   The food was very disappointing. Bland and not overly warm. I’ve dined at The Royal on many occasions and this was the worst re the food. It has so much potential due to the fantastic location but the food needs to be so much better. The Royal needs to up its game, unfortunately.

   Went here for lunch on Sunday. Hardly any other diners there. Ordered barramundi for main. Was very expensive and the fish didnt taste fresh. Music was way too loud, made it hard to have a conversation, had to ask for the music to be turned down. Hard to get service as waitress hardly came to the table.

    The food was nice. 1 pizza was enough for 2 of us to share for lunch. Salt and pepper squid was tasty and cooked well. Someone forgot to order the chips so can’t comment on those 😆

    We were given a quiet table as requested, for three friends to catch-up. Food ( a selection of entrees along with a Caesar salad) was very tasty and reasonably priced. Service was quick and friendly. Wine (a bottle of Prosecco) was, we felt, a bit overpriced at$60. Overall a very pleasant lunch in a lovely location.

    I had linguine marinara and it was terrible. I didn’t get close to finishing it. Linguine was overcooked, just tasted like reheated day old food. Pity because it’s in a nice setting.

    The whole dining experience was most enjoyable. The food was well presented and delicious, the ambience relaxed and quiet. No blaring music. The views of the water relaxing. The service outstanding. Prices comparable but not overpriced. A beautiful touch was the deserts, which were delicious, were “ on the house” as it was our Anniversary. Very much appreciated, especially during these tough times for the industry. All in all, a memorable experience. One of our favourite meeting places.

    Dining was relaxing & great experience. Location, food & service was excellent Two of us had a Gin & Tonic - although we drank them with lunch, the Gin used was of a poor quality & I think the Tonic used was possibly out of the postmix machine - we shall not order that again.

    Service turnaround exceptional we used the app for food and went to the bar for drinks...minimal waiting time to get served 30 seconds tops staff were on top of keeping the line at the bar moving given there was an event (AFL) on at Optus Stadium we weren't sure what to expect waiting times, crowds etc. pleasantly surprised...delicious burger, fries...

    One of my favourite places in Perth . I love it for it’s great location & ambience. It didn’t get 5 stars for food cos I feel the menu is limiting. A couple of favourites have come off the menu, eg Haloumi Burger & Steak Sandwich. I still love it though

    Booking the outside table was very easy through the website. It is a very nice environment to have your meal in overlooking the water and watching the passes by. We ordered five meals and one of the steak meals was very poor and the steak burger was nothing exceptional either. The garlic, breads and hummus are very nice. And there was a reasonable selection of alcoholic drinks. I found the restaurant very clean and the staff friendly.

    Always enjoy the Royal. A great place for after work drinks and a meal. The menu selection was very limited though. Very "pub" food - burgers and parmi with chips and salad. For the prices it was a little too basic. The menu could do with a bit more depth. But what we had was very nice.

    5 people ordered the steak. Each order was not cooked properly. The steak itself was not good quality. The sauce was not nice. The salad has come out of a pkt and the chips. For the price the meal should have Been $30. I would rate this meal as a pub meal.

    We ordered 2 chicken Caesar salads which took 25 mins to come out and was basically a plate of lettuce with 3 pieces of chicken on top at a cost of $28.45 - not fantastic I’m afraid! To be fair we asked for no croutons and one without bacon but still. The staff were very polite and helpful after I’d gone inside to chase our food up. I love the Royal and have been coming for years but not sure I’d come back for the food, sorry.

    really like the new ordering tab at table. the service was great, felt the menu a bit limited - especially the hare/smalls this could be wider range and a little more innovative. we had the garlic bread and the paste that was spread on was too strong and thick - it made the flat bread not as enjoyable - and once the garlic paste was removed it was delicious.
