Gordon Ramsay's The Savoy Grill, located within the famous Savoy hotel on the Strand, offers a truly opulent dining experience. It has hosted some of the world's most famous faces, making it the definition of 'gourmet glamour'.

Balancing style with substance, the Art Deco interiors hark back to the roaring 20s. The fabulous menu features British favourites, such as Beef Wellington, with a French touch appearing in dishes such as Apple Tarte Tatin.

Alongside the main dining room, guests also have the option to book the Kitchen Table, or the upstairs Private Dining Room which has views across the front of the Savoy.

Loved this place. Service was excellent (they accommodated me after a freak downpour) and we're very attentive. The food was absolutely stunning; this establishment lives up to it's immaculate reputation.

We had been looking forward to this for quite some time. We all had the beef Wellington- and it absolutely lived up to the hype (and my own high expectations) of being Gordon Ramsay’s signature dish.
However, the service should have been better. Our waiter seemed to forget us as soon as we were seated. I had to get his attention to have our orders taken. Then he left without asking if we wanted beverages. I waited. Then I got his attention again- ordered a glass of wine- and waited, and waited. Finally I had to get his attention again to remind him of the wine. From that point on, it was fine.
Maybe our waiter was new - but I wouldn’t expect so on a Saturday night.

The main courses are too salty!
Both of our fish and beef wellington are very salty! We drank a lot of water to wash it down!

It was the most expected restaurant in my trip! However, it is quite disappointed!

And expensive prices too.

We had a special Sunday lunch for a birthday at the Savoy Grill. We requested the set menu which had a reasonable choice of courses and was very suitable for us. I think the wine list could do with more bottles below the cost of £50, the one we had was fine but expensive.

All in all, it was the first time we had been to SG in about 10 years so it's definitely a good place to eat and I am sure we will be back again.

The dinner was great. The beef Wellington was soft and juicy. Unfortunately we had found a piece of hair inside the beef which was a little bit disgusting. But finally the staff solve the problem. Probably you guys should give discount in that kind of case

The Savoy Grill was by far my best dining experience EVER. The venue alone does not disappoint. I had no idea The Savoy Hotel would feel so incredibly palatial. It's was in a way a tourist destination I was not expecting. What made it truly spectacular was the food and service. Our waitress treated us to a complimentary appetizer and dessert. Each bite of the three course meal was DIVINE. If you are a Chef Ramsay fan, the beef wellington is even better than all of the hype! No question I would dine here again. The evening ended on the perfect note with a personalized tour of the kitchen as well. The staff was delightful and somehow made a five star restaurant feel a little like a home away from home. I could not have asked for a better first night in London.

Very rushed. The meal took less than 1 hour which is fine if you are going to the theatre but since our reservation was at 8.15pm we didn’t expect to be finished by 9.15pm after spending nearly £400. We said we felt rushed after being asked if we enjoyed our meal and we then we were offered to see the kitchens!!

While the service was excellent at the beginning, as the night progressed it slowed a bit. At the end I felt it took to long to get the staff's attention. The sommelier was excellent and really worked to make us all happy. I felt the food was in consistent. Some dishes were excellent and others not worth the price paid. Overall, I felt the $1,000 price tag for six people was not worth the value delivered. Highlights were the lobster bisque, whole lobster served two ways, the Chateaubriand, and the Peach Melba. The Beef Wellington fell short as did the side dishes. The smoked salmon appetizer was too much for one person.

Our first visit to The Savoy Grill, the first thing to notice was the extremely welcoming, friendly and helpful staff. The food was beautifully cooked and presented and also plentiful. The Savoy is an institution and a wonderful venue; the staff made our pre-theatre visit fun, not at all stuffy, we will visit again.

We visited the Savoy Grill (not for the first time) prior to a theatre trip, but found the pre-theatre menu a little limited for our taste, so went the full a la carte route. The food itself was very good, my smoked salmon starter being of reasonable high quality. We both had a pork chop for main course, and this was excellent, being moist and flavoursome. I topped mine with fried egg and smoked bacon, and this added to the enjoyment. All the sides were good as well. Of course £180 for a quick meal for two with a couple of drinks each is very steep, but you are in part paying for the quality of the surroundings and the number and attentiveness of the staff. These factors add considerably to the experience. If you are looking for great value then look elsewhere. If you value what The Savoy Grill has to offer, style, service and ambience, then it's well worth a visit.

The food is exceptional as always but we had the unfortunate experience as a large group to be served by the head waiter. In order he mixed up two people’s meals, argued with both of them that is what they ordered, argued that peppercorn sauce does go on lamb, spilt other sauce down the arm of one us, then brought the menu back to again argue with one person that rump was a lamb course when she had ordered rump steak with peppercorn. He then also played dumb when confronted. He had already taken the service charge off of the bill but the other servers were fine so we insisted it was added back.

So disappointing as all the food was very good and the arrogance and lack of apology from someone who should be the best at hosting really soured the experience.

Overall we had an excellent meal and the service was great. Ambiance however left much to be desired. The two of us were at a large round table crammed between a post and the server station by the main entrance. We were surrounded by wait staff arguing about what was being entered into the system and the hostess welcoming guests. In the words of Gordon, “bloody hell”! Very, very awkward table placement. Make sure you specify quiet table away from the door.
