The Social House - Arlington
My boyfriend and I had a great time celebrating our anniversary.
I believe our server was Jules, she was training a guy while serving us and she was excellent and has great recommendations.
I’m sure its normally is way busier on the weekends, but we came on a Tuesday night and it wasn’t to bad!
We loved the mimosa flight! Definitely getting that again. Brunch was delicious.
The cocktails and appetizer were great. The one issue I had and it’s kind of a big deal with the current state we are living in is that I found a big red lipstick print on the rim of my soft drink glass. I was not wearing lipstick and so when I noticed it I was immediately grossed out. I had already taken several drinks, luckily from a straw. But this tells me that the glass wasn’t washed or not properly washed. I did tell the server and he replaced it and apologized. I didn’t press the issue or tell the manager however I should have.
Great service!! All staff observed their Covid protocols and advised guests to follow them as well. Quality of food and service didn’t suffer at all because of these added safety measures.
Great place. Nice servers. Good food. Excellent location.
The waitress was lost and all over the place. She was slow on serving our table. She over charged our bill. The manager tried to be a bit rude in her defense when she was in the wrong. She lost my money for my bill and came back to asked me to pay again. The food was good and freshly hot I can’t take that away from the restaurant.
This place is my new favorite! The atmosphere is awesome, every entree and appetizer I’ve tried has been absolutely delicious, and their drinks are top notch. My boyfriend, and I, went for brunch with his adult kids on Father’s Day. We sampled each other’s meals and it was all so good that he and I came back for dinner the next night! Every member of the waitstaff we have had has given impeccable service, as well. They suggest great items, bring out sauces they think you might enjoy, and even let you sample a few drinks before you make a choice. They just seem to sincerely care about your experience, more than ANY place I’ve ever been. Check them out, you will not be sorry! Jewels is the best!!
The only minor opp for improvement is the batter used for onion strings and fried pickles was a little too light on salt. They were both good, but if the battery had a little more salt, they'd be perfect. Now, on the other hand, my peppercorn filet was amazing, as were my daughter's ribs, which literally fell off the bone, all of them. My oldest had grilled cheese and tomato bisque and she too was very pleased. Others in our party also enjoyed their meals. The portion sizes were generous and the service was superb!
Excellent service, wonderful appetizer and and entree’s were great.
We came here as a place for friends to visit and catch up.
A bit noisy, friendly server but sketchy.
Ordered fish and chips (both of us) but they had run out.
Ordered a margarita pizza and pulled pork nachos.
Pizza came out cold (even for a thin pizza it should have been hot), the pot nachos were a bag of potato chips piled 10” high on a plate with a small scoop of pork, a “slight” avocado drizzle and some other drizzle, again, hard to see.
Server was friendly but forgetful, food very forgettable and setting a bit loud for lots of intimate conversation.
Great food and atmosphere. Very friendly service
Food did not measure up to description on yelp and just mediocre at best
We went for Valentines Day and everything was nice except for the food. We had the chicken fried chicken, masked potatoes and asparagus. It was a little bland but overall nice experience. Dessert was great (chocolate cheesecake & wild berry pound cake) appetizers were great as well, (bruschetta & spicy Angry shrimp) Our waiter was excellent! The drinks were delicious!
Valentine’s Day was perfect. This small intimate setting was nice. I had the margarita float with add peach snaps. DELICIOUS!!!!!
Friendly staff. Food is just average. Execution of serve is below average. When we arrived they asked if we had a reservation (which we did) and they said they needed to clean off a table. Another couple walked in behind us and another hostess help them and sat them immediately. After seating the couple, she came to us and said I don’t know she did give you that table “maybe she didn’t see it”. We ordered appetizers, our main course came out prior to our appetizer, we let them know we had not received our appetizer, they asked if they should leave our main course, then before we replied they said they better leave it so it would not get cold. Appetizers came out when we were half way through our main course. While eating we received a call from one of the hostess at the restaurant to inform us we missed our reservation time and wanted to know if we were going to be coming. I informed her we are at the restaurant already eating. The reply was “Oh, guess someone forgot to check you in”. When we got the appetizer it was not as we expected. The menu said they shrimp appetizer had 3 shrimp, we only received 2. When we pointed this out the waiter he made up an excuse and said he could get us another one (we never got it). Dessert was very good.
Celebrating my 44th birthday. The food and drink was delicious the service was great !
Received great service, enjoyed great food/drinks and had an overall pleasurable dining experience. We'll be back.
Amazing energy, service and food. I had the braised pulled pork over greens and potatoes!!! Yes!
We really had a great time and the food was awesome!
If you're going for brunch, absolutely make reservations or your wait time will be about an hour, with no room at the bar. Otherwise it's fun, good food and drinks.
Immediate seating and warm greeting. We had two main dishes. One was excellent, the other was average and not prepared as requested.
Server was a little impulsive and did not provide any additional service such as refilling water glasses after main dish plates were removed.
Service could have been better. New Year’s Eve menu only option sucked.
New Years Eve!
530pm dinner on a Monday. We chose our seats and had a great server. Once we ordered we didn’t ask for anything else. They’re that attentive. Had the chicken fried chicken — it’s a winner!
The food was really good. The drinks even better. Our waitress was very nice and never left us unattended. Over all I’d recommend this place. Will be great in the summer for outdoor dining.
This is sports bar with upscale dining. However, this restaurant has a serious gnat problem.🤔
Overall food was pretty good but one of our steaks was under cooked. Nice to have a local scratch kitchen.
Service was disorganized. 2 different wait staff tried to take our orders and did not seem to know that other had done so. They did not explain what the drinks on the flight were and just read back to me what was on the menu. There were several flies around our table and the bar. Will not return or recommend.
We were a bit surprised that both eggs benedict meals we ordered only came with one half of an English muffin and one egg. Every benedict meal we've ordered had two eggs, one on each muffin half, but the meals we're priced as those we'd received two eggs. When we asked for ketchup, it took 20 minutes to get and only received a small side for the both of us. Had we known, we'd asked for two side. Instead we split it so it we wouldn't have to wait again. We had two waitress for some reason. Both we're very nice and have not complaints about them, but we weren't quite sure how this improved service and attentiveness. With two waitresses, we shouldn't have had to wait so long for the ketchup and it wasn't even out waitress who brought it to us. I did like the feel of the place and all the food drink looked very appealing.
My boyfriend and I are in town for a football game. We wanted to find a nice spot to watch the UFC/boxing matches and eat good food. We took a chance with the Social house and we can’t complain. The vibe was great for a Saturday night. Food was tasty and the drinks were great.
The food was great as always. Our server was not as attentive as she could’ve been. Another server for another table actually stepped in to assistance us several times, so much so we give him a tip.
This food was average at best! I would not recommend this place to anyone!
Food was ok but lacked some flavor. The price point was ok since the portions were huge. I would come back for happy hour
This was our first visit to Social House in Arlington. Food and service were excellent. There was a rather large group of people seated next to us. Not normally a big deal, but they had a group of 4-5 kids watching a movie on an iPad. Also, not normally a big deal, but they had the volume turned all the way up, which made having a conversation at our table a little difficult.
Love it!!!! Would come back for sure, maybe on a date night
Went at 11 am on a Saturday. Not a lot people at all which made for great conversation with my friend. Service was great. Food was excellent.
The meatloaf dinner was great! Servers were very friendly and the place was very clean.
Good location, crappy staff and food was not as good as Fort Work location.
Nothing really stood out to me. It’s a good place and I do recommend.
It was lovely. Our waitress was so kind and accommodating. Definitely coming back
