Cool venue, low-lighting and funky decor. Menu fairly limited but food good quality.
Rag Trader is awesome. Great food and drink. Friendly wait staff and bartenders. A very cool atmosphere as well. Just a great NYC place.
We went to The Rag Trader for dinner to celebrate our anniversary. When we arrive, two glasses of Prosecco were already on the table. Food and service were very good. Will definitely return.
Perfect place to celebrate something special or just have a nice bite to eat. Food was delicious and the service was outstanding!
Excellent Saturday brunch at RagTrader! Loved the bottomless booze option. Burger was fantastic as was the BLT.
Met a friend here for dinner and cocktails. Service was good. Food is a little pricey for what you get but not too bad. Drink prices are reasonable. Will come back. Fun atmosphere. Came for the live music but there wasn’t any...?
loved the decor too - mussels were to die for and so was the cauliflower appetizer
Had diner at the rag trader. Was great mix of American food. Ribeye steak was tender and tasty. salad were fresh.
Moved after diner to the go peep for cocktails and drinks. Had live music show which was great fun
Design of the place is cool. Really liked the atmosphere
Great wait staff
Don’t go thinking it’ll be quiet
Dark / well themed
Cauliflower & Feta fritters are one of the best things I’ve ever eaten.
Always a consistently great meal. Great drinks. Great service My favorite go to
Omelette for $16 that has just a few greens and nothing else feels overpriced.
My sister from Chicago joined me for the weekend and we headed to Ragtrader to celebrate her birthday. I originally booked a table but we sat at the bar for a drink and were so comfortable, we ate dinner right there. The wings and Mac and Cheese were totally amazing. When dinner was complete, a surprise, yummy dessert arrived to make my sister’s birthday perfect. Ragtrader is a fabulous place to dine in NYC! I will return!
Hidden gem in midtown! Amazing food and cocktails.
First ones there 11:00. Everyone was great
Our server Lou was fantastic. We were not in a rush so we didn’t care but the food took a bit because we were behind a couple of large parties. But the food was excellent (salmon poki, spring salad and crispy salmon. It is not the quietest at lunch time but not overly noisy. I’ll definitely went back
The taste of the food did not live up to the promise of the menu but it's a nice place to have a lunch
My wife and I spent a nice evening in a typical American restaurant in Mid-Manhattan. Good food, nice mix of youth and "experienced" international clientele. Attentive service and honest prices: good value for your money.
We highly recommend the Rag Trader and have been doing so to all
Our designer friends and colleagues who work in the garment district . It’s a fabulous space that has been wonderfully designed , chic and modern with a cool , dare I say it soho house vibe, The menu is sophisticated with delicious options for everyone , they have a great cocktail menu and the downstairs bo-peep lounge takes cocktails to the next level . The servers are friendly and attentive, welcoming new guests and Remembering the needs of their many regulars.. it’s great for a business lunch , catching up with friends , Special
Celebrations , pre-theatre dinner or just a relaxing dinner to chill
Out after a long day designing dresses !!
Great American food. Nice atmosphere. Service was very attentive.
Excellent service and ambiance. Our server suggested a nice bottle of wine that we thoroughly enjoyed. We shared a few dishes that were all quite good. We tried the chicken wings, ribs, cauliflower fritters, sopressata pizza and chicken liver mousse. We were there on a Wednesday evening. Although it was busy, not all the tables were occupied. We were able to sit and talk without feeling rushed. We will definitely go back!
The ambiance and food were great! Service was slow, but we weren’t in a rush. I would recommend and plan to come back.
First time customer, and was pleasantly surprised by the design and feel of the restaurant. It was a late dinner on a Sunday, and the service was attentive, the food was delicious, and the drinks were good. Would definitely return.
We sat outside so the noise level was a bit less than inside, but overall atmosphere in both venues was nice. The service was excellent and staff were accommodating. Food was very good. We ordered and shared the stuffed cauliflower entree and the scallop small plate with a side of sweet potato fries. 2 glasses of wine and all less than $100. Worth another visit next time we are in the city.
Fantasizing birthday dinner with burlesque dancers! Thanks again for making my birthday celebration special
Everything was Amazing! Made Birthday Reservations & Was Seated As Soon As We Arrived Our Waiter Was Awesome, The Mac n Cheese Was Phenomenal !!! And The Burlesque Show Was So Good!
Very upscale 1930's vibe with a modern twist. The food was tasteful, the waiter was lovely, and the ambiance was simply gorgeous.
The wait staff was great. The bar staff was rude and very unprofessional. There are to many other options to waste time here.
I loved all the food flavors. I was also very happy to see fancy vegan options and above all Nick's service was superb!
enjoyed the rag trader. great location for the theatre district as well as the garden. the service and food were good.
Depends on your needs. It has a limited menu but what it does it does well.
Some how they knew it was my birthday and brought out cake with a lit candle. So sweet!
I had mussels that were delicious, but my friend had the caesar salad and it was very dry as was the chicken added to it.
Service also wasn't the best for a restaurant that wasn't full.
Lovely meal, great atmosphere and the food was exceptional.
Service was very good.
Had the salmon which was beautiful!
Went to Rag Trader before a concert at MSG. We had 2 kids with us for dinner and they put us in a converted van upstairs which was fantastic!! Kept the littles entertained all evening. Service, drinks, food, all great. Will definitely go back!
Beautiful setting & awesome service and food!
Great overall dining experience. Service was thoughtful and attentive. The entire meal was outstanding. The cocktails were unique and delicious. Would highly recommend.
Good vibe in the restaurant. Enjoyed the pizza and other shareable items. Would recommend.
Our waitress was very nice and efficient. It was a busy night and she clearly had a lot of tables, but was able to get to us every time we needed her. The food and drinks were great, as was the ambiance. Really cool place and loved the decor!
Excellent bar scene and great new American options. Service was solid though we had to order all at once. Octopus a little rubbery but seasoned beautifully. Black rice with salmon very nice. The deviled eggs nothing special, but good.
Took forever to get waited on, once available was good at suggesting options but wasn’t proactive about checking on us.
