Gordon Ramsay's The Savoy Grill, located within the famous Savoy hotel on the Strand, offers a truly opulent dining experience. It has hosted some of the world's most famous faces, making it the definition of 'gourmet glamour'.

Balancing style with substance, the Art Deco interiors hark back to the roaring 20s. The fabulous menu features British favourites, such as Beef Wellington, with a French touch appearing in dishes such as Apple Tarte Tatin.

Alongside the main dining room, guests also have the option to book the Kitchen Table, or the upstairs Private Dining Room which has views across the front of the Savoy.

We had a table of 5 on Saturday evening and I can only say what a fabulous experience. The food was wonderful and the wine was divine only enhanced by the whole decanting experience. This was a meal celebrating our daughters birthday and she will remember this for a while. Our heartfelt thanks.

We had an excellent dinner at the Savoy Grill to celebrate my mother's 75th birthday. The quality of food was excellent, especially the steaks. The service was helpful and attentive. At the end, they brought to the table a dish with a celebratory inscription, which was a nice touch.

First visit for pre Theatre Dinner. Wouldn't normally pay this price for 2 courses but the service, well dressed and efficient staff plus calm atmosphere were definitely worth the price. We will be returning -
no doubt about it.

We had a lovely evening. The service was outstanding and the food great. The restaurant was quite busy but never too noisy and we were treated like honoured guests even though we were just having the pre theatre menu. Lovely and great value

Excellent service but a bit tired in appearance. The food is well up there and to Gordon Ramsey's usual standards. The much menu of £31 for two courses or £35 for two gives you the impression that this will be a (relatively) cheap meal - believe me, it won't. By the time you have added a bottle of wine (none of which are cheap) a bottle of sparkling water and the cover charge (a "cover charge" in this day and age? I ask you!) plus the 12.5% optional service charge (you couldn't deny the staff as their contribution is well worth it) you will end up paying northwards of £150 - for lunch. For lunch probably not really worth it. For lunch at the Savoy Grill? Probably, just about. I think the wine is overpriced (there should be some cheaper options just for lunch) and a cover charge (of £2 per head) seems Scrooge-like. How anyone can justify charging you just for turning up and sitting down is beyond me - this should be ditched.

I was treating my brother and family to a special meal for his 60th birthday celebration. We started the evening at the Adelphi theatre, and I decided that The Savoy Grill would be the perfect end to the celebrations. We had a luke warm greeting on arrival. We sat at a very nice round table for six people and were given the menus. I was given the wine list. As I am familiar with English sparkling wine, I decided to order a bottle of London Cru Rosebery Ave- in front of all my guests, the Sommelier said that he wouldn’t order that wine and he would recommend the Paul Roger champagne. I replied and said I’m very happy with my choice. He replied and said well I shouldn’t be ordering that and I should order the Pol Roger. I stuck with my choice I was very happy. This particular Sommelier was intent on making sure that I had made the incorrect decision throughout the meal. My guests felt uncomfortable and I was extremely embarrassed. The food was okay, but way overpriced. I didn’t mention anything to the waiter regarding the 60th birthday celebrations until we ordered some coffee, and he said he would bring some ‘petit four’ along with the coffee for us to enjoy. Well, we are still waiting for those...

The best part of the evening was walking around the entrance hall and communal areas of The Savoy hotel and making use of the washrooms.

I wouldn’t recommend this restaurant to anybody. The Delaunay around the corner is much better.

First class location and setting. The staff were amazing, attention to detail is everything and the difference between good and top class is the service...... the staff at the Savoy Grill are experts at this.
The food was faultless, beautifully presented and very tasty.

Food outstanding, price was probably ok for this sort of dinning we eat from the pre theatre menu with extra chips and veg which to be fair we should only have ordered to share rather than each as quantity was good , left feeling full , only criticism was we phoned ahead to make sure of dress code and were told no trainers, flip flops shorts etc so we followed as said and when we got there there was people in with said items on ,, but other than that well worth the visit

Table was not ready at 8.45pm and had to wait 45 minutes - would of been longer if I had not got the manager involved.
Food was overpriced and very average - front desk staff were clueless and could not provide any answers to my questions.
Overall - this was my 3rd and final visit.
The manager did give us 3 glasses of champagne which I appreciate but it did still not help with the way I feel about the experience -

It was a pleasant fine dining experience for my daughter and I . We enjoyed the 7 courses dinner.. except for the cheese.. maybe Savoy grill could suggest alternative choice to guests like us who are not really a cheese lover.

Staff at the Savoy were incredibly professional and welcoming. We had a 'pre-theatre' deal, be aware the steak is a £20 supplement. It was worth it! It was a lovely birthday treat and I'd do it again.

My family and I had an absolutely amazing meal at the Savoy Grill. We booked an early reservation (5:30pm) because we have two little ones and are leaving very early tomorrow for the airport. We arrived and were very warmly greeted by the staff. They went out of their way to make our kids (3.5, 6yr) feel welcomed as well. While a children’s menu isn’t advertised we heard Gordon Ramsey’s restaurants are almost all child friendly.

The service, the wine and the food exceeded our expectations in every way. I had the confit chicken and ham hock pie and can attest that it’s in my top ten meals I’ve eaten in my life. We eat at some great places and enjoy meals from many different regions of the world, and I am telling you this meal is UNREAL!
All around fantastic flavors and textures from the warm ham/chicken filling to the flakey pastry and tart/sweet red cabbage. So delicious and comforting.
My little ones both enjoyed pasta with a cream tomato sauce and then ice cream. Perfect options for picky littles.

We also happen to be staying at the hotel and can attest that this is a super unpretentious but absolutely beautiful 5 star hotel that is very family friendly.

Given the price and reputation, maybe our expectations were set to high. Service was excellent and the ambiance was very good, but the food was a little disappointing. Honestly, for a hundred pounds less we had a far better dinner in a vibrant and relaxed atmosphere at Dean Townhouse in SoHo.

The steaks were good but have had better at other Gordon Ramsey restaurants (in Vegas). There was a small issue with my steak being more "cooked" than a medium rare. It was immediately taken care of and the floor manager made sure everything else was good from then on.
