Great staff, good atmosphere, great happy hour, great Asian wings, great service
Really good food but the wait staff had absolutely no idea what they were doing. Nice people but completely unprepared and overwhelmed by just 7 tables of people (not even crowded)
Great food, great service, great atmosphere, loved Malita
Thoroughly enjoyed our brunch. Staff was pleasant. I will definitely return
The music was awesome. The staff friendly. The food amazing. Will definitely be back!
Great experience, delicious food, music could have been a little lower and they were out of dessert but other than that great!
I absolutely loved my experience at The Row Harlem!!! The brunch and endless mimosa was bomb!
The food was really good, I've already told others about it and plan on coming there before the end of the month.
Very disappointed. I come here often. And more times than not, items aren’t available on both food and drink menu.
The portions reasonable and food quite tasty. The service was great as well. Small spot great for a intimate meal.
The food was on point . I had the escovitch fish and my husband had the steak. The place is really small but loved the atmosphere . Music was playing .
This was one of the worst dining experiences I’ve ever had. We waited for over two hours for our food, which never fully came. My crab cake Benedict ended up being two crab cakes. No English muffin. No egg. No hollandaise. There were no home fries with the steak and eggs. One person in our party had to leave before getting any food because 30 minutes went by before they came to tell us they were out of most of the menu. It took two hours for two pieces of cornbread! If it takes that long to make it red velvet then it’s definitely not worth it. We got extra mimosas, but in the end that didn’t close to making up for everything. It’ll take a lot for me to go back to The Row.
Love the restaurant, live in the neighborhood and have been a few times. This visit was a bit of a mess because we had repeated and unnecessary disasters with our order. A basic request to leave a sauce off the dish due to a dairy allergy required too much intervention and resulted in side orders that we did not request.
Part of the problem appears to be the fact that wait staff is not dedicated to specific tables. I believe that three separate people were involved with our table. This works well for water but cross-fertilizing responsibility for orders causes confusion and errors.
Also, there must be a disconnect between wait staff and the chef because the request for no sauce clearly was not received by him or was mistakenly ignored. In the end, we enjoyed the meal but it took a few attempts to get the order right.
I am really happy to have this new place to enjoy in the neighborhood. The deviled eggs are to die for. And I really want you to succeed. A little finessing/additional training for the staff would be great.
I came here for my birthday brunch and I must say, I was impressed! I already reserved reservations and it was a bad rainy day so I didn’t have to wait to be seated at all. The service was quick, our questions were answers and the food was well put together. I enjoyed the red velvet cornbread. The mimosas were my favorite. I will definitely recommend and come back to The Row especially for brunch.
The place is small good place for conversation or a date. The music was 90s and 2000s which was great. The food was amazing. No complaints here. Definitely a spot I will go to again. I went for a small birthday brunch.
Ran out of food
Cute spot for a speakeasy-ish date night. Excellent bartender!
It was my second visit; first for dinner. It's a great neighborhood spot. I will visit again. I recommend it!
My new go to place for Brunch. Will definitely return to try more dishes.
Would absolutely recommend The Row Harlem. Menu is delectable. Chef Wlliams and his team know what they are doing back in that kitchen! Can't wait to return. Menu is inventive and cutting edge, without trying to hard to be over the top! Love it! Servcie is delightful! My new spot!
We went during Harlem Restaurant Week. We loved the food. It was really delicious. There was a happy hour going on at the same time which made it a little bit louder than I would have liked, but I enjoyed the music selection. Service was good. Although, it took some time for our third course to come out. Overall, I had a great dining experience and would likely go back again.
Jerk Mac n Cheese was 🔥🔥🔥
Brussel Sprouts 💯
Certain dishes can be heavy on the truffle oil but overall food was good
Ambiance was amazing..........Some staff seemed unfriendly but most were great. Food was DELICIOUS! Nextime I will try the brussel sprouts....I had the Lobster roll.......very fresh! Definitely a return trip is on my calendar.
Great bartender .. Knowledgeable server and phenomenal food
This is my second time at The Row Harlem. It will not be my last. Once again the food was amazing the highlight of the evening was the fried brussels sprouts so delicious on every level. Once again my friend and I had to speak with the chef to find out how he can eat is such a delicious meal. When chef came out He was gracious and friendly and was more than happy to speak with us. Being at The Row feels like being home. I saw the familiar faces from my first visit and was treated like family.
Great pickles and chicken and waffles!!! Oh and ur damn devil eggs HELLO!! Don’t forget the drinks were so yummy!!
