Always top notch. We have a 2 year and it’s family friendly as well as being a classy establishment with a great vibe, great food, great service. A standout on the UWS.
Beyond burgers were not cooked!!! Three of us had Beyond burgers ALL were cold and not cooked. I asked the waiter about it being cold and she said, “yes it is supposed to be that way”??????
Great food at a fun place to watch sports
Cool space but Poor service. Had to chase down server for any water, etc.
Food ok. Baked eggs were not baked, rather 2 poached eggs dropped on top of the sauce.
Food was excellent and so was the service! A local place that we always go back to.
Great New York City Brunch!
There's a great treat here during happy hour. Their special includes yummy oysters and shrimp cocktail, and the drinks are just as delicious.
Staff is friendly and know the menu very well and their suggestions for our dinner was delicious, the short ribs and lobster and shrimp curry.
This was our second visit. The decor and ambiance are very nice and the service is very friendly and attentive. The food and drinks are very expensive not that good , though. Our party ordered the flatbread which was good, the chips, roasted chicken which was almost flavorless and had a mushy texture, a French dip which did not taste fresh, and a $43 steak which was ok, not great. We also were celebrating a birthday, and the waiter was very sweet to put a candle in our dessert, but it was just silently placed on the table without a word. Did not feel festive.
My husband and I have been coming to The Ribbon for a few years on date night. Wr love the Marrow appetizer, the fried chicken and fried chicke. Sandwich are to die for and cocktails are delish. Great HH as well. We will continue to come as part of our traditions.
The food we ate was good. Our service was decent, but for the amount we paid...take it or leave it. I also made specific notes in my OpenTable reservation that it was my husbands birthday and no effort was made to acknowledge it. I saw other tables with birthday treats.
Grain bowl salads are a terrific lunchtime option, and the green goddress dressing is fantastic. Fried chicken is simply among the best in town. Disappointing item at this most recent lunch: the breakfast sandwich was not up to par with the rest of the offerings.
Great customer service and excellent fried chicken. Not greasy
Great spot - just a stone's throw from Strawberry Fields in Central Park. Food was good for sure; however, $20 for a cheeseburger is pricey even in NYC.
Really great place to meet up with friends! Definitely recommend!
The food and drinks were excellent. The gentleman who refilled our water and cleared the table was wonderful. We saw our server Micheal 3 times. Once to take our drink order. Once for our food order and once to let us know after we had finished our food that his shift was over and another server would be taking over. Then we watched him leave through the kitchen in his workout clothes. Our new server dropped off the dessert menu and disappeared for 20 minutes. This was 7:30 on a Saturday night. We’ve never been so conflicted about an experience. While the food was great, the service was abysmal.
utterly disgusting and inedible food. so ridiculous they are even still open. it is a shame as the location is gorgeous
The ambiance is sleek with low lighting and moderate level music. Food is absolutely on point! Ive been before for brunches, but this was the first time for dinner. Everything was outstanding. Deviled eggs, BBQ ribs for apps. Oxtail burger & Pork sandwich for entrees. All was phenomenal!
Consistently great service and food. Best spot in the neighborhood.
Great food and vibe
Casual place, basic menu very well done, drinks and service outstanding.
We were there in the early afternoon, prior to the Sox v Yankees game, and it was quiet and the service was excellent. 4 adults and 2 kids, all enjoyed the food and the setting. I would recommend this restaurant but did find the appetizers to be a bit expensive.
Visiting NYC, excellent meal and service!
I called to confirm my reservation and remind the restaurant I wanted a candle put in my friends dessert of choice for his birthday got to the restaurant they had the reservation for three instead of two we had to move the table they brought me the wrong kind of meat the waiter argued with me that’s what I ordered he finally took it back brought what I originally ordered it was salty and looked like it had died never refilled our water never asked us if we wanted more drinks did not put a candle in my friends dessert I told the manager manager apologized I asked the waiter for the check he said the manager said there was no charge the manager should have come over and told us that
yes it was nice but the manager didn’t handle it well either so disappointing this restaurant used to be one of my favorites
Overall great food, service and experience. They do need to increase the air conditioning in the back dining room. It was uncomfortably warm.
Great atmosphere, attentive staff and fabulous menu! Food and cocktails were wonderful!
Nice night with the doors open in front, wait staff was exceptional and friendly as always - food was excellent as usual
Our server, Chris, was outstanding! He was friendly, funny, and gave great suggestions for the menu, took great care of our drinks.
Food, drinks and service was outstanding!
Great happy hour. Perfect Old Fashioned. Did not feel rushed at all. Mac n cheese fries bites are delicious as well as fingerling potatoes.
We went for lunch celebrating a friends birthday.. The waiter was curt and rude. The runner or manager (not sure which) saved the day. Hope we don’t have to see that waiter at our next visit.
This was a favorite restaurant of ours, right around the corner from home, and have been there more than a dozen times. This experience wasn't a good one. First they tried to seat us next to a large table with an infant immediately next to us, way past her bed time. Then they reluctantly agreed to move us to one of the many open tables available at the time. But the tables are so close together, and the restaurant on this night was so loud, that it wasn't an enjoyable experience, as it was hard not to hear, and be heard by, the people next to us. Prime Rib at $61 is in the midtown steak house price range, but nothing about this restaurant deserves it any longer. We were rushed in and out - the main course came before the bread that I requested. Water glasses went unfilled, and I felt rushed and was out of there in about 45 minutes. Finally, I left my credit card (get rid of the books please!) and at first they couldn't find it when I called, and then they did, but nobody could be bothered to look me up on Open Table to send me a text, email or call.
Loved the Burget and the tap Rose' was surprisingly fabulous!
We had then French dip and Roasted Meat Salad both were delish. Also good sized potions. A bit noisy but otherwise a nice ambience. Heavy dark wood and low lighting create a nice mood.
The Ribbon has such a varied and unique menu—the food is always tasty and fresh, and the service is fantastic!
Very good service.
Basically we loved our meal at The Ribbon. Service was superb, the food delicious, tough priced
on the high side. The restaurant wasn't crowded, which was good. The only problem was that there
was a birthday party going on with about 15 teenage girls. They were well-behaved for the most
part and the restauant was most accommodating in moving us, but still it was somewhat noisy, but
still we loved our meal mostly because the staff was so good!
Menu was a bit unusual I’m not sure what genre they are shooting for-however food was really good we thought it was expensive even for Manhattan- $139 for lunch for 2 on a Wednesday is hefty. Did include 3 wines and a dessert-but a salad, a side and an appetizer- seemed a lot.
We thoroughly enjoyed our dinner from start (risotto appetizer) to finish (sticky toffee dessert)! The service was excellent and the food was truly fantastic. Beautiful space with great ambience. Will definitely be returning!
We had a great meal, fantastic service from beginning to end
We frequently visit The Ribbon and usually have a great experience. However recently the service has been sub par. The servers are lacking in customer service. Also the food was not great - usually the short ribs are perfection but they were very over cooked. Hopefully this was a one time thing because we love coming to this spot.
