We were there for a Fringe show last Saturday night. They were seriously under the pump, and possibly understaffed, but the bar and kitchen staff were doing a fantastic job and remained calm and friendly under pressure. Ordered 4 meals (same table), first two came out together and the other two about 15-20 minutes later. Staff were apologetic and gave us a free drink. Not sure what the issue was. Food was tasty and good value.

Platters were amazing and plenty of food. Burgers were a hit and schnitzels looked fantastic - great dining experience, better than your average pub food - it’s definitely a step up 👍🏼

Unfortunate that our meals weren't all that we ordered, but like the location and had a great table and the road noise was no distraction at all. Friendly staff but one got the order wrong.
We went here on a Sunday night as we were staying in the city.
I found the Rob Roy in the Entertainment Book and it was a good pick. The staff were friendly and the atmosphere was lovely. The food was great. My husbands steak was cooked to perfection and my barramundi was delicious.
We would definitely go again.
Staff were a bit hit and miss. One guy told us he would come take our order and never returned. New guy did take our order and fellow staff member came to clarify the order but then a meal was still forgotten. Bar tender was VERY slow at pouring drinks. All staff were friendly however it just felt a bit disorganised and confusing. Wasn’t an unpleasant experience, just all over the shop.