Amazing food, awesome drinks, delightful staff... call ahead if you are going with a large party but all in all this place is one of Harlem’s gems!
Food was good but took forever. Appetizers came out with my meal which came out well after everyone else’s...about 2 hours after arrival. They had no dessert which was disappointing for a lover like me. I was looking forward to that portion of the meal. Place was well decorated. Had a good vibe. We’d reserved a table in advance but they weren’t prepared for us, they moved people around and created a space near rest room and kitchen which was slightly uncomfortable. Waitress was delightful but slightly overwhelmed due to short staffing. The staff was nice, friendly and polite. The experience wasn’t horrific, Just need a few tweaks. I may be back in a few weeks for another reservation before I call it quits so hopefully things go better.
This particular night the chef left for the day or decided to not show up for his shift, meaning there was no food...I was not notified prior to, the waitress apologized and said that all reservations were cancelled and that the was a limited food menu and full bar service only. There were no more than 10 tables (mostly 2 seaters), very small space and not worth the time or effort. Highly disappointed, but hey Ponty Bistro is a hit right across the street!!
Came here for brunch on Mother’s Day. They had a live band performing old school hits. It was extremely energetic which my mother loved. She ordered the chicken and waffles and I had the steak and eggs. Both meals were delicious. Our server was new on the job which was charming but it did take some time to get his attention to refill drinks and for the check.
Took my aunt and mother here for a Mother’s Day brunch. The food tasted great but the service was very lacking. The staff with the exception of one waiter had terrible attitudes. They were out of certain menu items, which I don’t understand seeing as you’d expect it to be a busy day, and brunch service just had begun. They also serve no dessert for brunch which I thought was weird. Overall based on my experience and the fact that the space was tiny for offering restaurant service, I would not recommend this place. There are far better options around the neighborhood.
This is my favorite spot in Harlem! The staff are genuinely good people focused on customer service. The food is always good and consistent. And the drinks....wow! Watch out for that sangria! Amazing but it definitely sneaks up on you! And the Frose' can't be beat!!! Do not miss paying a visit to the Row Harlem.
The Row is the newest restaurant and lounge to open on 7th avenue in Harlem! I typically do not write reviews for new establishments opened less than two months because as someone who has worked in the hospitality industry I know it takes a couple of months for new restaurants to work out the kinks so consider this an announcement of a new business. The owners are born and raised Harlem and excited to bring this option the historic area known as Strivers’ Row.
This space was formerly occupied by the Jamaican American restaurant called Hyacinth’s Haven. The new owners have completely revamped the basement level area into a sexy space with beautiful chandlers, perfect ambiance, carefully crafted and smooth signature cocktails, and a food menu where presentation and taste match one another. The Row has a very mature atmosphere where you can sip on some of the finest cocktails while hearing Anita Baker playing in the background. The icing on the cake is this is a black-owned business as well.
Their menu included appetizers, entrees, and desserts that offer up vegetarian options well. The drink menu for The Row Harlem was crafted by Courtney Haughton which is well known and respected in the restaurant industry. Courtney has created his spin on the Rum Punch drink which is called Planters Punch. The owners anticipate having a brunch option by February so stay tuned for a full review of that. Check out some of my photos and their Instagram photos as well below.
I had a great time food was good. However drinks was a little pricey. I went on Wednesday and the vibe was good. It was small but there was an exit in the back.
I had the best experience here for brunch. Not only was the food bomb but Angie was such a great server. I’d highly recommend the jerk mac n cheese and the brussels. The service was spot on!
Newest gem in Harlem. The Mac and cheese, either one, amazing! They can make you eat your veggies, Brussels off the chain! The owner is very friendly and personable, he always makes sure you’re having a great time. And let’s not forget the sangria! Yum!
The food is amazing
Excellent bistro style restaurant which was exactly what I was looking for my small brunch celebration with friends. Atmosphere is very chic! Food was awesome! Highly Recommend it!
Excellent Service, Friendly Staff, Greeted by owner. Excellent drink choices - you must try the Frose.
The food is delicious - Asian wings and Jerk Mac and Cheese are my favorite. Great atmosphere, music just right where you can still hold a conversation. Could not have asked for a better dining experience.
Upon arriving the place was small and noisy for kids..not very kid friendly for brunch. The waitress was not very accommodating how ever host /manager was able to get us settled. One plus was the food, taste was good! Music was more for an older hip crowd not for family brunch setting...chill out with your girls or buddies kinda place!!
