn't look at us or just say hello. They weren't rude, just not very engaging.
Otherwise, if you just want good food and great drinks, you may want to give the place a try.
First time here, based on reviews expected so much more. Arrived early for our reservation, seated immediately. First choice of wine was out of stock. Service was initially okay, but then as the place filled up, it was more of a challenge. Entrees were okay. Swordfish was cooked perfectly but flavorless. Same for my date's salmon. Cooked as ordered but bland. Side of garlic mashed was literally mashed potatoes with a couple of sliced garlic cloves wedged into it. Since this was a first-time visit, I'll defer to other reviewers but this was not what I expected based on other reviews.
We go to Stone Manor often. My office has also hosted wonderful holiday parties there. The food is always excellent, the value is outstanding and Michael, the owner, most gracious.
Stone Manor 101 is great! The setting is warm and inviting and the food is delicious and uses the freshest ingredients. There were four of us. I had the mini filet which was a very nice size and cooked to perfection. Two other people had the salmon and were extremely satisfied. The fourth person had a club sandwich and was so happy with it! All of us loved the sides: garlic mash potato, mac and cheese, creamed spinach, maple glazed Brussel sprouts. The salmon came with julienne vegetables and was said to be delicious! Desserts were just as nice. Cannot fault Stone Manor 101, they deliver a top experience.
we love this restaurant... the food and service are very consistent.
this place is a huge endeavor - clearly great for any & many special events - the food was well prepared and nicly presented - we used a discount coupon thankfully as their pricing was on the high side - they hopefully should have a long run - the only problem is they're quite a schlepp from where we live in lower westchester - it is worth the investment of your time and money - go check them out
the food was excellent.
we got meatballs to start that I shared with my daughter. They were so soft and delicious. The sauce was great too. I ordered Skirt Steak well done. It was cooked perfect. It was still so tender, didn't even need the sauce I ordered with it. Mu husband got the prime rib. He loved it it was huge portion. Both of our meals came with 2 sides. So much food we took everything home. Would definitely come back again.
Food & drinks excellent. The place is immaculate-great ambience. Service & reception was not great. It took awhile to be seated and another long time before any service. Seems to be short staffed when there were only a few patrons in the place! But overall I liked the place and would go back again.
Nice and quiet during the day, good for conversations
Great place. Love it every time we go, from the service to the food, to the environment. Everything and everyone is wonderful
The raw seafood was excellent, so much so that I made it my main course, opting for a Caesar salad to start. The salad was enough for 2 and they served 2 halves to different people. The romaine was crisp, the anchovies a welcome ingredient and the dressing delish. The raw bar is by the piece, so I had 2 colossal shrimp, 1/4 pound lump crab meat, 3 blue point oysters and 2 clams - - all yummy. Others opted for salads or raw bar appetizers and a main was shared by the other couple. Everyone was happy. The dining room is large, but attractive, wood and stone, and few were present when we arrived on a Sat. night at 7:00pm. When we left at 8:45 the room was more full, but not crowded. The noise level was very comfortable without the loud din so common in other large restaurants. The parking lot was full to the brim due to a banquet in a separate room. No noise overflow and the valet made parking easy. The wine list was good and the cocktail selection adequate. We opted for dessert at home. Everyone thought the value was good, especially with the $60 Groupon we had purchased for $30. We will return.
As always food was fabulous and fresh. However disappointed in service. Of the five at our table, one order was wrong. WAited far too long for correct dish. Waitress made no effort to hurry the new meal and didn’t come back to table to check on our meals the entire time
So many great choices, and their flavoring is unique.
We arrived during the Happy Hour. Our two drinks each was less then $20, a real deal. There were 2 large parties going on at the same time. Very unusual for a Thursday night. Our service was still good. The food was good and the cost was reasonable. I would recommend it and would go back again.
Much better than Casa Rina. Large place with steaks, burgers, sandwiches, fish dishes. Overall I enjoyed my meal and would return.
food always good but service once again less than desirable
very disappointing when there is very few diners and you still cant find your waiter
and you have to wait so long for service
It was HVRW so a special price fixed menu was available. The petite filet mignon was excellent. Appetizers and dessert were very good.
Our steaks were cooked to perfection. our Caesar salads were excellent but if you don’t like anchovies ask them not to put them on the top. Fair priced. Would definitely go back again
the food was great and the waitress was great, but the rest of the staff was just OK
