I'm bringing a friend to have lunch there next Tuesday! My husband loves going there on the weekends for lunch. The coffee is wonderful and we love the patterns on top!
Stunning views of the River in Albury. Relaxed atmosphere. Modern food choices that were healthy and filling. Perfect place to meet friends or to just escape.
Great food and great service. We have just moved to the area and can’t wait to go back!
Service was spot on, friendly and capable staff. We had barramundi and 400g steak, both cooked to perfection. Also enjoyed the cherry dessert, divine flavours. Plating was beautiful.
Only negative was a fly that bothered us all night - we were indoors, & glare from the sun early in the evening. Both minor and trumped by the quality of food and service. Thank you
The staff is welcoming and friendly. Food is great. A little bit noisy and difficult to have a conversation with the noise level when full house. I would like to suggest the Cafe stop using plastic straws if possible.
Good experience and would recommend to a friend. Food was yummy
We had a great night with family great food, excellent service, all enjoyed the night
Really nice, quiet place for lunch or dinner. Right next to the river very picturesque. Great food and service. Highly recommend it!
Service was slow, food OK, dirty cultery arrived with my coffee
Over-priced and ingredients so pre-prepared, it all felt stale. Way too fussy menu and food combinations didn't work.
We really enjoyed our dining experience at The River Deck Cafe, staff were friendly and efficient and the food was excellent. Great atmosphere will go back again very enjoyable day.
Great service - staff very helpful. Quick delivery of meals. Good coffee
Service was great and the restaurant was a nice temperature on a very hot day. Many thanks to our service provider Sam. Food was very nice. Yes I will recommend to others and I will be back
Our group of five - ranging in age from 7 to 89 - had a most enjoyable lunch at the River Deck Cafe. As it was a 40 degree day, I'm very glad that I specifically requested a table inside! The menu was comprehensive and we found great meals that suited everyone, and each of us were very happy with the food. We found the restaurant to be a little on the noisy side, due to the good number of happy diners inside, but given the wide range of ages within our group, this worked to our advantage. Next time we visit Albury we will factor in another meal there.
Great service, thoroughly enjoyable :) Dog friendly. Wonderful views, such a scenic spot
Service was surprisingly slow considering the amount of patrons at the time. The staff were lovely but seemed a little flustered and unorganised. Meals took a long time to come out and were fairly bland. They also ran out of tap beer at 7:30pm
We really enjoyed the food but neither of my two bookings were registered with them. Even though I had email confirmation. The waiter didn’t articulate certain parts of then menu very well, this causing order confusion. They constantly apologised for slow poor service due to being too busy. This is a staffing issues that should be rectified by management. Food was very nice though. A bit over priced, but nice.
Great venue for a hot day - plenty of food options available. Service was spot on
Great food, service and great place for a family gathering ☝️
Disappointing wait times for service, which was unusual as the place wasn't packed. Perhaps a shortage of staff?! Not their best.
Great location and setting. Staff were very obliging and efficient. Above all, the food was delicious and well presented - a good range on menu too.
Great venue close to the Murray River, great service and food.
We found the dinner choice limited and prices exhorbitant for what you got. The ambience and view were sensational and the service very attentive.
As a Marriage Celebrant, I often arrange to meet my clients at the Riverdeck Cafe. The staff are always hospitable, friendly and nothing is ever too much bother. It is a beautiful location and I find I can hold my meetings with my couples in a relaxed atmosphere which has a scenic outlook.
Wonderful river side setting, serving gorgeous regional food and wine. We had a family Christmas lunch celebration here and were very happy. The steak was amazing and the wine list really well put together. Very fresh oysters. Service was very friendly and knowledgeable, but quite slow from seating to eating. Allow time for a leisurely lunch in this beautiful spot.
Lovely spot by the river. Friendly and attentive staff. Food was quite nice really enjoyed the fish.
We bookd as it was Christmas-time. The service was great, food was great with variety. Spot on deck was as requested. The view is lovely, and other diners were friendly and respectful.
We have been there before and will definitely return.
The room was a little noisy at first but quietened down after a while. The food was most delicious and there was lots of it!
Our group of 10 had a very enjoyable afternoon with great food and drinks, service by Janie was outstanding.
thanks so much
We went to the River Deck for breakfast and the food and service was excellent in every respect. Interesting twist on many dishes and fast and efficient service.
Wonderful business lunch. Stunning setting, wonderful service. Will return soon!!
This is a favorite dining place of mine where I frequently join friends or take visitors. It's in a beautiful environment overlooking the Murray River.
Food is okay but the waiting time is way too long . waited for 40 mins an got our entree served and another 30 mins for our mains. that’s not acceptable.
Food exceptional but service slow.Duck in one serve was not up to rest of food quality however was amicably sorted by efficient staff.
Sitting on the open sided deck with an immediate vista of trees flanking the Murray River, a cold beer to hand, you wouldn't be dead for quids. Presently my friend arrived and we studied the menu, finding it a difficult task: swarms of tempting tapas dishes, and likable options in the main meals area. Finally, we decided on "twice-baked" duck.
Error, error! Bedded on salty pellets resembling tapioca sat two excellent looking pieces of duck, alongside caramelised roasted onion and baby carrots. The first slice or two of duck tasted fine, but thereafter I could hardly prise the pieces off the bone. Stringy, possibly undercooked I'd say, and definitely not living up to expectations. Having eaten duck around the world (and cooked it many times) I know what to expect -- succulent flesh that melts in the mouth. As for the carrots, I'm all for the al dente tradition, but these were rock hard and impossible to halve with the knife. At least the onion slivers had the right texture.
My friend elected to have panna cotta for dessert. This looked wonderful, especially the poached pear, obviously soft enough to be easily spooned up.
I'll certainly return to The River Deck some fine day, but I'll avoid the duck. Perhaps two or three tapas selections might be the go.
Food was average, a mixture of ingredients that didn’t complement each other. Dessert was a large bowl of chocolate muck unable to eat due to being so unpleasant.
Excellent food. Great service and atmosphere. Would recommend.
You always go away satisfied and happy, the food, the staff everything is excellent
Food was average, not tasty. Disappointed. I expected a higher quality
Enjoyed the food and atmosphere, very helpful and friendly staff. Maybe a tad overpriced for some meals.
