8 people on our table. Food was acceptable but average.
Expensive beers at $12 a pint.
Probably explains why the place wasn’t even close to packed out for Sunday lunch.
If it was considered good value, it would be booked out.
excellent service really good staff, food disappointing
Food nice but do not appreciate having to order at bar or do it on my phone. I’m going for a day out I want table service. We have ho virus in WA so can’t use that as an excuse. Was a regular customer. Not anymore
Wonderfully position on the water, meals good value but even hough it was thr restaurant menu, it was difficult to have specific items added to your dish.
Very good service. Quick thinking staff, when family arrived was offered a different menu. She anticipated that the kids might need food first. The concept of anticipating your guests needs with ego. Best service I had in Perth. She wasn’t even the assigned waiter. Great teamwork! The assigned waiter was very efficient
Overall it was very nice. The staff were friendly but were not interested in checking back with the table once food had been served. The food was quite nice for what we had. Lovely setting. Unfortunately the parking is terrible and cost more then a main, which they cant do anything about, but just be wary.
I would not recommend The Royal on the Waterfront to anybody the service was terrible to start they gave our table to someone else the food not value for money and then when we left were outside we were accused of not paying our bill whilst one of our party was already up at the bar paying, extremely rude and disappointing. Would never go again, the only upside to this view is amazing.
Great place for a catch up with friends!
Good choice of food and drinks. Nice location.
Nice location near water with a modern decor with plenty of space between tables.
One major problem with visiting any restaurant in this location is the limited amount of street parking and the exorbitant price at the Wilson car park on a Sunday.
Staff confused about how ordering was done. Misleading.
Menu greatly reduced and size of portions greatly reduced.
Great location, good food and good variety of drinks on tap.
Very pleasant and relaxed and would highly recommend
Friendly staff but they didn’t come to check if everyone had their meals so we had to go up to ask where our 8th meal was after the other 7 people had finished ours. $35.00 for a chicken dish is very steep when there isn’t enough on the plate to feed a child, let alone an adult. 3/4 of our meals came out Luke warm too. I think the wait staff just need a little training on table service and customer service.
Absolutely loved the fish pie! The service was fantastic as always and can't fault the location.
I’ve eaten at the Royal many times and noticed that the venue is beginning to look tired and the service has significantly diminished. It appears that the care factor for customer service in non-existent, suggesting that the management is underperforming. It’s certainly noticeable that the Royal ain’t what it use to be which is very disappointing.
Lovely location for after work catch or a special lunch. Beautiful food and great service, with a lovely outlook.
Great food, especially the chicken dish. Would recommend.
We had a great meal great service and great wine
A couple of noisy neighbours but not much the restaurant could do about that as spacing was adequate.
Definitely be back.
The food atmosphere staff and location was very good. Was very relaxing will be back
Food is typical pub food. I have been dining at the Royal for 10 years and I feel the food quality has diminished over the years.
Outstanding food, wonderful staff and service. Will 100% be back again many times!
We had a great time, food was nice and the ambiance was good.
Overpriced and less than average food.
Waited an hour or more for food that was less appetising than a bar meal.
I would go back to the Royal sgain
A great location with good food and service, although as they got busy getting attention was challenging
Great service. Friendly and helpful staff. Great location. Tasteful menu
Great service and food we will be coming back great venue
My girlfriend Jess and I love our date at the Royal on Saturday night. The service was outstanding, the food was Devine and the overall feel of the place was just perfect.
Thank you So much, we’ll be back for sure.
It is a great place for lunch, easy enough to talk work. Staff tried albeit a couple of things were missed but a simple reminder and they were on it.
It's definitely a place you want to go back to over and over, the view is beautiful, the environment beautiful, the scenery itself is great I love it, take your family or friends. You won't regret it.
Great place go sit outside and watch the world and the boats go by. We only shared small bites but we we had was very tasty especially the prawns.
always a nice way to spend an afternoon , its not really extraordinary in any way just a nice place in a great location with good service , unless you think you are Bono or Bill Gates you will probably have a lovely time.
Fantastic location and great service. Sides are ridiculously over priced but overall great night
Service was good but couldn’t see or read the menu without a torch as was so dark outside with no light at all, and the food was pretty expensive for just half a chicken ( for example ) and nothing else with it $35. Outside area was pretty unattractive too but the view was amazing If they want to be busy they need to up their game to meet value for money of surrounding areas and just add the little bits to make liable have light and look more attractive xx
Disappointed by the menus. Not much choice very limited. Very basic. Coffee was cold when we got it. Cakes we ordered weren’t available. Had been there roughly 8 weeks ago was much better. Had recommended to friends we attended with , was quite embarrassing.
Lovely place, great service from waiter and lovely food. The wait for food was far too long for little ones who were tired and the entre needed to come earlier to keep them happy. Otherwise all was great.
Great food and yummy cocktail! Service was great and beautiful surroundings.
Lovely Place for a pint, Food was terrible and service was worse
Really enjoyed the food, although was unsure when I read the menu. I thought it was a little bit dark at the outside table, overall very good
We were recommended to try the a Royal by friends. Our experience was not quite what we thought. We were seated in the table service area but due to perceived lack of staff left to wait too long for service. One of our table decided to order drinks at the bar,as we had nothing but water for the first 15 mins, but was told he had to wait for table service which when it came was good. However we were only served as the people on the next table offered we go ahead as we had waited so long. Drinks were great. Food order was held up as our fish pie had been given to another table so we all elected to wait for a new one to be cooked. Food was good once received. Main criticism is lack of service- staff were good just not enough of them
