So great. Great tenting blocking the breeze off the river. Great heaters well placed. Great service from start to finish. Great drinks. Limited wine list (but I didn't ask, so maybe they have more?). All the food was spectacular. Not cheap, but worth it

Great date night, love their outdoor set up. Fun ambiance (and warm!) yet felt safe with the social distancing and the air circulation. Great menu but didn’t love the rockfish tartare we got and the lobster roll was $28! (Was delicious but should’ve asked what mkt rate was). Friendly attentive staff and fun cocktails, will definitely be back

Salt Line has the best outdoor dining experience in DC. The heaters are phenomenal and you don’t even need to keep your coats on! The ambiance is nice and the staff is very friendly.

Our server (a Black woman) was incredibly rude from the start of service to the end — she didn’t even bother to bring us the check, and never asked how our meal was. We knew it was personal (and we were Black women!) because she had an entirely different attitude toward the two tables next to us, explained the menu in detail, recommended dishes, and checked on them frequently.

Love The Salt Line. Simple but sophisticated menu. It's what you'd expect from a 'fish house' with an attention to new takes on old staples, but done with respect to the original. Quality of food for price is outstanding. Ambiance is great. Much more crowded and rowdy during baseball season, especially in game day, but always fun. Bar nor full of a bunch of drunk bros pounding Busch. Off-season, go as often as you can. Quiet enough for a nice night out for two, loud enough for a party of 6 for a birthday. And don't buy the hype - the best burger is not at that French bistro you can never get a table at - it's the Smash Burger here. Probably the most underrated restaurant in DC.

Great food and great experience. The restaurant is following very strict COVID measures and has plenty of outdoor seating and heaters.

Server was very accommodating. Felt their outside dining was done as safely as possible. Burgers were very good, but lobster rolls were a bit of a disappoint, especially at that day’s market price.

We felt very "Covid Safe" eating out side and properly socially distanced.

The pumpkin soup and Parker house rolls were perfect! My partner loved the swordfish entree and fried clam appetizer. The heaters kept us comfortable even on a 35 degree afternoon (sunny). Definitely try it!

Amazing outdoor dining with excellent service!

We sat outside around 5pm today (Tuesday) in an open air tent situation , hi-top table, with heaters on either side, well-spaced from other tables. Temp was in the mid-40’s and we were very comfortable. Patrick was wonderful as our server, there when we wanted him, attentive, but unobtrusive. Music playlist created a great atmosphere, definitely looking forward to going back soon!!

We have been to the Salt Line a couple of times during the pandemic and they always do an amazing job. The covered, heated, outdoor space is perfectly suited to allow for maximum safety. We last ate there on December 18 and it was about 32 degrees out but with the heaters and our regular winter coats, it was totally comfortable. The service is fantastic and the food amazing. I recommend the burger. It’s unbelievable. Thank you Salt Line. We will be back.

HIGHLY RECOMMEND! Food and drinks and vibe are incredible. Huge fans of this restaurant. We sat outside and the weather was quite cold that particular day, so that was a struggle (but it would be anywhere these days) and we had a blast regardless. Dreaming of the crispy brussels sprouts and short ribs. Mmmm mmm gooooood. If you will be sitting outside this winter, just bring yourself a kooshy blanket for your legs and backside for extra warmth :). Would recommend a 1000x over.

We has a reservation on Saturday at 5pm. We were seated as soon as we arrived. We were 3mins late but called ahead. Parking was difficult since all of the large garages for the stadium were closed. Found hidden parking next to restaurant. Food was amazing. Ordered the levithian tower and was not disappointed. Fed a family of 4. The raw rock fish and caviar was amazing. Staff was on point and never had to wait for anything. Great suggestion on the blueberry soda. Will definitely have to visit again. Amazing view of river. Only bad thing was the wind that came river was chilly but each table had their own heater.

The food and service was wonderful. Our server was extremely knowledgeable and attentive. The ambience and covid setting was perfect. I will be back soon!

We have always loved the Salt Line and it never disappoints! Menu is always special and yummy, and the staff always seems happy and friendly. The atmosphere is extremely unique in the DC region — a little feel of New England in DC with southern touches!

The food is excellent, the drink menu is thoughtful and tasty, the heated outdoor seating on the water is delightful, and our server was very helpful and friendly.

We went out for a friends birthday, made a reservation for 5 outdoor and everything went great. They have a perfect set up of heater outside in a way that you can sit anywhere and still feel the warmth. Service was friendly and attentive. Views are perfect. Highly recommend.’

Such a great outdoor dining setup. Lots of heaters, tables spaced quite far apart (much more than 6 feet), excellent service. Haven’t found a better place to dine outside. Food excellent — don’t miss the Brussels sprouts and Stuffies.

TSL is our go-to while biking in DC. They’ve done a great job with CV19 requirements and continue to offer great food and drinks. Our server, Morgan, was amazing! A belated birthday lunch with a friend. Salt Line is well organized. Very nice food, we had the fish sandwich. Great outdoor location, it was a cold day and the heaters were not on (maybe because it was windy) which was a shame

Service was phenomenal and the food is always excellent!

We live in DC and had friends visiting from out of town and wanted to try something around the ballpark. Ordered a Bloody Mary - had one sip and it was not very good (negative) and gave it back to waiter and they credited our bill (positive). Ordered pumpkin soup which came out cold but did not want to send something else back so I ate it without complaining. The beet/burrata salad had a nice portion of burrata but only had 3 tiny slices of beets so I would have really called it just a burrata salad. Our friends said their meal was ok...but I will probably try another restaurant next time I head down to the Navy yards.
